Sorry, this matter is currently in litigation, so I need to pull it down....
"To Whom It May Concern: Hi my name is Robert Lee I am the owner of Blackfoot Transmissions. I am responding to a complaint that was filed by [Member name removed]. [Member name removed] called me last year and told me that his vehicle had broken down on the one-way in town and that he needed me to come over there and tow it back to my shop. We have done lots of work for him in the past despite people telling me to stay away from him because he's a crook. I gave Mr. [Member name removed] the benefit of the doubt and We went and picked his vehicle up and [Member name removed] told me he wasn't going to have any money to pay for the repairs for a couple months. I told him there wouldn't be a problem with that, he said that he just needed a place to store it so that it wouldn't get towed. We brought the vehicle to me shop and he left it here. I was in contact with [Member name removed] from August when the car was dropped off all the way to December with no problems. After that [Member name removed] and I lost contact and stopped talking and didn't see or hear from him until May. In May I received a phone call from [Member name removed] claiming that we were blocking his phone number which is not true or correct. Later he came into the shop, conveniently just after I had served repossession papers on his vehicle because I hadn't had any contact with him from December 2013 until May. Then he comes in and wants to know a price on getting a motor and stuff installed in his own mind thinking that's going to waive all of the storage fees that I've obviously accrued on this vehicle from December 2013 until July 2014. I gave him a price to replace the motor and transmission on the car telling him also that doing continued work on his vehicle would not waive the previously accrued storage fees. nothing was signed he just came in to get a price for the work. He then proceeded the following week to call me a thief and claims that I broke into his house and stole a bunch of bouncy furniture out of his house and that he wanted me to forgo all the storage fees that were accrued on his vehicle. He claims to have me on video tape stealing from him. [Member name removed] is a liar and a con. He owned a business in this town called [Company name removed]. I'm sure that you are able to research his business and you'll will find numerous complaints about him and find none about me and my business. I take care of people and I treat them right, just as I treated [Member name removed] right. I held on to [Member name removed]'s truck for over a year now and I feel that I am entitled to storage fees on the vehicle. This is a big truck, it's a 91' Suburban and it takes up two parking spaces on my lot. I feel like I have been very fair with Mr. [Member name removed]. When he came down I told him the storage fees and everything on the vehicle came to about $3,500 and that if he wanted to pay me $2,000 of it that I would release the vehicle to him and he could come pick it up. He refused to do this, trying to be a con. That is about the gist of my side of this situation."
