Wonderful! Hugh was great! He explained all he was doing and why, gave me tips to keep our garage door in the best shape (it is 12 years old), and replaced our not functioning keypad all within an hour! He was knowledgeable and very courteous. He gave me a call that morning and told me he would arrive close to the end of my three-hour window and then called again when he was going to be later than that. The ONLY reason I gave a "B" for punctuality is because he arrived around 5pm and the given window of time over the phone (by a different person) was 12-3pm. I do not think it was Hugh's timing, but maybe the amount of appointments he was expected to do in one day -- not something he said to me, but it makes sense.

The work was done with a full understanding of what needed to be done. It was also done in a timely manner.

Service guy inspected garage door. He found that it was out of alignment; checked all parts, lubricated, installed keypad. Very professional, explained everything he did and found, gave us tips on garage door maintenance. A well deserved A.

I used the Angies List coupon. They were very good. They did a very nice job. There was a kind of stickiness to one of the doors and they came back and fixed that without any problem. I was quite happy with them. They were prompt, they were professional and they did everything fine with no issues and did exactly what they said they would.

After I signed up for the "big deal" special (on 03/31/12), I didn't hear from Ga Garage doors. No biggie -- I followed-up with them about a week later to schedule the appointment . They gave me several times slots, and I picked Wed, 04/11/12, 10a-12p. They promised a call 30 minutes before the Technician would arrive. I made special arrangement to work from home that day. After no one called or showed by 12:30, I called them. They said they had me on the schedule for the next day, Thursday. I checked my email, and it clearly stated that we confirmed the appointment for Wednesday at 10am. They could not get someone out that day, so rescheduled for Sat, 04/14. On Saturday, the Technician did call ahead and arrived on time. He was very nice and professional, explained what he was doing, showed me the difference in the roller types, etc. He also spent considerable time trying to get my existing keyless entry pad to work. He made a few calls, but couldn't get it to function. So I opted for a new keyless entry pad, plus another set of rollers for the other garage door ($220 total, including the big deal.) We tested the garage door -- both still made noise and were shaky when opening, but were better than before. He said this was the best that he could do with this 'screw type' of garage door opener. A few days later, the left garage door would bounce loudly, then stop when opening. It didn't happen every time, but essentially it was worse than before. So I called Ga Garange Doors back. They didn't return my call, so I sent them a follow-up email a few days later. They said they would send someone back out on the following Tuesday, 05/01/12. Again, they never showed up and no one ever called back. I checked my email, phone, and text messages. My issue wasn't really with the work. The Technician was good -- and although we had a problem, I'm sure it could be corrected. But they have poor scheduling, communication, and follow-through. Now my one garage door is worse than before. And since they've received payment, they don't seem to be interested in making it right.

The technician was on time and professional looking and acting. He did a brief inspection of our door and then installed the key less entry pad. He also gave us some information on additional work we might have done. He worked very fast and was very knowledgeable and efficient.

They had a special that is how I came to use them. They guy who came out was prompt, did the work and was friendly. I would use them in the future.

I've been in my home for about eight years now and have three garage bays, each with its own opener. I had been wanting to have them serviced for some time now as they were really in need of some TLC. They hit the stops when opened with a shudder and made a loud enough bang and metal-to-metal squeal that it would wake half my neighborhood in the morning. Worse, they went down with such force that they flexed the metal door frame to the point that I honestly thought they might break. Clearly they needed some attention. Still, I kept putting it off. Then a "Big Deal" showed up in my email for Georgia Garage Doors that provided tune-ups for two one car garage doors and installation of an exterior garage door opener. That's all it took. I made the deal and the following Saturday, Georgia Garage Doors showed up as scheduled. A very nice young man introduced himself and went to work immediately. He inspected all THREE (no additional charge) doors and their related suspension systems for problems, briefed me on where problems typically occur, adjusted and lubricated all THREE doors, adjusted all THREE garage door openers, checked the close force and safety reverse light systems, and installed the remote control opener keypad. Throughout, he was very neat and cleaned up after himself. He also warned us to allow some time before parking our cars inside to prevent any lubricant drips from getting on them. He spent nearly two hours on the job and when the work was done, the doors were nearly silent. What a difference it made! My wife was even more impressed (atta boys for me!) It honestly was one of the best contractor experiences that I have ever had in this home. I couldn't have been more pleased with the work, the professionalism, and especially the price.

They did a great job. They were on time and very easy to work with. I would certainly use them again.

Jeremy arrived on time, was very polite and efficient. Did a check of all parts and told me what he would do. He did all he said he would and made suggestions on what might need repair/replacement in near future.

They were supposed to come late on a Friday, but called me mid afternoon and asked if they could come earlier. Unfortunately that wasn't convenient, so we rescheduled for Monday afternoon at 4:00. Hugh, one of their service techs, called me sometime after 4:00. He was about to head my way but was over an hour away! We discussed rescheduling, as I was only after a second opinion and was taking him an hour AWAY from his home base (that was my concern, not something he raised) - but after consulting with the office he came on and arrived at 5:45. He suggested some approaches we could take to extending the serviceable life of the doors - but was not able to talk about replacement. That's handled by other people in the company. We agreed on what to do. He worked efficiently and steadily - repairing what he could, and replacing some rollers and angle brackets. In the end, the cranky door appeared to be working much better, and certainly the adjustments to spring tension and the like were much better than I could accomplish. He gave the "better" door the once-over, and we decided to replace the rollers there as well. I will certainly user GGD again in the future. And when it comes time to replace my current doors, I will want them to bid on the job.

This Georgia Garage Door was a pleasure to work with...! Jeremy went into detail about the garage door and future maintenance. He fixed everything that my father did incorrect when he installed the system. Would use Georgia Garage Door again & recommend them to clients...!

The garage door installation went extremely well. The technician arrived on time and gave me a very accurate estimate of the time required to install the door. There were no surprises, the installation was seamless and I haven't had any problems at all. The door looks great and has greatly enhanced the appearance of my home. I received four estimates from competing garage door companies and this company had the best price and best sales staff, providing more information than the others.

Estimator called ahead and listened carefully to my concerns. Took a close look at the door and all the mechanics. We were concerned the door and the unit are so old that we are looking at buying all new equipment. He confirmed the door can be saved, got the estimate. We got an Angie's List discount. He did not have the springs so we discussed whether they can come back later in the day or on Monday. Monday would have been fine but he called Hugh to pick up the springs and come get it fixed today. Hugh called ahead and came about 2 hrs later with the springs and fixed the door. Treated my home as if it were his own. I'm a lady homeowner and they treated me great. Total professionals and nice people too. I can't afford a whole new system and they saved a 30 yr old garage door and made it good as new. The door is smoother now than it was when it was first installed - quieter too. I would recommend this company to anyone in a heartbeat. UPDATE -- A week or so after the service we realized that whatever Hugh did the lights on the garage door opener no longer work. We assumed the bulbs were dead but since neither one of us could get up a ladder at the time it took 2 months to get up there to change the bulbs. This did not work and we later realized the electric to the bulbs was dead. Never called to have him come back so the company was never given a chance to fix it.

The woman in the office (I believe her name is Stephanie) is responsive, professional, and helpful. Jeremy came out to do the work on the door. He also behaves very professionally. He did a fine job on the garage door tune up. Jeremy went out of his way to make us happy. He said that customer relations are very important (and he's right!). How nice to deal with a business that realizes this. I give this company an A+ based on our very positive experience with them!

The service tech. was very professional and took care of the job very quickly. He was on time and courteous. He informed us to look for things that would break-down service in the future and when to replace rollers etc. The entire experience was very professional and I would call them in the future.

The Big Deal was for decorative hardware and a tune up for garage door openers. The young man (sorry, I forgot your name!) was punctual, polite and professional. Even though it was raining, he arrived on time and worked quickly, quietly and cheerfully. My dog had chewed some of the wires, and he was able to reconnect everything and get my car opener fully functional once again. Highly recommend this company. Thanks!

The workman was very friendly and professional. He gave good advice and finished the work in a timely manner. One thing that he forgot was to fix the cover plate above the garage door. I did not think that it was enough to call him back to do, although I would like to have had it done. Yes I would use this company again, and I recommend this company.
