Went well. They have painted most of our house over the years, both inside and out

We only learned of John Early painting through Patchmaster Drywall company as "their" goto painter. John Earley provided a quote for painting on 10-31-13. On 11-21-13 we connected via phone and he said his painters could be out the following week (Thanksgiving week). No further communication from John. I left a VM on 11-24-13 asking if he was going to be coming out as we spoke about. Again on 11-26 I called and left another message asking when his guys would be out. John returned my second voice mail on 11-26 stating his team could paint our house on Thanksgiving. I refused this date because that is absurd. He then offered that his team would come the following Monday 12-2-13 and I agreed to this date. Thought all was going well at this point. Sunday 12-1-13 John called and left a voice mail on my cell phone "confirming" we were on for Monday (w**, we were already confirmed). I didn't pick up on this voice mail until the morning of 12-2 (the day they were to arrive). I promptly returned a call to John as soon as I heard his voice mail. John was RUDE, pointed fingers that I SHOULD HAVE CALLED HIM BACK and that he has now cancelled my project. Actually in his words "You're project is on the back burner" just before hanging up on me. I was curious if he'd ever call back but over 48 hours have passed so I can assume that I'm probably better off for having learned that John is a horses a$$ BEFORE I had him and his mexican day laborers in my house. If I could rate negative stars for performance and attitude that is what I would have rated John Earley but I guess an "F" will have to suffice. The way this guy talks to customer is out of control.

We were very pleased with their work. John helped us find the right paint color and advised us about the most appropriate paint to purchase (not the most expensive). He also asked his team to touch up a wall where he had noticed some scuff marks. We had been thinking about asking them to paint adjoining rooms for continuity, but he also suggested that the paint color would be so close that painting the others wouldn't be necessary. We appreciated his honesty! The team was very courteous and conscientious of our young son. We will use them for any future painting we do.
