The original installation of the Rinnai failed, so to repair these problems, JST installed a back flow preventer.  It turned out this back flow preventer was {a} not necessary and was furthermore (b}  incorrectly installed.  Again, the back flow preventer was installed by JST as a fix for the problems which attended their initial installation.  All of this was corrected by another plumber.  It became evident to us that the JST manager just wanted to get us off his desk.  So, we paid their invoices and moved on.  The Rinnai has worked perfectly since the second plumber cleaned up JST's mess.  This second plumber removed the BFP and made a few other adjustments, that's all.
Response from JST Plumbing LLC
"Mr [Member Name Removed], I am very sorry that you had this experience. This job was completed almost 2 years ago, and no one ever called our office to voice their concerns that the work that was done was not working correctly. Our policy is not to "get people off our desk". I understand that you had the issue resolved by another co, but if you would like to call us to voice your displeasure with the job, please call office at 706-276-6633, or plumbing manager direct at 706-669-5335."

A very nice individual, very unprofessional job. The opening for the new kitchen sink needed to be slightly different. The serviceman did not use the templet that was provided with the new sink. He attempted to place the new sink into the opening and make marks
to be used for sawing the counter top as needed to fit the new sink. He showed me the chipping of formica the saw was causing. I ask if this wouldn't be covered by the rim of the new sink and was told that yes it should be hidden, but there was a risk of large chipping and I said I understood. He became very frustrated with the attempt to saw the counter top and worked on the other items on the list for quite a while. He came into a very clean work inviornment and made no effort to contain the mess. My entire kitchen was covered in wet towels, dirt, and saw dust. Later I ask if he was ready to install the new sink, and he informed me he was shifting the sink to the left because it did not line up with the overhead cabinets. He said he was through cutting the opening left/right and just had to cut more off the front/back. The original sink was lined up with the two cabinet drawers below the sink, not the ones above. The opening had been cut and what he had done could not be undone, I saw no point in saying anything. Now on the right side of the sink the counter top in riped to pieces because he shifted it so far to the left. It looks horrible. When he finished cutting the counter top I ask if I could please try and glue some of the formica back that was torn off. I told him it took fifteen minutes for the contact cement to dry enough to stay. He explained that he had to get done as his boss was going to be very upset at how much time he spent on the job. He didn't even bother to put a bead of silicone under the rim of the sink. I have waited months to get my new sink, and Rohl faucet. The faucet alone cost over six hundred dollars, and it now has plier marks on it. It is set so that the hot side is a quarter inch closer to the inside of the sink that the cold is, what poor workmanship. The clips to tighten the sink rim to the counter top were not put in place before he had the sink and plumbing in place. He then tried to put the clips in from below and was only able to get a couple of them in place. The drill he used put deep marks on the inside of my cabinets. The washer box was not replaced, just the valves. The ice maker valve was not replaced, just repaired. The original included replacemant. When he handed me the bill he explained he had spent more time on the sink than he'd though so my bill was now 618.00 with a supposed senior discount. I then ask if he would please help me move my washer so I could get the standing water off the floor I could see behind the washer. The washer had a pile of wet towels and dirt all over it. The old plastic box looks terrible. The outside hose bib had to be acessed from the inside dining room wall. He had left the area in a real mess. What a dissaopintment..

It is my Mr. Nice Guy husband who is responsible for not requesting an estimate prior to contracting with the plumber. The washer connection had a bent pipe. I had no idea it would take a couple of hours and cost nearly $400 or I would have insisted that he secure more estimates and ask this contractor.

We are pleased with the work but I would have appreciated the plumber keeping us apprised of any complications that would have explained the final cost.

Jason Canote quoted me $650.00 to remove two old defective electric water heaters, haul off the two old units, install a new 50 gallon heater and cap off the line to the other heater.. He arrived on time as promised and the work was done in a very professional manner.
He did a good bit of additional work such as supplying and installing two ball valves at the new heater and setting up two ball valves for future installation of an additional heater if needed. However, he did not charge me any extra. He said he had quoted $650.00 to do the work and would stand by that charge.
I would definitely recommend Jason to anyone needing the services of a residential and commercial plumber.

We were about to close on a house in Ellijay when we discovered water every where! Fortunately, the seller agreed to compensate us for the repair and the closing went through. This is a home that we have yet to move into, but needed to have the water issues addressed. I called JST and got a prompt response. The issue was that a valve had been left slightly opened and had slowly been leaking over several weeks.
In addition, JST checked out the water connections to the house and from the street. He made some recommendations as well. What impressed me was that when we offered to settle up, he said to just wait until we addressed the other issues. AMAZING!!!! I would recommend this company for ANY work. I look forward to writing many more positive reviews as we have the house fixed and begin to remodel!

Jason had previously looked at the tub when he did the install of our water filtration system. At that time he took down the information on the pump to try and find out from the manufacturer how to fix the issue with the switch. He followed up two weeks later and gave me the update that he could get the parts and I had the option to do this myself (which he said was easy) or he could do it. I asked him to do it and he quoted me a fixed price in advance which I appreciated.
It took him about 90 minutes onsite but the tub now works as it is supposed to and things are in great shape.
I appreciate how prompt and friendly Jason is as well as how he is willing to quote over the phone and then stick to that quote when doing the work. I would gladly recommend him to anyone in the North Georgia area.

I'm the absentee owner of a cabin I recently inherited. Noticed water flow at kitchen and bathroom faucets was poor. Suspected pump and/or well problem. Found several plumbing contractors on Angie's List that listed such service but none that were rated. Blindly picked JST.

Company called within an hour of emailed inquiry. Scheduled service call for evaluation of pump-well-plumbing.

Jason met me at the cabin as scheduled. He was pleasant, punctual, and professional.

Discussed the water supply and what little I knew of it. Turned on the water at both faucets and noted poor flow. Removed strainers from faucets and found them badly clogged. Scraped away with a pocket knife. Replaced strainers and turned on water and ...et puis, voila!... water flowing spectacularly well.

Problem solved and owner left looking like an idiot.

Figure, "Well, H***. Might as well pick his brain since I'm paying for a service call." So, he tells me about the system and its maintenance and warning signs of impending problems. Discussion expanded to rest of the plumbing and septic tank.

He spent at least 45 minutes at my place. Considering travel (as the property is in the boondocks), I suspect he had 1.5 hours or more invested.

Pulled out the checkbook and awaited the amount:

-This one's on me.
-What? No way. That's not right.
-No, I'm one of the co-owners and one of the benefits is that I can choose to help people out when I can and I can choose not to charge someone.
-
Huh???
-Just pay this forward and help someone else.
-
SAY WHAT???
-And hopefully you'll remember us when you have actual plumbing needs at this property.
-Uhhh... sure.... yeah.

Absolutely would not take payment. I'm still kinda dumbstruck. Of course, he'll always be the first one I call if the need arises.

Out of curiosity, after the service call was completed, I accessed the company website that was printed on the business card. I was extremely impressed with the fact that all employees AND the owners are fully verified as persons you would want in your home. They have drug testing, motor vehicle reports, criminal record checks and their employees are fully licensed and insured. There is also a 2 year warranty on any service they perform. Plus, there is never an after hours charge on their services.... this is really important because we all know that most problems arise when we least need them to - like nights, weekends, and holidays. What a great bunch of folks to have on board to solve my problems. Obviously, I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with JST Plumbing! I highly recommend this company.
