S & W KITCHENS INC

It was excellent. It was the best. Absolutely fabulous.

We had an amazing experience with S&W kitchens. We ordered white cabinets which were the perfect shade and very warm. The high quality of cabinet material was remarkable. We love the soft closing hinges and drawer slides. The shelves are very thick and prevent sagging. The installation was meticulous and the attention to detail was immaculate. We would 110% recommend S&W kitchens. As for our designer Krista Agapito she was more than we could have asked for. She truly listened to what we wanted and worked tirelessly to give us that. She was available by phone for any questions at anytime and her communication and customer service were wonderful.

Not Good

Whitney was on time and very professional. She listened to my needs and had great ideas on how to get to my goal. We met at the office to look at a floor plan and samples. Unfortunately we have had to put our plans on hold due to an insurance claim. We hope to do business with S&W in the future.

First red flag: took three voice mails over the course of a week to get someone to call me back and set up and appointment to measure my kitchen and give me an estimate. Finally got an appointment and a designer named Kristen came to our house. It has been 2 weeks and have yet to receive an estimate or even a call back. Would not recommend them due to their unresponsiveness. Apparently they have too much business to bother even giving me a price.

When I initially called them I told them the budget was $30,000 for a new kitchen. They're contractor and their design consultant came out and took all the measurements and told us they would be in touch with us in a week with a design. So they called us and we went up to their showroom. They acted very professional and they pulled up these graphics but there was no new design. It was just our existing measurements. Then they proceeded to tell us that if we hired them for $720 they would do they design and continue with the project. If we contracted with them at that time we would be getting a design. And it was just absurd, and this $37-56,000 price they quoted me didn't even include appliances, it was just the cabinets and the flooring and electrical work. So I just laughed and left.

Never use them. We had a bad experience and we were charged a lot of money basically for nothing. We were using them for contracting services and that part of what they offered was terrible. I would not recommend them to anybody. We actually lost quite a bit of money because of them. They referred us to a molder mediation specialist that scammed us out of $ 5000. They referred us to an AC guy that was just terrible. They took about $ 2000 for an assessment of our plumbing and electrical and basically did nothing. That was a disastrous experience. May be if you use them for renovating your kitchen then there is no problem. We contracted with them to use them as a contractor because we had a lot of repairs to do in our house. We needed someone who had the experience and the contacts for all kinds of renovations like plumbing, electrical, floor work, molder mediation. So they said that they can do that and it turned out not to be true. That was a really bad experience. We were with them for a few months and it was a bad, bad idea. We paid for them to come in and do an assessment of our plumbing, electrical and dry wall replacement needs. It was something like $ 1800. They had someone come in and nothing happened. Nobody assessed the dry wall damage. They said that they will send someone that does mold remediation. He came over and because he was sent by the contractor we were using. We thought he was legitimate. This was really stupid on our part and basically he did nothing and he charged us $ 5000 for mold remediation. We had a lot of water damage in the house and we had a lot of mold growing in the house. I had told him that I am moving my older parents into the house and my young grand children, it is really important for me that there is not a mold column in the home that may impair their health in a negative way. He said don’t worry and he will take care of it. He did a little spraying here and there. He hung up a plastic tarp. He removed the molding at the bottom of the wall. That was it for $ 5000. Then we had to call in another mold remediation company that did a ton of work and also did an air quality test. That was another $ 6000. It was a nightmare. I was so upset that I contacted an attorney and she said I needed to give that guy a chance to come back and do the job right. I said no. What I really needed to do was to report him to the office of Professional Business Regulation because this guy is a scam artist. I do not know how many people he is scamming. It really set us back on fixing our house because we only had so much money to use. I was outraged that he would compromise my parent’s safety and my grandchildren’s safety. He bought his young teenage kid with him to help him do the job. I would definitely blacklist that guy. He was sent to us by S & W Kitchens Inc and I cannot forgive them for that. They needed to have been more responsible. The only thing that we enjoyed about the S & W Kitchens Inc was their kitchen designer. She sat down with us and she said that this is how she envisioned doing the kitchen. She was talented and she was good but we never got that far. Their purpose is to renovate the kitchen and they should stick with that and get out of contracting. I paid money for nothing. Lack of communication was their problem. I would never use them again in the future.
