NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! My entire family used this company for awhile but since have all had to ask them to never come to our properties again. When we first started we asked if they could run our card on the day of service. After awhile they wouldn't run our card. We had to continuously call the office and speak to the office manager Jody Allan to run our payment. She wouldn't run our payment and wait until we had months of service stack up. We dont have a ton of money so to have them try and make us pay months of service in one payment is difficult on us versus breaking it up. After trying to come up with the large lump sum they tried to charge us interest and put a loan on our property. When finally getting the money I mentioned to Jody that we no longer wanted service because of the billing issues. I have never met anyone more rude in my life as this lady. She told us that they just couldn't accommodate our billing schedule we needed. I dont know what company refuses immediate payment but they apparently cannot accommodate this. Upon asking if they can email and mail a receipt she told me "Ms Evan's we have spent too much time on this you need to pick one." When asking if their system allowed them to do both she responded again with "just pick one" upon asking for further clarification because I would like both she said that she would only do one because she had spent to much time "dealing with me" and she refused to send me one. My family had the same issues with Ms Jody Allan and has also requested an immediate stop in service. I would suggest never to use them unless that representative is fired or quits.

Contact stated that they would trap for 2 weeks and check traps every 3 days. We had to call them out when we found rats in the traps and they took the traps after only a week because they had caught 7 and said that's probably all there were. Then it took 2 weeks to get them back out when we told them we still had rats. Then, I called to inform Russ of a rat in a trap and he told me to bag it and put it outside because he didn't have time to come get it for two days and it would start to small from decomposing. If I wanted to do this myself, I would've saved a whole lot of money. Now, he's ignoring calls from my husband altogether and will sometimes reply to my calls. 1/29/2020 This is an update from a previous review. After horrible experiences with 2 different wildlife specialists and after multiple complaints, the managers stepped in and had one of the exterminators start coming instead. Rebecca has been amazing! She comes when we call her and is so sweet and professional. So while I probably wouldn't hire them again for rodent control, I would hire again for pest control. Their pest control workers are extremely knowledgeable and very professional. Hopefully, one day they'll find the same quality for wildlife removal.

We are on quarterly service. It is $77 aquarter. We just don't have an issue because they do a good job. They are A across the board. We have been using them for 20 years.

I signed up for service and hired them. Jesse patiently discussed all the available options, the pros and cons of each, and the various experiences he had. He was knowledgeable and competent without being pushy. I have already done a lot of research, including to talking to Termite scientists at UGA, and everything Jesse said was completely accurate, and not at all embellished to sell a product. MOST IMPORTANTLY; he told me things the other company never did. The system had previously been installed, and so I was registered with Dow chemical, and so I was able to more cheaply sign up than installing fresh. The other company neglected to mention that, goosing their profits at my expense.
Description of Work
I asked Dixie to come out for a second opinion on another Sentricon company, as well as to get their apprasial of a liquid pesticide treatment. Jesse Beechum came out, was very accommodating to my schedule, and incredibly professional. I signed them up and went with the Sentricon system

Jess comes and inspects the monitoring systems yearly. He always shows up on time, is professional and courteous. When first installing the system he worked with me on the placement of each station as to not disturb my existing gardening. Jess is super nice and I would recommend Dixie exterminators to anyone.

I would suggest you steer clear. When you have problems with a service, and senior management and even the owner do not return calls when you try and correct issues, you will not be successful. We struggled throughout with having them contact them in advance of visits so we could leave our back gate unlocked. We had more than a few return visits. On the first treatment of this past season, they called us with three days to go in the last week, and told us they needed to come the next day or we would miss the service. We were out of town, and sure enough, they skipped us. Though someone in the office assured us we would be treated, that did not happen. No surprise when our front bushes got attached by bugs, and had holes in the leaves. My back bushes are totally diseased, and leaves are falling from the bushes in bucket loads. I reached out to the VP of Operations. No return call for 3 days, She did finally return that call, but when I called back, I never got a return call from her until I reached out and attempted to call the owner. I was not pleased with her response, and left 3 messages for the owner. He did not return one of those calls. There are many other services out there; several that my neighbors are quite happy with. Shop around Update: I would disagree with their assessment that services were provided as scheduled. If you review the comments, note that they did not address at all the lack of responsiveness of their senior leadership and owner. I really wanted to make this work out. Only when I encountered the lack of response and I don't care attitude did I cancel service. That is where the rubber meets the road. Things may not always go smoothly, but when providers will not return calls to fix issues, its time to move on. Note also that they never contacted me with the offer to submit my foliage for analysis.

Service Provider Response

Service for this customer was rendered within proscribed time frames for every Tree and Shrub care/Lawn Care service since 2009, provided there was access to the entire property. The last Tree and Shrub service was executed on 8 May 2014, and included both a fertilizer and liquid insect control. Instructions for this particular account specified the technician calling the customer for (locked) gate access to the back yard prior to each service. Dixie Green had made many attempts over the years to keep this account on a regular schedule, often difficult since the customer was traveling often. Without direct contact with the customer, service to the back yard could not be rendered per the account instructions. In those cases, the customer was notified-and never charged for any services not completed. Dixie Green has performed the same treatments, during the same time frame, for all of our Tree and Shrub service customers without any complaints. These applications are tailored for current temperature conditions and rainfall amounts, with appropriate emphasis on the trees and shrubs indigenous to Georgia. The Company goal is always to offer the most comprehensive treatment, using effective products recommended by horticultural industry professionals. The customer has since cancelled his service. Dixie Green is still willing to gather a sample of any problematic foliage, and submit them to local extension agents for analysis and suggestions for any remedial action.

We just bought our house and they were the terminate bond provider, so we thought we would use them for pest control as well. The tech came out, seemed like an old school good ol' boy who really knew his "critters" (as they say out here in the south). He was so personable, and really took to the time to get into every nook and cranny. This house had been left unattended for a long time and there were bugs that I've never seen before (b/c I'm a yankee from the north!). Ever since the tech came out (in Nov) I haven't seen one bug! Yay! I contacted them the other day to set me up on an auto pay on my credit card. They charged me $75/qtr and I feel that this is a very reasonable price. They also provide the termite bond which is at a fair price as well. I like the personal service that I'm getting - it's like they know me when I call and they're so responsive, no matter what method of communication I use (email or voice mail). Good company?really.

Last June/July they came out for a treatment and I asked them to do something about some weeds in certain areas in the lawn. He said no problem. A month later, I had dead grass in all those areas. I understand from speaking with the supervisor that he was new and has since been fired. I asked what they had planned on doing to fix the issue. They offered to aerate and seed this fall. I tried many time to speak to the manager about a different solution and never did get to speak to her. They have aerated and seeded before and I did not have very good results. So I wanted them to repair these areas with sod. They refused. The best resolution I could manage was one years free maintenance. I had to spend about 2000.00 to get the sod installed at my own expense.

They have maintained my 25,000 sq.ft. lawn with fertilizers etc. for a few years now. I get about 7 or 8 treatments per year. Service has been good. And overall they have kept the weeds down and the lawn looking pretty good. Until they made an error. My rating would have been better if they had offered a better solution to the lawn damage they caused.

Service Provider Response

In response to this member, please note that our Dixie Green, LLC division had offered, what we felt, was a more than satisfactory solution to repair the damaged lawn sections. All repairs would be completed at NO COST to our customer. Dixie Green, LLC offered to rototill, aerate, and then overseed all damaged lawn sections, under direct supervision to ensure high quality results. Dixie Green, LLC had actually aerated and overseeded this customer's lawn in 2010, and was not made aware of any unsatisfactory results from that work. The repair offer was initially accepted by our customer, during a phone conversation on September 11, 2013. The customer then changed his mind, and requested that Dixie Green offer the equivalent of 2.5 years of free service; this while the customer would pay for re-sodding the damaged sections at his expense. Dixie Green, LLC felt this proposal to be excessive, and stood by our original offer. After further correspondence with our customer, we came to a mutual agreement, whereby we would provide one years free service to our customer.

A Representative came to my home to give an estimate (which he did) however; drove his pick-up truck right onto a brand new dyed stamped concrete walk way and damaged (completely cracked) it. Our question is: why on earth did he need to drive up onto our sidewalk... that is why we have a drive way!. Damages are in excess of $1200.00 and the company REFUSES to take care of the problem by ignoring my phone calls, faxes and emails. The repair estimate (as they requested to have) was emailed to them but again they ignore it. THEY REFUSE TO LET ME TALK TO THE OWNER and REFUSE to release the name of the owner or responsible manager. All I get is some woman with a huge chip on her shoulder and keeps telling me that they will discuss it in their "Manager's Meeting" which nothing ever prevails and NO ONE from that company ever responds or calls my husband or myself. It's now nearly 6 months + that we have been dealing with this. We will provide them some time (not much) to respond after this posting however; we expect that they pay us for the damages so we can move on with our lives. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!

I would have rated this higher but the person assigned to the job got the flu and they had no real back up. Had a long period of wait time between first and second visit. The technician was outstanding and very knowledgeable. Was disappointed they didnt honor the 10% for the Angies list coupon but said this service didnt apply. Would have been nice to save the $48.

They are always on time, and so far, I don't have any bugs and pests! They provide pest control, lawn fertilization and maintenance and termite control for us. We have had a very good experience with Dixie Green and will continue to use them in the future because we are in contract with them.

The aeration scheduling was difficult and rescheduled multiple times. The technician did not show during the scheduled time (9 - 12pm) nor did he call. I tracked him down to learn that he must arrive at another time. Payment was due at the time of service so I needed to be home to give a check. The technician arrived late tired and defensive. It was a difficult conversation and experience all around. The lawn was aerated and reseeded.

I am a monthly client for at least 18 months. I have had trouble reaching a live person on the phone and scheduling aeration services .

If I have interior problems I call them and they take care of that, too. I like their professionalism and responsiveness. I use them for pest control because I use them for termites, and I definitely like them for the termite side. I will continue to use them.
