HAUL MASTERS

Over promised and under delivered! I made a big mistake ordering a dumpster from Haul Masters. I called several weeks ago and requested a 20 yard dumpster for a community clean up, I was uncomfortable leaving my credit card information but I rolled the dice anyway. I called 2 days before the dumpster was to be delivered to confirm my order and was told by Kelsey that we were good to go! I called 3 times on the day of delivery to check status of the dumpster as they were running late. The wrong dumpster showed up about 30mins. late, it was a 10 yard dumpster, not the 20 yard dumpster that I ordered and was quickly billed for! Larry, the driver explained that the 20 yard dumpster had a broken door so he brought the smaller one. He agreed to dump it over the weekend to make up for it but was unreachable when I called/texted on Saturday evening. When I finally spoke with Larry on Sunday night and told him I would be leaving a negative review, he said " go ahead " they were a busy company and my review would not mean anything, this sentiment was also echoed by Kelsey when I spoke with her about the over-billing. They may both be right and then again, they may be wrong. I would not want anyone else to go through this experience without all the facts. The dumpster was picked up on time and I was over- billed for a 20 yard dumpster when a 10 yard dumpster was delivered. Kelsey reluctantly processed a refund for the difference and offered a weak apology. This dumpster was for a long-planned community clean-up and filled up quickly and we had to turn away neighbors. Chris made several promises and broke each one and has yet to apologize. I try to use local/family businesses whenever possible and have never had this magnitude of a service failure! Everything I was supposed to do, I did. Everything Haul Masters was supposed to do, they did not! I will be leaving this review on several platforms. Greg M.

Arrived on time, but would not come pick up. Scheduled the pick up, was told I was on the schedule. No call, no show. Called next morning, promised they would pick up that day. After three days of this I worried I was going to have to find someone else to remove from my driveway. The finally showed up this morning at like 6am, where I look out the window and see them throwing boards into the driveway before driving off. Save yourself the trouble and pick another company.

The company was hired to deliver the dumpster on Friday. They did not deliver it until the following day. The full dumpster was to be picked up on Monday. I did a walk-thru with the tenant on that Monday. They called the owner, Chris, to confirm pick-up and they left for their new home in New Orleans. I placed two calls to Chris and his office staff during Monday and was assured that it would be picked-up by the end of the day, or, the latest, Tuesday morning. I called my tenant and told them I was holding them responsible for the removal of the dumpster and they also placed an urgent call to Chris. Today is Wednesday and the dumpster is still on my property. I was able to speak with Chris early this morning and he told me they were having problems with a truck and that he was sorry. I have been leaving voice mails on his four different phone numbers ALL Day and he has avoided my calls. I finally reached him at 4:00 today because I blocked my outgoing phone number and he had no idea it was me calling. He told me the driver was on Atlanta Road and would be at my house to pick-up the dumpster within the hour. I am going to the property tomorrow and if the dumpster is still there I will be calling Clark Howard and also filing a police report. My tenant feels terribly responsible for hiring this unprofessional, and unreliable company. I am a real estate investor and have multiple rental homes. In the past, I have used dumpster companies many times and have never had this experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They were not thorough. They were slow. He did not want to pick up some other things that I wanted him to pick up. He wanted to charge me $25 extra so I told him to forget it. I would definitely not use them again.

Our guy arrived 10 minutes before schedule, gave estimate and completed the work very quickly and efficiently.

THE PERSON THAT CAME BY DID NOT CALL ME TO SET-UP A TIME UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE HE SHOWED UP. ONCE HE ARRIVED, I WENT OVER WITH HIM WHAT NEEDED TO BE HAULED AWAY - SOME LUMBER AND A PILE OF LOGS, ALL WHICH WERE RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. HE QUOTED ME A PRICE AND THEN I WENT INSIDE TO WRITE THE CHECK. WHEN I CAME BACK OUT, HE HAD ONLY LOADED THE LUMBER AND NOT THE LOGS. HE CLAIMS I DIDN'T EXPLAIN IT TO HIM CORRECTLY, ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE I WAS CLEAR ON WHAT WAS TO BE HAULED AWAY. PLUS, THE LOGS WERE SITTING RIGHT WITH THE LUMBER. HE THEN TOLD ME HE WANTED ANOTHER $100 TO HAUL AWAY THE LOGS, WHICH IN MY OPINION WAS OUTRAGEOUS SINCE IT WAS SUCH A SMALL PILE AND WOULD'VE TAKEN NO MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES TO TOSS INTO HIS TRUCK. I PASSED ON THE LOGS. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT HE WAS A CONTRACTOR, NOT AN EMPLOYEE OF HAUL MASTERS. I HAD TO MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO HIM. I E-MAILED THE MAIN PERSON AT HAUL MASTERS TO COMPLAIN, BUT HE NEVER RESPONDED. THIS WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
