I have used Steve's services in the past and have always been pleased. He had to do some adjusting to the door when he installed the handle and lock. When he arrived I asked if he could install the shower head also. He was able to do it as well. I was very happy he was able to install it as well. He cleaned up after himself as he always does.

Great work. Very punctual. Steve actually called to do the work a few days earlier than he committed to. What I really loved was his honesty. Other contractors had given much higher estimates and had said I would have to replace my entire siding and trash enclosure. Steve said he could repair the damage without replacing anything. I will be forever grateful for the high quality of work at a reasonable price.

The work was completed as agreed, what was missing is something in writing stating a level of workmanship guaranty. His word was all he offered.

Mr. Lacey was punctual and returned my call quickly, however, after coming out and seeing that the job required ladders and/or scaffolding, he declined the work.

Mr Lacey came out and gave me an estimate to replaced a fence on our carport, fixed a ceiling panel and soffit. His estimate was one of three that I received and was in the middle of the other two. Mr Lacey came out today completed all the work and the actual work came in cheaper than the estimate. Everything looks great and he hauled away all the trash from our project.

Steve came out and looked at the three varied jobs I had. He explained what each entailed, and gave me an estimate. He said he charged by the (half-)hour, so that the final total might be more or less. Steve came to do the jobs while my wife and I were both working. The jobs were all done completely to our satisfaction--and there was a check made out to us because the jobs took less time than he estimated.

Steve was fantastic from start to finish. He showed up on short notice to do an estimate and was able to fit me into his schedule to have the work done the next week. He explained exactly what he was going to do, the price for the labor and the estimated price for materials. There were some unexpected issues once he disassembled my bay window and he showed those to me and detailed exactly how he was going to fix those. The work was done quickly and looks great. The interior work he did was superb as well. I will be using him again if I need any work done.

Mr. Yancy provided all repair and replacement parts. Was a steady worker, on time, professional, a great personality with helpful suggestions on repairs.

Mr. Lacey and his assistant Fernando were true professionals. I called and left a VM and Mr. Lacey returned my call within a couple of hours and we set up a time for an estimate. He came out right on the appointed time and gave a detailed estimate of the services to be provided with step by step of what he would do and what materials would be used. He then called with the estimate later that evening. We agreed upon the terms. He came out and delivered a written estimate which matched the verbal estimate word for word. He took a deposit for materials and gave a tentative date to do the work. Since the work was external and he was caulking and priming, he wanted to ensure the best results and was waiting for the best day to do the work weather wise. He called the night before and confirmed the date and time. He was punctual and began the work. He and his assistant laid drop clothes and wore booties to prevent any damage or dirt on the carpets. The work was done quicker than the estimate and far exceeded my expectations. We reviewed the final work and he pointed out what all was done. He explained that the materials he used would prevent this damage from reoccurring. His work was top-notch and he was a true professional. If I ever need anything done again on our new house, I will definitely call Lacey Home Repairs. His work and price cannot be beat.

Mr. Lacey and his masonry guy did a great job. They went above and beyond what we expected. I found Mr. Lacey on Angie's List. We were selling our home and needed a few things done after our inspection. I called Mr. Lacey and he made it out, I believe, the next day for an estimate. He was very thorough. The few items that were on our list that he did not do, he had contacts in just about every area that he either contacted for us or gave us their information to get estimates on those jobs. I was very impressed with Mr. Lacey's attention to detail and his thoroughness. We would definitely call him again for any other jobs, as well as recommend him to others.

I wanted someone more local, that is in VA, and called Steve around 730am. Explained that I needed my kitchen faucet replaced. He let me know that he had another job he was finishing up and could swing by my house in the early afternoon. We agreed on a time and he showed up around that specified time. I had bought the faucet prior to him coming that I wanted installed, and had gotten the wrong one, and he went to Home Depot, exchanged it for the correct one. I liked the fact that I called him in the morning and he came that afternoon and did the job in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend him to anyone that asked.

Mr Lacey arrive on time and finished early. Which was good because he knew I had to pick up my wife from the airport. Did fine job and cleaned everything up. Provide me with a person to contact to redo our bathroom.

Steve Lacey exceeded all of our expectations. We had numerous projects that needed to be done prior to putting our house up for sale. Steve was on time, provided a reasonable estimate, completed all work above expectations and ended up costing less than the original estimate.

We have used Steve Lacey many times over the past 10 years. He does excellent work, is handyman, very honest and although he is the owner. Does most of the work himself.

The owner was polite when setting up the appointment for the estimate, and took the time to go through my list of repairs. He just never provided me with an estimate after looking at the work to be done!

He is perfect! We've used him for repairs 3 different times. As has our daughter and each time he is punctual, professional& does top quality work. We trust him completely to charge fairly & do an amazing job. We leave key for him when at work.

I always had a phobia of handymen being a rip-off. But Steve from Lacey Home Repairs changed my opinion. I have several issues in the house that he helped us with. Steve came on a weekend and did a thorough inspection and gave us an estimate of labor and parts. Walked us through every single job item, the parts it would need and how it would be fixed. Amazing! We came in on a weekday and performed all of the work. All of the work he's performed is in very good shape despite the recent storm which was a good test. The price include, both, parts and labor. And a lot of the work involved risk, with climbing up the roof as well. Excellent work!

The shelf was constructed perfectly and the siding was done to perfection.

Found on Angies list - contacted him about some minor home repairs. He called us back within a few hours after we left message. We scheduled a meeting for an estimate and he arrived close to the agreed upon time. After we showed him the work we wanted done he took notes and agreed to contact us in about 2 days with an estimate. He did call us back on time and gave us the pricing for the work and materials. I thought the pricing was very fair. We made arrangements to have the work done 1 week later. Showed up on time to do the work. Worked quickly and did a top-notch job. The actual bill was less due to the fact he was able to finish before the estimated amount of time. The work was excellent - I was especially impressed with the work on the front door jamb, it was a split piece of wood that he repaired / covered so it looks like new now. I would not hesitate to recommend to any family, friends or neighbors or to have him return here for any additional work.
