Description of Work: We have a large slope which leads down to a creek, which we could not see at all because it was so overgrown. They cleared it in two days and put down pine straw. (There was extra pine straw, so they added some all around the house for no extra charge.) It looks amazing! I would highly recommend their services.

Description of Work: Cleared .75 acres of overgrown weeds, sapling trees. Cleaned chain link fence of all weeds and saplings. Removed junk. Removed busted up concrete. Pruned the vegetation that was remaining. And more. | |The crew showed up when promised. They worked very hard. They finished quickly. They even did a few extra items not part of the original quote. | |There are parts of the back edge of the property where I have not been able to walk in about 10 years. It was extremely overgrown. It is clean and open to access again.

Description of Work: We had English Ivy and wisteria that had taken over most of everything. All of that was cleared away, along with miscellaneous trees and brush. I was amazed at how quick, thorough and NEAT their work was. While it was pricey, it was well worth the investment in our home. There is nobody around who could do a comparable job.

Description of Work: Evaluated our work request. He was very helpful giving recs that we would need bobcat to clear our yard and his company did not use one so we appreciated the honest advice.

Description of Work: Frank and his crew cleaned tons of overgrown ivy, brush and wisteria from our back hill and side yard. The difference is overwhelming and the completed the work in two days! By far the best contractor that I've ever hired to do anything. Truly a very professional team. We plan to use the Overgrown Backyards annually to maintain the work the performed this year.

Description of Work: Front yard: Leaf cleanup and removal, bushes trimmed, privet removed, drive way and road cleaned up, and general cleanup. | |Backyard: Bushes trimmed, privet removed, flower beds cleaned out, cleaned up garden area, trimmed one small tree off the house and the shed, and general cleanup. | |Frank was great. When we discussed the estimate, he was willing to work with me on pricing and payment. He brought 2 workers and a large dumpster on the scheduled day, working all day. The difference was was like night and day, and everything was all cleaned up. The price is on the more expensive end of the scale, but for the amount and quality of work they do, it was well worth it! I would recommend Overgrown Backyards in a heartbeat.

Description of Work: I called on Overgrown Backyards to clean out several flower beds (including weed removal by hand) in my front yard and to deliver and install new mulch. Frank Thurston, the owner, was very professional and courteous. He responded quickly when I contacted him for a cost estimate and once the job was scheduled, he and his co-worker arrived promptly, did the work, and the finished project looked great.

Description of Work: Frank and his team completely cleaned, cleared vines, ivy out of my back property. The area was completely overtaken with ivy, vines. Now is it immaculately clear. The area looks great; I'm so pleased. |They were on time, actually early, professional and did a great job, even cleaned off my back patio.

Description of Work: Frank and his crew managed to get my *very* overgrown back yard cleared and mowed, and pulled up lots of weeds from among my shrubs and perennials in the side and front garden areas. It was a hot day, and they worked for hours. I am very pleased with the work, and Frank even threw in a couple of extra tasks (at no additional charge)! |I will use Overgrown Backyards again, and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: The owner met me at my recently purchased home. He recognized that this was once a well kept yard and wondered if I wished to return it to such condition. We spoke as we walked through the yard. He offered some sound suggestions - some which demonstrated a wealth of experience in this type of work. He offered a price and gave me a time he could start. On that day it was raining so I expected a call to re-schedule. When he did call that day it was not to re-schedule, but to clarify a detail in the work. |When I got home I discovered what has become a "norm" with "my Angie's list" choices - they had completed extra work. Frank, the owner, said to me he did the extra because it seemed the yard needed it to be complete. And he was correct. The yard is now beautiful again. Great work!

Description of Work: Frank and his team were fantastic! I had them come over to remove approximately 15 large bushes and backfill thr area with soil. They showed up on time, went straight to work, and finished well ahead of schedule. Frank was extremely responsive and didn't charge me more than what he quoted me for. He and his team were very professional and extremely nice; even as my daughter watched them work and asked questions. I would highly recommend Frank and his team. The work they did exceeded my expectations. Thank you Frank. I'll be calling you again in the fall for more work! Jacqueline

Description of Work: They trimmed bushes and removed weeds as well as laying pine straw in our bedded areas. They raked the leaves off of the grass and removed the twigs that had fallen to the ground. Frank was very professional and prompt. He gave me an estimated start date after a free estimate of work to be done. Since this was an outdoor job, it was delayed due to the weather, but he came on the first nice day after the rainy freezing weather. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

Description of Work: I called and left a message, he responded two days later to setup an appointment for the same, or next day (fri or sat). I stated Friday would be best, but tomorrow (Saturday) will work. I haven't heard from him since. Its been well over a week.
