Doug Raykov Electric

Doug has done many electric projects for our house for many years. He is always dependable and responsible regardless size of project. Doug not just fix our electric issue but also well explain what the problem is, or identify pro and con of potential options based on our project budget if needed. I highly recommend Doug for excellent work quality he has done.

D R Electric has been my go to Electrician for nearly 10 years. Each job has been completed in a timely, efficient manner. Doug's prices have always been fair and reasonable. I will use D R Electric again when I need an Electrician.

After thunderstorm I lost power in part of my house. A friend of mine recommendet me Doug and I called him. He spent the weekend to find the issue and fixed everything very professionally. His charge was very reasonable and below of what i expected. I am planning to cal him very soon again for changing some of my interior lighting, ceiling fans and outdoor lightings + patio fans. Overall I strongly recommend his services if needed.

Doug (Drago) did and outstanding job. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He did a full planning, preparation, consultation and installation of a sub-panel, 3 way wiring for lights, scone lights, fan, kitchen appliance etc. in a basement and a garage project that became an "in-law-suite". The precision he works with and the detail oriented skills are second to none. There was not a single request of mine that he was not able to fulfill or would argue about not doing it. In fact, he went above and beyond to also advise me what works and what not considering the project and we added more features to some areas of the project because of him. Very, very happy and I cannot recommend him enough. Keep in mind, this is a highly educated, trained, and skilled electrician. You are not hiring a self-taught Joe that will "slap" things together. He knows what he is doing. Please don't hesitate to call him.

Doug is licensed appropriately as a master electrician. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, unobtrusive, thorough, very tidy, had all the necessary supplies and equipment, was unrelenting in troubleshooting efforts, and did everything on our list to perfection. He was very diligent and courteous about letting us know when he had to turn off power to various parts of the house, so as not to interrupt our work and activities. He worked around some other contractors, showing great flexibility while remaining industrious. His charges for the work done was very fair and reasonable. We wish we had known about Doug a long time ago, and now we are moving out of state...otherwise we would definitely use Doug again and again for any electrical needs.

Doorbell chime was unattached and not working when we moved in. We had used Doug before. He's great. He fixed it quickly.
The garage door has given me problems before. This time it was due to something with one of the parts of the motor. Doug was able to quickly identify problem, quote the repair and then knock out the job quickly and effectively.
This guy continues to be our go-to Electrical guy.

The Long Story: Found Doug on Craigslist. I actually called several (about 7) electricians and waited for the calls to be returned. Some of the electricians' customer service skills really turned me off...and the others' lack of motivation to do the work obviously shot themselves down. Doug called back quickly and listened to the things I needed done and scheduled a date/time to come out. He showed up on time and had a great looking dually truck (a truck with a set of two tires on both rear sides) and his company name of the sides of his truck. Even though he hadn't done any work yet, I immediately got the impression immediately that this was a legit electrician. Doug was extremely polite and nice. He listened to me and my wife's problems with the house we just moved into. He told us what work was to be expected and he had to come back about 3 times total because of the horrible wiring done by the builder. One by one, he tackled each problem and fixed it --- even the wobbly fan/lights in some of the rooms were straightened so that they no longer made noise when turned on. One area that really impressed me was when he got a three way switch to work --- it was a set of switches that another electrician from Meer Electric ( his name was Lalo) said couldn't be done. In fact that electrician had cut power to one of the switches which caused a HUGE inconvenience. Doug fixed that. We did have issues with some of the wireless remotes that controlled the fans. This was a common problem I heard. Called Doug and he came out and fixed the next day -- no charge for that.
Overall, excellent quality work done at a good pace and great price.
