Be prepared to receive text messages and phone calls at odd hours demanding payment, threatening cessation of service, and threatening to send you to a collection agency. Not because of any misdeed on your part, but because he forgot to send you an invoice, or sent it to someone else, or lost your e-mail address, and/or misplaced your check. It is very likely your local neighborhood kid provides equally good lawn and landscape services, is less expensive, is more polite, and has better organizational and bookkeeping skills.
