Renovations

We have just finished our second project with Richard and Chuck. There was never any question about who we would have chosen to undertaken this extensive renovation of the kitchen and laundry room. Before the first nail was hammered we spent valuable time with Richard designing and planning every aspect of the project. This included meeting with potential cabinet makers. The planning phase enabled the project to run smoothly and efficiently. I definitely wanted a beautiful kitchen but my main focus was organization and functionality. His ideas and recommendations were invaluable. The project encompassed relocating walls and a door, new cabinets and island, relocating and installing new appliances, converting from electric to gas, granite countertops, tile backsplashes, refinish hardwood floors. Instead of buying new cabinets for the laundry room, Richard had a great idea of taking the kitchen sink and base cabinets and using them in the laundry room. After they were installed and painted they looked brand new. He installed a new stackable washer and dryer. He then took the rest of the kitchen cabinets and relocated them into the garage for storage. This renovation lasted 2 1/2 months. We had such faith and trust in Richard and Chuck that we felt very comfortable leaving town for the majority of the project. Richard frequently called with updates and e-mailed pictures of the construction progress. Richard and Chuck kept the construction area clean and neat. They were considerate of other areas of the house. They covered all of our furniture with plastic and hung tarps throughout the house to minimize dust in other areas of the house. The subcontractors were professional, polite and performed quality work. Some have been working with Richard for decades. The project was completed on time, within budget and exceeded expectations. My friend says I have the kitchen of the year.
