EXCELLENT all the way around. Not the lowest bidder, but we felt it was the best design and the cost was in our budget. We worked primarily with John D'Amico on the design and as project manager. The job came out great, was completed without additional costs or change orders and on projected time schedule. We have worked with many contractors over the years and these guys were the best by far. They took great pride in their work and took the time to work with us on the design and the materials. They helped us select materials as sales reps for certain lines but also helped us select materials over the internet as we like to shop for deals on the web. They came out twice to fix the drywalling to make it perfect and even came back to do it once after a coat of paint was put on in one bathroom as they didn't like the way it looked the first time. Vicki was also a great help in the design process and project management. The cost to complete was very very competitive. There were 2 other companies who bid $20,000 to $30,000 more for job and said it could not be done for less, at least not well. THEY WERE WRONG. Thanks to Sawhaven!

It was a very good experience working with them. They were accommodating. The price was lower than I expected it to be. The people were very nice. They were all very polite and responsive. They called and were even able to come out early for the appointment.

The overall experience for both jobs was that of high quality professional work. The bathroom turned out absolutely beautiful. The punch list service was fantastic, with everything done in a neat and timely manner. I will continue to use this company for my home improvement needs.

Sawhaven Renovations were exceptionally accommodating. If I didn't like something, they were happy to make changes or redo work without any hassle (I am an admitted perfectionist!). The most challenging task was covering up the outdated wallpaper in the old master bathroom to make it look smooth. I made the task even more difficult because I like semi-gloss paint in bathrooms which shows up every imperfection. Despite this, Ralph spent many days and many coats of paint covering the wallpaper. Marvin came in after Ralph and was even more meticulous (and I mean that in a good way). Marvin made the walls and ceiling look great (and showed great patience as I continued to point out this ding and that ding!). The new cabinets in the Master Bathroom were custom made and I asked for Maple as the wood with a stain to match the existing trim. I suggested MinWax "Provincial" stain because this is what was used sucessfully on new trim I had installed by another contractor. I did not realize that this stain would not work as well on Maple as it did on the existing Pine trim. When the cabinets arrived, I did not like the look or texture. Because I had made the request for the specific stain, and these were custom cabinets, I volunteered to pay for them even though I would not use them in the bathroom (I will use them in the basement or future garage). I suggested using pre-made cabinets instead. Sawhaven said that they could match the cabinets to the trim if I let them do it and would not charge me if I did not like the look. As it turned out, Sawhaven made beautiful cabinets that matched the trim and they only charged me cost for them (and would credit me completely if I had them do my kitchen - I am still getting estimates from other companies for comparison). They have now acquired a kitchen remodeling company and offer a wide range of cabinetry choices. The tilework was good on the floor and shoemolding without any lippage (I used porcelain tiles). I am less happy with the tilework on the walls as each tile is not completely flat or even with the other tiles and some of the grout lines do not match up with one another. I am probably the only one who would notice this, however (my perfectionism at work again). I also had the pocket door between the powder room and vanity area of the old Master bathroom replaced because the bottom edge of the door had been chewed up prior to my purchase of the home. The first new door that was installed by Sawhaven was damaged at the top and the locking mechanism did not work. They tried to fix it and then completely replaced it for me when I didn't like it and they also made the lock work correctly. I think that is what I liked best about the company - their willingness to make things the way I wanted. It took longer to get the remodel completed than first estimated because of this, but I appreciate that they cared enough to try to make me happy.

Don (installer) was pleasant and knowledgable about the job. He explained that the insulation on the roof rafters were not effective and should be removed. From this there was some confusion when the job was finished and Don said removing the old insulation was not included in the quote. After a professional conversation with Ray Conway all was confirmed and Don was back out to finish removing the old insulation to complete the job with no extra charge!! This company is TOP NOTCH, they stand behind their work and I would DEFINITELY use them again...they are also VERY multifacited as they do electronics, kitchen & bath renovations, etc.

As I mentioned before, we started off with Sawhaven Renovations by having them complete a number of varied repairs and electrical/plumbing fixture installations. We were so impressed by their punctuality, quality of work, cleanliness, customer service and overall value of the work that was performed that we contracted with them for our larger jobs. We have remodeled a few times over the years and we have never been more impressed with the entire operation from start to finish than with Sawhaven Renovations. The office staff and their on-site project manager were very attentive and extremely conscientious about the entire process, how we were affected and were excellent with their communication with us informing us every step of the way so there were never any surprises. We also felt at ease having them in our home and confident in their abilities. Their attention to detail and cleanliness really made me feel that they respected my home and they would not happy until we were happy which is really a fresh breath of air in their line of work.

The day I called the company they set up an appointment for the next day, in which they came out and looked at the work. I was given a guaranteed price in writing and signed the contract. They did the work and when it was completed, they did a walk through with me to make sure I was satisfied. Then I called the office with a credit card and it was done. The office staff was kind and courteous and very professional. They sent me the contract by email. The handyman was uniformed and friendly. He did excellent work and even did a few extra things for free. I will definitely use and recommend again.
