The whole experience with Cherie Efken and her team at C. Estate Sales wildly exceeded our expectations - they are amazing!! Under the time-crunch of a looming cross-country move, we decided we needed to hold a Moving Sale! Worried about managing the logistics of trying to hold such a sale ourselves given our time pressure, we asked our realtor if she knew of anyone that could help us. She recommended C. Estate Sales - it was one of the best recommendations we have ever gotten!
After speaking to Cherie on the phone, we decided she would come to the house to review what we wanted to sell to determine if there was enough to hold a good sale, and if she thought we could earn enough to make it worth our while after subtracting her commission. Cherie was fantastic - professional, friendly and very knowledgeable: she knows her business. We decided to hold the sale with C. Estate Sales and it was one of the best decisions we've made during this moving process!! A few days before the sale Cherie & her team came to the house to price, organize and stage our items for the sale. We could have never done the job they did, as well as they did, ourselves. Our house looked like a little boutique!
Every single member of the C.Estates Sales team who entered our home was professional, courteous, kind, efficient and just a pleasure to be around. These types of life transitions can be so stressful, but Cherie & her team alleviated all of the stress related to the sale of our things. Because of the following Cherie has built over her years in business, on the morning of the sale there were over 40 people waiting for the doors to open at 9a.m.! Cherie and her team conducted our sale over a two-day period and we were absolutely thrilled with how much they got sold & the prices they achieved.
After the sale was over, we were given time to go through what remained to pull anything that we wanted to keep. A couple days later a member of Cherie's team came back to our house to oversee the pickup of what was being donated - she itemized the donations for us, and after they were picked up did a light cleaning of the house so that it was left in the same condition as before the sale started.
If you are at all thinking about holding a moving or estate sale, you owe it to yourself to call Cherie Efken before you do anything else. The stress that is eradicated by using C. Estate Sales far, far exceeds what Cherie charges for her services. That alone is worth the cost, but by the way, you will make money if you use C. Estate Sales!!

Company failed to remove its property in timely manner and merchant behaved in a threatening manner when asked to leave. Police had to be called to get merchant to return keys and vacate property. When I questioned merchant about items that were missing and not accounted for in her invoice, she refused to provide further documentation. When I asked her to explain financial discrepancies in her invoice, she refused to discuss the issue further. Merchant was disingenuous at best and has refused to discuss the issue further with my attorney.

"The member's complaint seems to be inventory & price accountability. The first time this was discussed or was a requirement was after the sale. I provided her to the best of my ability a list of the major items sold and price. No major appliances were for sale or any sold. The member's belated requirements were not part of any pre-sale discussion nor were they part of the contract she signed. The member's time line for all property removal was unrealistic, since no goodwill services pick up on weekends. She called on Sunday after the sale upset that the house was not empty. After her phone call, I went to remove my property and speak with her, she would not answer the door. I let myself in with the key given to me, she was upset, asked me to leave, I did, and she asked for the key back, I said "no, not till my property is removed." This probably was the threatening part for her, not my intent. The police were called, I fully cooperated, and after much confusion I removed all belongings from the member's home. The goodwill pick up was discussed and it was decided that I would meet them as originally planned on Monday. I answered all correspondence written by her in good faith, and have done my best to give her the information she wants. The sale was so successful I paid her more than the contracted amount. If she wishes to discuss it with her lawyer that is her option, he has never contacted me. Cherie Efken, C Estate Sales"
