Since 1983 Auto Cool has been the place in North Georgia to go for your car's air conditioning and heater repairs. Why are we faster, better and more affordable than any auto repair shop? What’s so special about Auto Cool? By specializing in specific components of your vehicle, we are able to give you a more accurate diagnosis and quicker repair at a better price. Nima Naderpour was my tech. He called twenty minutes before coming. Arrived on time. Showed me how to maintain my system. Recommended duct cleaning as my filters were very dirty and was extremely professional. Highly recommend him. We used him for 3 systems.

My A/C unit quit on my 2006 Acura and I could easily see a $600-$700 bill in the future to get it fixed. I took it to AutoCool and they diagnosed a faulty relay in about 15 minutes and said they had one in stock and it would be $131 for the relay including installation so I was in and out in about an hour and for only $131. I was a VERY happy camper. These people are great.

Not very well. I got a radiator from them in Nov 2013 and it recently started making noise. The radiator is still covered under warranty and I was told my radiator was leaking. When I dropped my car off for repair is when I was told that the radiator was covered under warranty, but not the labor which was Very confusing. They were unsure about how long it would take to get parts and labor done and I had to cancel an appointment due to their poor time estimate. I think it was poor customer service overall.

I called several places, including a nearby Ford Dealer. The dealer quoted me a price for a Ford supplied radiator at about $900.00; or an aftermarket one for about $700.00. Auto Cool quoted me $288.00 plus antifreeze and tax for an aftermarket radiator. I made an appointment, took the truck in, and left it in the morning; returned about 2-3:00 pm, same day. My truck was ready and with the price as promised. I have not had any leaking or other problems with the parts or labor performed by Auto-Cool. WOW! quality and low price can't be beat.

On the first visit Auto cool checked the car. Was told to come back if air conditioning was still having problems. Would deal with the fees and additional problems at that time. Waited 2 weeks air conditioning was just fine. The second visit went in and they replaced the filter $40.00 that was it. (Autocool did work on the same car approximately 6 years ago and it was a good job too.)

Auto Cool folks fit us in as quickly as possible. After taking his time to really check out all areas of the system - compressor/evaporator / blowers / vents / pressures / etc / etc. he came back and told me that the system was as close to optimal that I could get without spending a lot of money pulling the evaporator - which he did not recommend (since it would not help much, if not at all). I agreed, and he was great in not charging me, saying "I didn't do anything". But, of course, he had helped me out a great deal. So when something really goes wrong with the AC or radiator - I am taking it back to Auto Cool.

"During the extreme hot season we get quite a few customers that just want to know it their A/C system is performing as well as it can. Dropped my car off at noon, received a call an hour later with the cost of repairs. Dropped the car off at 11:30 and it was ready for pick up at 4pm. Used the Angies list coupon to save $16. They honored the coupon even though they said I should have presented it when I dropped the car off. Very professional and efficient operation.

I called yesterday and spoke with Brad explaining my air conditioning had gone out and I did not want to be without a/c for the summer. We scheduled for me to come in today at 8:30a. I had a sandwich next to the shop and within an hour of my arrival he had the problem diagnosed. I agreed to have the work completed which Brad said he could done within an hour. They found a bad cycle switch, replaced it and conducted a test. It worked great! The estimate was spot on. Great bunch of guys! I liked the experience. Pretty cool. The reviews they got on Angie's List were all good and I have to agree. I was very happy! Brad was a good guy. Very polite, courteous and professional. They didn't do anything until I ok'd it. Everything was as it should be. I would recommend them and use them again.

The owner agreed to at least see my car on a busy Saturday (with me calling, then dropping by) to diagnose the problem and suggest a course of action when I came back later in the week.
When I got there, customers in the waiting room raved about the store, the people and the service. One person had moved further away, but always came back for air conditioning or other types of service that are their specialty.
When I came back they did the work and ran a system checklist to be sure it all worked.
Air conditioning can be expensive stuff to fix.
I did need work that cost me a total of $500, but my regular mechanic had quoted me $1,700. I'm glad I got a second opinion.
My regular mechanic is close to my home and all of my standard repairs go there. They are good people, but just don't have the time or specialized knowledge for this sub-system work (the AC repairs). They did diagnose the problem properly, but wanted to replace the entire thing.
In this case, no.
I'm glad I got a second opinion with Auto Cool.
I'd go back.

They're an air condition specialty shop but they're also proficient in diagnosing heating problems. They have an electronic specialist and as far as auto cooling system problems, Auto Cool is the best air condition specialty shop probably anywhere in Metro Atlanta. Price-wise, they beat a dealer anytime. They do a better job in making a total system check than the other shop I know. They have good sources for condensers so customers don't always have to buy one from a dealer. When they get the car in, they do a diagnosis. If it's an expensive deal, they give options on how to fix it. They can readily fix it or if the customer wanted it fixed at a later time, they can temporarily make the system work for a while. If we go on a scheduled time, they get to us right away. In other cases, they'll probably get to their clients within an hour for diagnosis. I see them operate in the summer time and for the small shop they are, I'm impressed. They don't try to mislead in any way. They're upfront and open about their process and the parts that are needed.

My experience was 100% positive with no exceptions. This shop does a ton of things you may not realize they can do and, if it's something they can't do, they will refer you to a place that can. They correctly diagnose the problems and fix it right the first time. They keep you informed at every stage of the diagnosis and repair, leaving no unpleasant surprises or "sticker shock." As stated above, I believe the dealer would charge two to three times as much for exactly the same work, and I'm not sure they would get everything right like Auto Cool did. I will go back to auto cool whenever they can do what my car needs, and I sincerely believe you'll thank yourself if you trust your vehicle to them. I plan to suggest to a friend that he take his 1970s classic cars to them, as they are experienced at servicing such cars and also welcome those vehicles. They are quintessential professionals.

It went wonderfully. I am delighted. First, I looked them up on Angies list and they had the highest rating in the Atlanta Metro Area.
So I phoned them about repairing my heating system and they said just come in and they'll take a look. I brought the car in, they diagnosed the problems, gave me a price, and they fixed it. The next morning the temperature dropped to 20 F but my car was toasty warm.
I was so pleased I went back to them to fix a window raising mechanism which had not operated for years. And they fixed it in a couple of hours.
These people are total mechanics and I plan to use them from now on for everything with my cars and trucks.
I have also recommended them to all my family, friends and co workers
