Roane's Television

Roane's actually scratched my picture tube when they placed it on their work bench and did not see a small screw that they dragged across the screen. To make good on their responsibilitity for the damage they replaced the TV with another unit that they had repaired. The first replacement didn't satisfy my need (lesser picture quality) but the second one was just fine. I was happy that they admitted fault and took prompt action. I still have the TV they gave me as a replacement and it works great. Overall, I'd say they are reputable and very responsible with a degree of integrity. I'd use their services again.

While the shop is not high rent, they provided a great service and I haven't had any problems with my TV since it was serviced.

I had no picture on my flat screen tv. They fixed it and it was lest expensive then buying a new tv.

The board in the TV was bad and the cost to replace the board would have cost about the same amount as a new TV would. We opted to purchase a new TV. Roane's disposed of the old TV for us. I would use them again.

I've been dealing with the owner for a few years and he has always been very professional and knowledgeable. I always take all of my TV/VCR/etc. to Roane s and will continue to do so.

Took longer then expected but the repair was done correctly.

I had a 55" Samsung 3D LED TV that suddenly would display nothing but a 'plaid' screen with a faint picture image in the background. After reviewing Angie's list for a good TV repair company, I selected Roane's and took my TV in for service. They listened to my description of the problem and told me there was a 2 in 3 chance it could be repaired for under $300 by replacing one circuit board and that they would see if this corrected the problem which it did. Very knowledgeable and professional. I will use them again if I have a repeat problem with a TV.

The provider looked at the setup and then said he was unfamiliar with it (it's a state of the art Panasonic), that it was too complicated, and that he thinks someone in the office knows about it. He stated that he would have to read the book to fix it and that he had no time. Instead, he fooled around with it for an hour and a half. It still did not work after he left. He charged us $94 for not fixing it. I called in Century Link. The technician came and said all the cables had been put in wrong. The technician from Century Link fixed it in five minutes, gave us a tutorial while I took notes, and refused to charge us for it as he said it was a trivial job but to call him if we had any trouble at all.

They diagnosed the problem and promptly repaired. All details were shared and lowest cost alternatives were provided. They are prompt, honest, friendly and extremely knowledgeable and competent. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to anyone!

Roane TV personnel assisted me in determining that the TV was likely repairable at a reasonable cost through our discussion on the phone. they arranged a convenient appointment time the next day. They arrived on time and were able to verify the problem. They re-built the power supply on site and replaced the TV in its wall mount. They were professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. We will use them again if we need such repairs.

Excellent. When the TV stopped working on the Friday before NCAA Final Four weekend, I called Roane's on Saturday morning. Call was promptly answered. Options to deliver TV or pay nonrefundable service fee ($79.50) for pickup/delivery. Had a good discussion re: limits on cost to repair and received assurances that we would be called before exceeding the estimate. Service person picked up the TV the next Monday and returned it one week later, fixed within the price quoted. This company was excellent to deal with from beginning to end.

I described my older TV's issue and received a ballpark idea of the repair cost. They stayed in the ballpark and TV works great! I will use them again and tell all my friends to as well!

Most of it was explained in services performed. I called Roanes to let them know the issue we were having with our 60" Sony (the picture was mostly green) color was way off. They came out & looked at the TV & confirmed that it was the optical block part & took the TV to their shop. The part was ordered & they kept the TV a couple of days after the new part was installed to make sure it worked properly. It was brought back to us & works just fine now.

WOW!!! Big Screen (61 inch) TV needed repair - Came the day after I called. Was given estimate in home, and then they took TV to shop. Was contacted next day - original estimate was a little off, so they wanted to verify I would still want the TV fixed at the slightly higher price (due to part costing a little more). The gentleman who called explained, in great detail, what the problem with the TV was, and what the fix was, and how long it would take. TV was fixed and returned several days earlier than expected, which was great. All in all, the experience with Roane's TV was above and beyond what I expected - they were great!!! I wont hesitate to use them again in the future if the need arises (which I hope it doesn't)!!!

They picked up the entire TV transported it to their facility and returned it within the time frame initially provided five business days, and everything went very smoothly. In fact, on the day we were to receive delivery of the TV there was a problem with our scheduling and they went out of their way to change delivery to coincide with our issues. After delivery we had a problem with the TV which actually turned out to be a defect in our attached components (VCR) and they were willing to come out and check out and assist us with checking on that issue the same day if needed.

I took my TV to Roane's Television after I had another firm attempt to repair it. Roane's quickly determined that several parts had been replaced that were not the proper parts for this model. Roane's explained the problem in detail and asked for permission to order a repair manual, stating this might add 7-10 days to the repair. I agreed and the manual was ordered. After the manual came in, Roane's discovered several parts that had been improperly replaced, so another 7-10 days was needed to get the proper parts ordered and installed. The TV is now fixed, for less than the estimate from the first firm, and I am very happy.
