Everyone that I have talked about them with say you can not find a better plumber The job will not be repeated. The work is done on time and right the first time. There is never a reason to be called back and if you do there is no charge. They went out to the truck to get the new water heater, the heater was damaged. He asked if we would mind if he bought a new heater. He was going to go get a new heater from the factory and not charge us additional money for the swap out of the heaters.

I called them on a Thursday and they sent someone the next day. I had informed them that, to avoid comings and goings, the job may be performed if the cost is under 500.00USD. So, they had to replace the toilet tank kit, cut the wall in the bathroom. We are now going to ask MR.HANDYMAN to take care of the patching and painting. This company is charging 79.00USD for estimate, but deduct them from the final invoice if they do the job. What I think is very correct.

This just an update to the original review. I did not notice that this was left open based on comments from company. I cannot legally disclose the amount of money but I can disclose that the Atlanta Better Business Bureau settled this is issue in my favor.

I had been contacted by the water authority that I had a leak at my house (40-50 gallons an hour).  I contacted Fitzgerald & Sons to have them come out and find/repair the leak.  They arrived on time, but after an hour or so, they said that they couldn't find where the leak was coming from, so they suggested replacing the entire water line from the meter to the house for $1,700.  I refused that service and called the water authority to have them send someone to check the water meter.  Within minutes of walking the water line, this guy found where the water was bubbling up from the ground.  I called Fitzgerald back to asked them to return and repair the leak.  They wanted to charge me the overtime rate to return and repair something that they should have easily caught that morning!  After arguing over the rate, they agreed to send someone back out at no extra charge but the repair wouldn't be guaranteed under warranty.  This man came and left in under an hour.  The leak stopped, but not for long.  In less than a month, the repair broke and now water was leaking at 1,500 gallons an hour!  I called Fitzgerald once again and was RUDELY reminded that the repair was not covered under warranty.  I then called another plumber who came out an informed me that the repair was not completed in the proper way.  I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and lack of professionalism that was received from the company.  I will not be using them again.

Jimmy was very professional and knowledgeable and made time to answer all questions . He was on time very neat and cleaned up all work . I checked prices from other reviews and the water heater-Rheem and PRV were not overpriced .

They did good. I was expecting something different. I had other tankless heaters in a different home, and I was surprise they were doing it outdoors. But they did good. They were very efficient and professional.

They sent out a guy who replaced a part. He was nice, but it didn't fix the problem. The toilet still honks loud and low, echoing throughout the house, waking people up. It makes me mad every time I hear it. $325.00 totally gone and I got nothing for it. They want me to pay them another $160 bucks to come back out and try something else. I called them and told them that I feel taken advantage of. They didn't really care. Terrible customer service. They didn't get back to me when I called the first time, so I had to track them down.

They were superb! They showed up on time and professional. They were very friendly. The explained the issue, how much it would cost for just the quote, and how much it would cost to fix. They were very diligent in fixing the repair. I would definitely recommend them and I will definitely use them again.

They were there on only an hours' notice in an emergency situation and fixed the problem at a very reasonable price.

Late afternoon we discovered we had no hot water and our hot water heater was spewing water. We were preparing to leave the next morning to go out of town and wanted to to get help quickly but had no regular plumber. We were not a past customer but called Fitzgerald based on their reputation and hoping they could put us on the schedule asap. Instead they arrived in an hour, removed the old water heater and replaced it with a comparable water heater within a few hours. They were efficient,  professional and completed the work faster than we could have hoped. We would use Fitzgerald again for our plumbing needs.
I cannot judge the price well. Because it was an emergency situation I could not compare prices. The price above includes an after-hours fee of approx. $265.

They were there in just a few hours from my call.  Had it fixed in no time. Prepared the bill and was ready to leave.  Asked him to look at a sink faucet that was causing problems.  He fixed that too and he didn't up the bill.  I thought that was really nice of him.  He could have tacked on the sink repair and I wouldn't have questioned it.  I used this firm last year also and they were extremely helpful during a real emergency.  My line broke at the water meter on a Friday night.  The city came and turned it off for me and  Fitzgerald came the next morning first thing.  They had it fixed very quickly and the fee was way lower than I expected.  They are very nice and don't try to exploit you.

When he arrived, I explained to my service technician (Andy Davey) that I had a water leak from my shower and I showed him where it seemed to come from. I have a service panel behind the shower valve which makes the job of checking things out a lot better, but I explained to Andy that I dreaded the idea of his having to cut a hole in the sheetrock at the level of the showerhead, in large part because I didn't have any more matching wallpaper to fix things up afterwards.
After examining the situation, Andy told me he thought he might be able to avoid messing up the wall by working through the existing hole from the shower side where the connector juts out of the wall. He explained he might have to expand the hole a little bit and might be able to cover it up with a slightly bigger escutcheon. And that's exactly what he did. I am sure it helped that I have CPVC pipes and easy access to the shower valve from behind.
Andy was patient in listening to me, helpful with his suggestions and instructions, and very courteous.
Along the way I learned that plumbers (at least some of them) often use a book which shows time allowances for various tasks when they come up with an up-front price for the customer. (Car mechanics do that. These time allowances can be generous.) In my case I informed Andy at the beginning that I was prepared to wait until the end of the job to get the price, and it seems that the book didn't quite cover what my job involved anyway. I had been told ahead of time FitzGerald and Sons charges $72 for the service call when the client decides against getting the job done at the price quoted, and I thought that was fair. I was essentially charged for 1.75 hours at $150 per hour, plus about $20 for supplies, less a 5% Angie's discount. Considering the results I consider the charge was reasonable.
