I was referred to MayDay by my neighbor. She and her husband were very pleased with their work as well. They showed up promptly to do the work. They finished the job about 2 months ago. We haven't heard ANY activity in our attic. We had a family of squirrels living in the attic that we had tried unsuccessfully to get rid of. I saw a squirrel the other day at the exact spot they used to enter the attic. He stayed at the area for about a minute sniffing and looking and then ran off again. They CANNOT get back in!! We are very pleased with the service.

+ -1 moreMayday was prompt to reply, even though I kept delaying the use of my Angie's List coupon for months. Alicia was very accommodating with all the voicemails we traded (due to my unavailability, not theirs), and a pleasure to deal with. Set up an appointment for just a couple of days after finally speaking, and they arrived on time. They were professional and courteous. They sealed up the exterior of the house along the roof's edge, and they set six traps inside the house where there was recent "evidence" (droppings) of rats. No traps got tripped, which implies that the rats either scooted out of the house during the process or they weren't there anymore. Since then (a few months now), we've not had a single sign of critters anywhere in the house, so, job well done, Mayday, and thanks. This is some time after catching 28 (yes twenty-eight) rats ourselves over three months, before calling Mayday. Also good to know that, barring extenuating circumstances (construction on the house or modification to the protection they installed), it's guaranteed for life, and they'll return if needed. Paid a bit more than our Angie's List coupon, since our house is large. No surprise, as that was mentioned in the coupon details re: square footage of the house. I've already recommended them to one friend, and would continue to recommend them to others.

They sealed all holes and crevices around the exterior. They put barriers in the gutters. They inspected the interior and left traps. They explained everything and were professional and courteous. They came back to inspect the traps when scheduled. They will come back if I ever need them again. This service has a life time guarantee. I am very pleased with MayDay Wildlife Services.

There was a crew of men who crawled under the porches, and in crawl space under the house to seal up any holes or vulnerable places around the outside, the roof underside, inside and in the attic. I felt very secure. Definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: In January 2013 May Day was called back to inspect the job the roofers had done in respect to putting back in place the technique used to insure no squirrels could get into the house. Our initial job had been done in previous year. There was a 3 year guarantee with their service. We hired them to inspect and close any entry points in our whole house. We had heard noises thought to be am animal or large RAT. I am sooo frightened of rodents I was sick. May Day let us take our house back by feeling secure and safe. I love that Company. Anytime I thought Something might have gotten in, they came back set traps and checked on them weekly. Some of the best money we ever spent.

Description of Work: Had bad case of squirrels in my attic. They had taken up living in my attic and having babies. MayDay came in and assessed the problem. The people at MayDay know what they are doing and they do it very well. The MayDay exterminators are very respectful of you and of your house and there is not a spec of trash left anywhere when they are done. I am very pleased that I hired this company.
Description of Work: MayDay Wildlife Services was offering a special on their whole house rodent extermination service that covers our house forever. We live near a creek and several of our neighbors have had rodent problems. They (the rodents) finally made it to our house and it was time to call in the specialists! MayDay explained, in detail, over the telephone the service they would be performing for us and the guarantee. Two MayDay exterminators came out to our house and totally inspected our house to find the areas that the rodents could enter our house. The exterminators then explained what they found. Then they started the work to close the rodent entry areas. The areas they fixed included putting small wire mesh behind every basement crawl space vent, sealing or covering every hole or vent with caulk, metal strips or wire mesh according to the opening. They both worked very hard for several hours. We were told that it is a bit more time consuming for older houses, but they were not complaining, only explaining why it was taking them so long to finish. Then they set traps in our attic and basement crawl space. Ater that initial day someone came back once a week to check the traps until the traps were no longer catching any critters. About 6 months after their service we saw droppings from a rodent. We called MayDay and an exterminator came out that same day. He immediately inspected our house and found a missed entry point on the roof ridge line and remedied that. He continued to look for other entry points and could not find any. He set traps as before. He came back in a few days and the rodent was caught.

The owner came out promptly and performed a thorough inspection of the entire house, attic and basement. He took many pictures of potential entry points, and explained the exclusion process to me in detail. He was very knowledgeable and professional and gave me a strong sense of confidence that he knew what he was doing. I hired them to do a full house exclusion, including weekly re-inspections until it was evident that the problem had been eliminated. When the crew arrived, I was pleased to see that they were equally professional and knowledgeable. Two men spent most of a day and wasted no time doing their work. They explained everything that they were doing to me and answered all my questions. They ran out of daylight and had to return to finish up the work a couple of days later. Since they spent much time on the roof, they even cleaned out my gutters without being asked and at no additional charge. The work was not inexpensive, but this was clearly a case of getting what you pay for. I couldn't be more pleased with their work and the caliber of their people. I am accustomed to having trades people who require much prodding and follow-up to ensure the work gets done properly. That was not the case with this company. They take pride in their work and in building lasting customer relationships. I recommend them with highest praise.

+ -1 moreVery well The man came out and evaluated the situation, removed decaying animals and then spent the day closing holes, placing wire over any openings that couldn't be sealed or may have openings in the future etc.
Description of Work: They came out and placed traps, removed critters and sealed all holes that might be entries for any animals again. We have been totally satisfied with the work and the results. They also placed a lifetime warranty on results. They gave advice on doing things that would discourage animals from coming back.

+ 0 moreOn the appointment date 6 guys came out and did an overall inspection, removed pests, sealed and gaps/holes in the house, put sealing flashing on the roof and laid traps for any future critters. For the next month they called weekly to see if any traps tripped. with the package I purchased I have lifetime service. I hope I don't have to contact them again, but now the house is sealed and I'm not worried about pests.

+ -1 moreMayday came out on schedule and inspected and sealed our home against pests. They told us we had rats,but that was not the case. We had a chipmunk making its home in our bedroom wall and they sealed the entrance which solved the problem. Mayday set traps and came back to inspect on a regular basis for several weeks, and then on request. We did end up trapping 2 field mice. Mayday came back and set different traps. They are very responsive to requests for follow up work. A few months after their initial visit we had our roof replaced (by a company on Angie's List). We asked Mayday to come out and make sure that the house was still sealed at the roof line. They came out, inspected and resealed a few areas. Good response. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Mayday inspected and sealed the exterior of our home. We had a chipmunk making its home in our bedroom wall. They sealed that up and problem gone. They provided follow up house inspections as scheduled and a few unscheduled calls at our request.

It didn't take them but a few seconds to point out something I hadn't noticed -- I had rats too. They also showed me entry points where previous owners of my home had attempted to block out squirrels and explained why their work had failed. I purchased their "full exclusion" service, which involves flashing behind all the gutters strong enough to resist animals, and plugging all possible entry points all the way around the house. The animals are gone now and I am much relieved. The squirrels have moved into my next-door neighbor's house.

They then baited and set several rat traps in all attic spaces, in the utility room (accessible from my garage) and in the crawl space beneath the house. Then, they returned to the house each week for the next 3-4 weeks, collecting trapped rodents and disposing of them. They completed the process when the representative collected only one remaining rodent. They then left a few traps set throughout the attic. There have been no further problems since then. I was very satisfied with the results, and I would recommend this company for this type of service.
Description of Work: The process involved sealing up the entry spaces into the attic and crawl space. Then they set traps and removed all rodents until there was no further evidence of rodents in the house.

The job site lead walked around the house with me explaining what they were going to do and how they were going to perform the work. Patiently answered my questions to my satisfaction. This was the same for both services. Upon completion of the work, the job site lead walk around the house, described what they had performed, pointed out concerns he had for items that should be addressed by another professional. In this case today it was a roofing issue; dry rot of the decking in several places. Nothing they could do but the information was appreciated. the work performed was of very good quality. The yard was free of construction debris and the gardens around where they worked were undamaged.
Description of Work: Mayday provided two different services about three weeks apart. The first service was rodent removal and install barriers to prevent their return. The second service was to put leaf guards on the gutters and repair the gutters as necessary. The rodent removal and barrier installation was performed quickly and professionally. Their clean up was very good. The estimated price was what I paid. No surprises. The second service: gutter caps, was performed today. The quality of their work again, is very good. Also, no surprises between the estimate and the price paid. I have already recommended them to friends who need work performed.
