Description of Work: Run, don't walk away from JMR Painting's special of 1 man for 8 hours at $199. They sent 2 men for 3 1/2 hours which was acceptable. 2 1/2 hours after starting I was informed that they were out of paint. Since it would have taken over an hour to get another gallon, I told them to change to painting the trim. I instructed them to do any trim that wasn't covered by plastic or covered with tape (door knobs, etc). I would finish the building myself and to leave the prepping I already had paid them to do. What they did was spend the remaining hour removing all the prepping and painting a single 9' trim piece, and left (leaving behind the main building paint can with enough paint to cover more area). Deduct the time to place and then remove the prepping, and I was left paying $100/hr. Not a deal at all. They were lazy scammers. Run!!!!

Description of Work: I bought the big deal to have my master bath ceiling and walls painted. At first they were ready to set a date without seeing my bath, but I told them I needed them to see what they were getting into, as I was having spots on my ceiling that had already been painted over and were still coming back. Bry came out for the estimate and was quite knowledgeable. I knew I would have to pay extra and his quote was fair. They set me up for the date I wanted which was about 4 weeks away. I bought the oil based primer Bry told me to get, but apparently he didn't discuss with anyone that it had to be put on and set for 24 hours prior to painting. When I called about that Aydeen set me up for the next day to have that done, so when the painters came 4 days later all would be well. They were supposed to clean the spots off, but they didn't do a very good job, however the spots were covered well with the primer (which are now still coming back). | |I bought the better paint recommended by Sherwin-Wms. that would prevent mildew, etc. The first set of painters only put one coat on the walls, even though Bry told me it would take two. It was a bad job, with the previous beige walls showing through the new teal paint at various places. The worst part was the uneven joining of the white ceiling paint and the teal wall paint. It looked like rolling hills of teal and white. When I complained to the guys, one of them took caulk and put it around to make the edging even. This looked stupid since the caulk color didn't match the ceiling. I had them come back to put the second coat on the walls and to fix a large "patch" on the ceiling, and to cover up the caulk. A different set of painters came and I guess they did the best they could. But because the ceiling patch was so large they repainted the ceiling. The next day I noticed roller strokes on 1/2 of the ceiling. I didn't call to have them fix. I was tired of dealing with them. Everyone was quite nice and accommodating, the painters just weren't very professional.

Description of Work: Super duo, very professional, neat, came prepared with own tools & ladders. No drips, no mess- they took paint brushes/rollers w/them to clean elsewhere!

Description of Work: Painted two areas of our basement. Oscar showed up right on time and worked all through the day. We're refinishing part of our basement, so we had him paint fresh white paint over some very old white paint on the walls. He also painted new built-in bookshelves, cabinets, a door, and the chair rail. He did a great job, and I would absolutely use this company again.

Description of Work: They painted my rental townhouse. My tenant had health problems and I had to cancel and reschedule several times. The company was very helpful. I will use them again if the price is right.

Description of Work: Painted several rooms. Poor comunication as did not expect 4 painters for one day's work. They did fair job painting. They did not prepare the walls as expected. Spots had to be touched up. I expected better quality of work.
