They met all expectations and then some.
Great job!!
Fairman Moving & Delivery Services LLC, provided exceptional timely, courteous, and affordable services to me and my family. They expedited a quote for my moving and deliver services. They assembled pieces and placed per my instructions within my home. I would highly recommend this company and standby their expertise.
Sincerely a very satisfied customer!
Marie
"We regret that the customer was not pleased! There were no damages done! The issue was that they tried to fit a whole house in a 16ft truck that they requested! That is why the cost was more. Our ad stats 3 men and a truck for three hours!!Its only so much you can fit in that particular truck! We will continue to give great service as we have done."
"We were on time and delivered (member name removed) furniture with no damages! (member name removed) didn't measure his stairway from his garage before the delivery! A series of questions was asked before delivery abou this matter!. This was not any fault of Fairman Moving And Delivery! We advised that his walls would be severly damaged! We offered to disassemble his exercise equipment he stated that he would take care of the project! This rating is false and inaccurate! As usual we go the extra mile for all of our valuable customers!"
"We visited the project before the appointment! Customer was advised of all variables to the project such as additional men, diameter, spacing, cost etc! Customer declined our suggestion of additional men. An estimate was given for the amount of time projected. We didn't charge for drive time because of traffic! We do all we can to accomodate all customers! As a owner I have a motto! Do the job over an above standards. From my observation we did exactly that! One of my motto's are "Moving Services Do Cost"!"
On the day of the move Fairman (owner) called about 830am and said they were going to be late about an hour from our original start time. (9AM)
Called them approx 10AM asking where they were, he stated that they were close.
Called me back about 1015 saying his gps cant find my address. I talked them in. They arrived approx 1030AM.
Fairman said there was some issue at the truck rental(??) business.
They seemed unprepared. They didn't have a plan of action. Seemed to me that he got some guys to come help him.
They had one small hand truck and one dolly. They used my larger hand truck.
They didn't have enough supplies. Ran out of shrink wrap after two peices of furniture. No way to secure blankets.
But they were pretty qwik at getting things out of apt to truck. I lived on 3rd floor back side of building. They had to use elevator.
Things got shady when they moved my bed's headboard. Pretty solid large piece. They didn't use a dolley or hand truck and carried it by hand.
10 mins later Fairman come back with one of the legs of the headboard and said "it just fell off". I said how? His explanation was that they were walking up in to the truck and "it just fell off". I said impossible. With out being hit, dropped or bumped really hard, how would "it just fall off"??
He blamed it on the the furniture store delivery and setup guys. He said he had seen this before, where they "over tighten" the bolts. The break was not at the bolts.
I bought the bed in January 2010. I "used" the bed extensively over the last 3 years and didn't have an issue. When I took the bed apart for the move, it had no issue. When it was moved from the bed room to the living room to the front door, no issues. But, "it just falls off" as you put it in your truck.
One of the guys said he could fix it if he had some wood joining materials.
I went to hardware store after getting them to house.
When I got back to may astonishment, everything was in the house, including up stairs.
The broken headboard was in the garage.
Gave him the supplies to attempt to fix along with my drill and tools.
Took about 30-45 mins to make it useable.
They took it upstairs. I said that I would put it back together.
Then came the bill. It was $299 for three hours. He wanted to charge me $430+. ($299 + $135 hr over) I said no.
You came 1.5hrs late, unprepared and broke my bed, which I had to buy things to try to repair.
I said the overage is for your guy trying to fix the bed that they broke.
He continued to blame the quality of my bed and its initial setup as the reason for the break.
They finished in 3 hrs. That's what I payed for.
Very unprofessional business. Lesson learned. Not recommended at all.
"(member's name removed) rating is inaccurate and false! His bed was damaged pryor to us taking it apart! His bed was made with imitation wood! We advised him of this issue and offered to repair free of charge! He agreed to buy the supplies! The move took longer than expected because of the location of loading/unloading position per management of the complex! We loaded the furniture without any damages! We used blankets that would serve for protection instead of shrinkwrap! Because of the size of the move. We discuss this from the beginning! The blankets was wrapped and tapped! We deducted the overage as a customer service gesture! "How far can we go without being falsely accussed"! We will continue to make the attempt to make our customers happy!"
"Full refund was given because of scheduling!"
"Full refund was given!"
"We had a very serious accident on the way to this customer! We were in communication with him on this matter. We were put in a very very difficult position! We hope others will be compassionate only because of the accident! Our work is very dependable and efficient. We hope that this review will analyzed and overlooked!"
"We regret that the weather conditions caused some difficulties! [Member Name Removed] decided to add more furniture which made a additional load which added more time to the projected quote that was given! To all be advised Alist members we worked in the rain to accommodate this customer! Our rating should have been higher!"
The 2 men were pleasant to work with and went out of their way to please all concerned. I would highly recommend this company for their professionalism and value. When payment was due I mentioned the 20% Senior discount which the owner applied without hesitation.
