Came the day I called to give estimate of work, then arranged to complete the work the following day.

If you need lawn care or landscaping done, and you live in the greater Disgusta area, DEFINITELYcall A Cut Above lawn care. They were awesome. They came at the exact time they said they would, got the work done in less time than they said it would take, and charged me exactly what they quoted me. And on top of that: a rock got kicked up by a weed whacker and broke the window in the back door. I told ANdrew, the guy in charge, what had happened, and he took a picture, measured the glass, and said he'd replace it as soon as possible. Within 30 minutes, he was back with a brand new window, which he replaced himself. I'll definitely use these guys again. Amazing!

They had to come back out to complete a half hearted attempt and i was not happy with weekly service they performed

All work was performed as agreed. They started early morning and continued till the job was done. Andrew helped out by fitting me into his schedule. It was hard work in the heat carrying everything from my backyard down a hill to their truck.

Andrew was very helpful through the whole experience.He advised what sod would work best with our lawn and was thorough through the process. We traded multiple emails back and forth and gave me an itemized estimation based on the work done. The sod has taken beautifully and I am very satisfied. I would use him in a heartbeat for any future services and highly recommend him

The work was done quickly and very well?cleaned up entirely.

I agreed to the hourly charge of $25/hr because it was tedious job. It cost a lot which I knew beforehand that it would. I was disappointed that it still came back quickly, so I'm not sure that any weed killer was used on roots or if they were even able too. Perhaps it's just hard to kill. They were professional and carried off the debris.

They showed up on time. Were responsive to my calls & emails. Job was completed as promised even though it was pouring down rain.

We had no problems with cutting the yard (the spring grass hadn't started growing yet, so it wasn't that hard) - the problems came with the way the contractor did not trim the shrubs as was discussed at the on-site estimate. We have a specimen cleyera which was in a pyramid shape - the contractor cut the top off flat and trimmed the rest into a muffin shape, the boxwood hedges in the rear of the house were not separated and rounded, and the large hollies in front were barely trimmed (2-3"). We discussed our dissatisfaction on a telephone call with the contractor (who had already left the property), which quickly turned into a case of "he said, she said", with the contractor claiming he had trimmed all the shrubs exactly as he was instructed. It should be noted that the contractor never - not once - even offered to return and see what it would take to fix the work we were dissatisfied with and never offered to adjust the bill to account for the work done improperly. The attitude was "I did the work the way you told me to", and that was where the cntractor's concern with the job ended. I am uncertain as to how this contractor got such a high rating on Angie's List -which was the SOLE reason I contacted him in the first place - but it could NOT have been for the quality of the work performed in our instance. In any event, I was unwilling to go through the time and expense necessary to contest the bill in small, which has now most reluctantly been paid. Members utilizing this contractor in the future may find it well worth it to specify, in writing and with signatures indicating understanding and agreement, the exact details of the work to be performed and specifying that a customer walkdown is required before payment is rendered. Correction of these conditions has cost us additional monies almost doubling the price paid to this contractor. The old saying got it right: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I've learned my lesson.

It was a great experience. There were four people and they did it all in two hours; that was really good. They were extremely efficient, did everything that I asked, and were pleasant to deal with. I have good things to say about them and have recommended them to a couple of neighbors. I think it was a fair price for all that they did. I am very happy with them and am thinking of calling them again.

The initial clean-up was done in a timely, professional manner. Due to a major storm in our area, there has been an inordinate amount of debris to remove from the property. I'm sure this will be completed in subsequent visits and I am very pleased with A Cut Above Lawns and its owner Andrew Santa.

Mr. Santa responded very quickly to my request, in fact he came by my house the same day and provided the cleanout estimate, which was quite reasonable for the work that needed to be done. The yard cleanout was done quickly and above expectation. The regular monthly lawn service is done as promised in the original estimate and done well. I would highly recommend A Cut Above Lawns to anyone looking for quality, affordable landscaping service.

These dudes showed up right on time and checked to confirm what I wanted done, then it was on! Hard to keep track of everything that happened because they were done with both front and back yard in less than two hours. Property looks a billion percent better now. I won't ever go with anyone else, and neither should anyone else. I don't care how much these guys are making, it's not enough.

We are new with this provider and are working out details. All in all the work is very good and the owner responsive.

We set up a meeting time and he was there; we walked round and discussed the shrubs and small trees that needed cutting back and how much to prune. He said they would come back the next week, do the work, and leave the invoice. He did that, and the bill was exactly the amount quoted.

We described to him what we want to do. It was a good experience. They kept their appointment time. I don't have complaints.

They have also performed two special requested clean up projects. All work has been quoted in advance. They perform the services promised. We will continue to use their services.

Andrew was very patient and polite. The weather was working against us (darn tropical storms) and we had to be flexible to find sunshine to do the work! Andrew called prior to coming (since there was a chance of rain) and gave me about an hour's notice. When I arrived home, they had their tarps down (to catch dropped soil from spreading to the concrete) and were ready to get started. Andrew and his staff of young "pups" (aren't kids getting younger every year?) were very respectful, careful, polite, efficient, and friendly. In 45 minutes time, they unloaded 3 cu yds of garden mix soil from the trailer into a wheel borrow, then pushed the wheel borrow to the back yard, emptied the wheel borrow into the raised bed (being careful not to break the sides) and spread the soil. As an added precaution, Andrew and his crew cut down the existing grass in the beds prior to spreading soil. That should keep the crossover grass to a minimum. When they were all done, they rolled up their tarp in the street (taking most of the dropped soil with them) and then blew the remaining soil into the yard where it quickly disappeared into the grass. Between wheel borrow loads, Andrew went out of his way (and beyond his scope of work) to help me with my water meter cover, to advise me on flower bed maintenance, and to teach me a bit about sprinkler systems. Andrew did not have to do those extra things. But it is just the way they are at A Cut Above Lawn Services. When I need something else, they will be the first I call.

The grass was cut, the driveway and curbs were edged, and any excess shrubbery was cut back. This company does a great job with every task they perform.

We contacted Andrew for some Spring yard cleanup. This time of year it gets very difficult to find people to work in the yard or do minor home repairs. Andrew responded right away and showed up when he said he would for the estimate and the work. The work was done timely, efficiently and his crew did not leave any trace they had ever been there. We have a large yard that needs this type of attention 3-4 times a year. I will definitely call on Andrew's company again!
