 + 0 moreThe dealer wanted a lot of money and after talking to J&L they said that 1/2 of the work wasn't necessary. They are both really honest and professional. I would recommend them as a good mechanic and I will never change garages since this visit.
Description of Work: J&L Automotive did a very thorough inspection on my 1999 BMW to see what we needed to fix before we sold it.

 + -1 moreThe owner John is great, so is the rest of the crew. They have been working on my cars for almost five years. John will tell what's wrong with your car, gives advice about, will tell you that after 200,000 miles and he has fixed all there is to fix on it, to start looking for something else. He will look over a car you are planning to buy and tell you what the future holds for the car, the expected repairs, etc. We had a 1988, 1995, 1998 cars repaired there. We drive our cars until we can't drive them anymore. John recommends if you have a GM car needing parts, replace with GM parts. We didn't follow that advice once, and paid for it later. They are fair priced, and will tell you in advance an estimate. If you say I can't go over 500, they work with you; fix what absolutely has to be fixed. If they can't fix it like transmissions, he recommends someone else. Key drop box, nice waiting room with coffee, TV. Call, leave message, either he or his wife, Lori, will call you back.
Description of Work: Have had a catalytic-converter replaced; brakes, shocks, window motors, wiper motors, leaks from oil pans, etc. Oil changes, sensors replaced, emissions inspection. 100,000 mile check ups, and again at 200,000. Air-condition service.
