He was the closest technician for me to use and I liked that he made house calls. He gave very prompt service and scheduling was very quick. He was out within 24 hours of me contacting him. There were no draw backs and he offered educational knowledge on my TV as well.

I contacted Mally by phone and he gave me an approximate time of arrival. During the conversation, I detailed what was happening to my TV. Mally said he had a few ideas as to the source of the problem and he would get to me as soon as possible.
Mally arrived on time.
I again described the problem to Mally and he said he'd seen a few of these in his past experience. After helping him put this huge TV on the floor (it's not a one-man job, believe me!), Mally opened the chassis and began testing components. At the same time, he sent me to a repair website, and several entries sounded very similar to my problem. This helped him narrow the solution down pretty quickly.
Luckily, from my description over the phone, Mally had brought the correct component with him. He still had a job to do, in reaching the component, removing it, and installing the new one. He worked and sweated for approximately an hour and a half while talking to me pleasantly.
He noticed that my son played soccer from pictures in my den, and we talked pleasantly, while he worked. He's from England where he also played soccer. Like my son, he was good enough to consider going pro. The time went fast, as we talked about soccer episodes from his past, as well as my son's experiences during his high school, club, and college soccer.
He finished up, and presented me with my bill. I was pleased that the cost was appropriate to me after witnessing his hard labor and expertise.
I don't know if you can enjoy a repair experience, but this one was as pleasant a one as I'll probably ever have.
I highly recommend Mally for his expertise, knowledge, and attitude.

We have an 8 year old 36" Sony CRT TV. The power would not always come on when we used either the remote or the front panel button. Since the unit weighs 230# it was not feasible to bring it to a repair shop. We called a number of shops and described the problem. None could diagnose it over the phone except Mally of Sound and Vision. He said he recognized the problem and moreover had the repair part (chip) to fix it. He gave us a flat rate price of $250. After considering whether to repair this unit or buy a new TV we decided to get it repaired. We called Mally and he came the next day. To do the repair it was necessary to unplug all the wires from the TV, turn the unit around, take off the back cover, remove a circuit board, unsolder the failed chip, solder in the new chip, then put everything back together. Since he didn't have enough time that day to complete the task, we had him come another day when we would be home and he was available. He came and completed the repair and helped us get everything turned around and plugged in again. We are pleased that the TV is working fine now and we don't have to get a new one which in any case wouldn't be a direct replacement. Whenever we do get a new TV we will have a working old one to trade in or sell or give away separately.
