S&H Seemless Gutters

He gave an estimate for $1800. He kept going back and forth with the price. He said that the job would not take long, and that it could be finished in one day. That was in August. He showed up a week and half later. He said that he wanted $1000 up front, which I gave him for materials. He did not come back the next couple of days. I called and he finally showed up. He did not finish the job and did not come back. Each time I called, he gave excuses. He finally claimed that he finished the job in September. He stated that he did not put in gutter guards because that would be an additional $675. I advised him to do that. He was here all day, and said that he was finished. I could not go two stories up to check the work. From my bedroom window, I could see part of the roof and half of the gutters. I did not see any guards on them. We hired a contractor to check it out. There were no guards. Scott had cashed the check. I called Scott to tell him there were no guards and the gutters were leaking. He said that he would come back out on Monday. He did not show up and has been unresponsive to my calls. The work has not been completed and I have lost a great deal of money. He lies all of the time, and I would not recommend him to anybody!

Scott Hunter, came to the house, cleaned out all of the gutters and fixed one that was hanging off the side of the house. He suggested that we put on the gutter guards. After cleaning out the gutters he came back and told me that we really didn't need them. I appreciated his honesty in the manner.

The gutters were done satisactory at first, which is why i continued to use scott. After time I found were he cut corners which led into more problems. I beleive the gutter guards he installed at a significant cost are the same ones found at lowes, and simple to install. I found out much later. the addition work started out well then slowed down after time the job was never finished Mr. Hunter would not return my calls I called several times daily materials paid for have not ben delivered as of this time. At times I have ben able talk with Mr hunter he stated what materials he had for the job at his shop however has not delivered them all as of this time, I say all becouse he left some of the windows by my barn at the bottom of the drive while I was working on the house but left before I could get down to the barn, no more then a few minutes. that has ben 2 weeks and have not herd or seen him since. The doors on the room had to be removed and reinstalled square so the latches would work. houserap was not put on whare it was suposed to be. Insulation R 38 paid for he changed to blown in insulation and blew in he stated. half of this cealing is limited access and difficult to see into. I had to open this area and found over half the area had visable drywall 0 attic insulation no area had over 6 inches and that was against rafters. The wood floors were installed wrong, he stated it was defective flooring and that it would be replaced, per Mr hunter, He had people to install flooring this went on for some time weeks and they never showed up AT 4 pm one afternoon when they were suposed to be there that morning, materials were not at house installers had not contacted me to install I was told by scott they would call by monday that week and it was thursday. I told scott to bring the materials I would do the job myself I still have not seen the replacement flooring Which is supposed to be in the room 72 hours to adjust to humidity prior to installing according to the instructions on the origional flooring which lowes also carries. The siding, finish, and trim all have to be removed and redone, all the siding was never delivered to to house so I had to go and buy more siding. By pricing materials I found he overpriced a lot of items buyers beware. Multiple major problems in siding instalation required all siding to be removed and reinstalled correctly ( no house rape in areas siding installed over electrical outlets, overlaps done incorrectly gaps of 1 inch left between siding and soffit poor preperation prior to instalation, also installed drywall over interrior outlets. kept prommising he would fix never did I did it myself. The more problems I fixed the more problems I found and am still fixng at this time. There are multiple other problems that we have fixed and I hope I dont run into to many more issues. MY experiance with Mr hunter has cost me alot of money and time to do a job myself I was paying to have done by someone stating they were a contractor
