Glass Monkey Windshields

Chris had to check the price of my windshield replacement, but he called back within 20 minutes with an estimate. We then scheduled an appointment for him to come out, and to my surprise it was within one business day (called on Friday, he came out on Monday). We discussed my concern about Land Cruiser's unique requirement for sealing the windshield, and he assured me it would not be a problem. He quoted me one price, and told me if the weatherstrip/gasket needed to be replaced it would be an additional $100-ish (the weatherstrip/gasket was more than the glass). I told him I'd check on the factory part as well, and he told me that he figured the one it had now could be reused. Day of the appointment: I was going to be running a little behind and called Chris to let him know. He asked if it was alright if he stopped off in Meridian on the way to Nampa for another customer. I was more than happy to oblige since I was the one throwing off his schedule. Even with the extra stop he was right on time for when I pushed the appointment back to! He then was able to replace the windshield and reused the existing weatherstrip/gasket (although, he did have a replacement with him if it had needed it). Oh, and the replacement weatherstrip/gasket he brought with him he was able to find from another source and was about $75 cheaper than the first one he had found! We chatted while he replaced the windshield, and he was done VERY quickly. He left me with a nice clear field of vision to drive with, and a windshield that now had a tinted strip at the top. He will be my "Go-to" for windshields in the future. I even carry some of his business cards with me just in case I hear someone say they need a replacement.
