I used to be with Northwest, then Arrow and now Venture. I've got to say Venture's quality of service exceeded my expectations. They are not just a spray and pay like I was used to. They always took the time to treat my home and yard. Customer for life guys, keep up the good work!

As always, the service went very well from start to finish. It was easy to schedule. They showed up as expected and the technician was extremely professional and pleasant. Since their treatment, we have had no further issues with insects.

Technician Scott was on time, courteous, professional and thorough. He took the time to review with me my recent concerns. He walked me through what he was going to do and spent time afterwards making sure all my concerns were resolved. I have a regular service agreement which they treat quarterly. If situations come up within the quarter, they have been prompt and responsive in dealing with those situations.

I nside the home: Pump-sprayed all base board, opened kitchen cabinet and pump-sprayed under sink as well as under sinks in all bathrooms. Outside the home: Used a long pole with a mop attachment and wiped all visible spider webs from house. Pump-sprayed an outdoor flood light that had a hornet's nest on it. Pump-sprayed all shrubs with spider webs. Sprayed pest control granules in the lawn. Suggested we cut a pine tree limb away from the house because roaches like pine trees-they can jump and partially fly onto the roof to gain entry inside the house. I explained this to my neighbor who owns the tree and they will cut the limb. Thank you for telling me about this fact.

I got a door to door college kid trying to sell me pest services for my yard from this company this afternoon. It was one of those high pressure pitches: and quot;See...we normally charge a gazillion dollars for this service, but for TODAY ONLY, I'll charge only $100..and quot; So I say NO...I have a service I trust.and quot; We go back and forth and the price drops to $35 if I'll sign up TODAY. Ok...the price was actually $165 to start. First offer was $55, and then the final offer was $35. What I found strange was that the service was to treat my YARD but the price was based on the square footage of my HOME with no concern for how large my yard is. That makes no sense. The best (funny) part was that they claim to kill the spiders in my yard. I told the kid that I LIKE the spiders in my yard. They eat the insects in my yard. He says they'll keep them out of my home. I tell him that my other pest control company handles that already. He then tells me they'll clean all the spider nests from the eaves. I've just painted my home, so I know I have no spider nests in the eaves. I feel sorry for this kid. He doesn't know better and is at the mercy of someone probably forcing him to sell a certain number of contracts door to door every day. I hope he's not stuck here in a flea bag motel until he makes quota. Anyway...what makes these folks THINK I'd do business with them when (a) I'd never heard of them and (b) I already have a pest control company and (c), I am SURE the contract they SAY can be cancelled CAN'T be for SOME reason. Anyway, beware of these door to door folks. If you want a pest service provider, search Angie's List and get one of the folks from here who have an established A rating! Here's a tip to any and every service provider out there: I don't buy stuff from college kids selling it door to door. Unless your a Scout selling popcorn or cookies, you'll have no luck with me.

After the high pressure sale, i relented and decided to give them a chance. They said they'd be by to service our house at 4. At 4:40 they called and said that they'd be there around 5, but we had plans and couldn't hang around. The dispatcher was upset and said and quot;but he's already on the way to your home.and quot; I said and quot;then, go ahead and cancel altogether because we're not going to be here.and quot; She agreed to send him out again by 10 am the next day. I got a voice mail around 2 pm saying that there was a mix-up and he'd be there around 4. I didn't call back and haven't heard from them since. After reading some of the reviews here, I'm glad!!

The appointment went well, the technician was punctual and on time. He did everything that was promised from the Venture Sales Rep and even a few extras. He explained that spiders can sometimes take a few applications and to call should I experience any issues in between services. So far the results have been outstanding, I have seen a few spiders here and there but nothing like I was experiencing before. I would definitely recommend Venture to anyone needing Pest Control Services.

THE BAIT (cont'd) We'll (Venture will) do an initial pressure wash whatever-thingy and a perimeter treatment for $50. Quoted us a quarterly plan. See if you like, compare to your current service....don't worry, you have 3 (business) days to cancel. Initial treatment was okay, I reckon...I'm not an insect so I don't know if I'd be detoured or not. After looking at reviews here on Angie's List on them and also seeing no cost savings over our current plan with AllGood, we decided and declined (within 3 business days) to not move forward with the plan. THE SWITCH From my better half: and quot;So, I got a phone call from Venture pest control and they said since they had already done the first treatment, I couldn’t’ cancel. Don’t worry – I did get it cancelled. But here’s the thing – they completely tried to pressure me and tell me I couldn’t cancel. She said the contract said we had 3 business days to cancel but that didn’t count once the initial treatment was done. I told her – a) the contract doesn’t say that (and I know that because I looked at it in detail last night) and b) I specifically told the sales guy that I wouldn’t commit since my husband wasn’t home and that he specifically said I could cancel after the treatment. Then, she capitulated and said I could cancel but it would be an additional $100 for that treatment (which I knew would be the case, so I’m not upset about it except that I got suckered into saying yes which I’ll never do again). Honestly, their business practices are completely unethical in my opinion – if I hadn’t read the contract in detail and relied on her to be honest, they were telling me that I couldn’t cancel. And then she got irritated with me because I knew that detail. You should rate them poor in Angie’s List so no one else gets sucked in.and quot;

My experience was very pleasant and very professional. I decided to try them out after i saw my neighbors using them. I followed the tech and he explained everything nicely. $99 for my home, yard and inside. It was a bit more expensive then some of the other companies i looked into, but I really liked how they cleaned the house of the cob webs and treated the property, and gave me a guarantee to be bug free so i didn't mind spending a little more. Cheap always ends up being expensive with stuff like this in my experience. Store bought stuff is garbage and never works. Only thing I wish Venture did was Termites. This service I received is for all the other bugs and I wish I could do both termites and bugs. But overall, im a happy customer and my neighbor seems to have no complaints. Good job Venture, its nice to feel i got my money's worth.

This is a lot of foolishness. I still have the ants I had before. I still have the spiders I had before. Venture comes out quarterly. If you call they will come out again, but regardless of the application, their magic chrysanthemum juice doesn't make any difference. Good sales team, but bogus results.

I am sorry but I will not renew my contract with them.
