ServiceMaster Clean were great and were prompt and they did a good job, reasonable price. I followed the price that they charged the insurance company, it seemed reasonable, but I don't remember what it was. They were reputable. They did a good work on time. They completed the job within the schedule that they gave me ahead of time.
I recently had a water leak/overflow in my upstairs bathroom. I was downstairs when I heard it, and water was pouring through the downstairs heating/cooling vents onto the floors below. I turned off the water and immediately got on the phone and called ServiceMaster and asked for help! I have known about and used ServiceMaster (owned by the Rice family) here in various homes since the 1960's. I and my extended family have used them for carpet cleaning, but also for smoke and mold remediation and water cleanup and damage. Their employees are very friendly, clean and professional. They have the best "extraction" type of equipment I have seen used by anyone. They go out of their way to do a through job, "spot treat" areas that need it, and protect furniture and furnishings. My flooded upstairs bath ruined my bath floor and ran out into the hall and into my walls and down through the vent into the bath below and the kitchen ceiling. It was a huge mess. They had teams of trucks out here within am hour or so with the right fans, commercial sized dehumidifiers and men to take up flooring, woodwork, remove drywall and ceiling, etc. It was messy, but they put plastic all over to protect the areas of the house where they were not working from dust and other dirt while the fans and workers were drying things out and tearing ruined things up. I quickly had permission from my major insurance company claims agent to go ahead with anything ServiceMaster needed to do to take care of everything related to the "flooding." They are so well respected and known, the insurance company never questioned anything proposed by ServiceMaster or their "sister" construction company "RMC."
Their "sister company" (RMC), sent out a specialist supervisor the same day of the event who knew how to analyze the damage extent and figure out what needed to be replaced, cleaned, and otherwise replaced or repaired. All in all it's taken about three weeks to complete everything. They matched all the paint, drywall texture and oak woodwork perfectly. The flooring and carpet and carpet pad that needed to be replaced was replaced and re-stretched well. Their carpenters and other work people worked efficiently and well. They had people come in and clean off the rest of the home furnishings and surfaces with damp cloths, since it had some dust on it from all the fans blowing and all the fine dust. All in all the work was excellent and the workmen were friendly and knew how to do their specific jobs very well.
I hope I never have any kind of fire or water problems in my home again. If I do however, I know who to call to help with clean up, and if necessary, as in this case, repair and replacement of damaged areas. At the end of the work the supervisor (who inspected everything daily) walked from room to room and looked at a multi page list of things they did, to be sure I was happy and that it was all completed. I have used other carpet and cleaning people, but I can't imagine using anyone else but ServiceMaster-West by Rice for anything related to carpet, drapery, furniture or other types of cleaning, including removal of water, mold or smoke smells or damage, as well as re-placing or re-building those damaged or destroyed areas. Truly a "five star" company in every way.
