Cullen painting did a great job painting my home. They made the whole process very simple. I took a few bids and they were very competitive. After I received the estimate I decided to paint the gutters and asked if they could put the rain spouts back up on the gutters (they fell off). They told me.. no problem they would do it at no additional charge. We planned the first day of painting and they showed up on time. They prepared the house by cleaning the exterior and papering/taping the first day. The next day they spent painting the house and trim. They are very professional and detailed. I would recommend them.

Cullen Painting was hired to paint the Fascia and soffits as well as the chimney. They were very professional from start to finish. Prompt on the initial visit as well as on the start date of the job. There were additional hidden costs and I highly recommend them..

Both interior crew(3) and exterior crew(4) did a terrific job. Attention to detail was excellent. Workmen were prompt, courteous, respectful of property and clean up was thorough. Tony and Brenda Cullen were the best to work with and promised satisfaction which was delivered. Can highly recommend this company for painting perfection.

OUR HOME LOOKS AMAZING!!! Cullen Painting is an excellent company to do business with. I contacted three "A" rated Angie's List paint companies for estimates and we are so happy that we selected Cullen Painting. The owners are caring and conscientious. Brenda even helped me select paint colors for the exterior of our home. They used the highest grade of paint. You could always see that the paint cans had the name of the paint on them, and not just large no name paint canisters. Their foreman, Wagner was professional, polite and an extremely hard worker as was his crew. Wagner was always on time and continually kept me updated as I was initially unsure if I selected the right color of paint for my house. He even painted a wall for me so that I could make sure I liked the color They always cleaned up before leaving my home each day. The Cullens came out daily to check on the progress of the job. They take immense pride in their work as if each job was for their own family. They are a very honest company which is very hard to find nowadays. They had requested that I count the number of windows in my home as they were going to sand and repaint all the frames of our windows, doors and screened porch. When I was presented with the invoice for payment Brenda Cullen advised me that I miscounted the number and the bill was less than the estimate that I was originally quoted. I find that to be quite a desirable quality in a business! To top this off, I never had a company request a "walk through" of the exterior of our home to make sure that my husband and I were pleased. Any areas that we felt needed attention were fixed and repainted. No questions asked. My husband and I love the paint job and we most certainly will be using Cullen Painting again for the interior of our home.

If all companies operated like this one then hiring contractors and workers would be simple. Great company from the beginning. They came out and gave us a very reasonable quote to paint our home. A few days later the job was complete without any issues. Their guys are prompt, professional, clean and do great work. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a paint job and I am glad to be giving them all "A" because they deserve it!!

Brenda and Tony were great!! They responded quickly to my initial call. They gave excellent advice during the color choice phase and they were a real pleasure to do business with. They painted the entire interior including ceilings, crown molding, baseboards, doors, walls, and garage interior, too. Then I had them come back to paint the exterior. Both painting crews were professional and the paint jobs are excellent. My house looks brand new!! They are the best and the only company I will call for painting!

I was impressed by the work performed by Cullen Painting! They charged at least 1/2 of what we had been paying to have our house painted before! As you know price isn't always everything, but the whole house was washed down, they sealed areas that are chipping (stucco) and then painted the whole house plus the trim. Also had asked to varnish the front door, and I believe they even planed down the part that was sticking, because it isn't sticking anymore! The only question I have is they painted over the screws for the hurricane shutters, and if we need to put those up, will the paint be all cruddy and chip? Not sure, but the house looks great and they also did a great job of taping and prepping so paint didn't get all over the windows, which our old painter always did. They know what they are doing!

Tony came out to give me a estimate of the cost of painting the building on a Monday and said I would have a quote on Friday. Fast forward to the following Friday and no response, so I called. I was told that they could not do work on the building because it had lead paint being that it was in the historic district of Delray. This was obviously wrong because it was renovated in 2006 and I told them as such. They said sorry for the confusion and that they would provide me with a quote the following week. I was frustrated at this point, but was willing to give them a second chance. Fast forward to the next week and still no response, which was completely unacceptable. When I called, Brenda answered the phone and said that they didn't have enough workers to do the work at this time and would be unable to provide me with their services. Their behavior was completely unprofessional and that fact that they wasted my time was even worse. If you cannot do the project, don't waste my time and have me walk the property with you. Would never do business with this company.

We were very happy with this contractor. They came and gave us a quote within 1 day of asking. Then they worked with us to get the information for the HOA and they scheduled the job. They did the job on time in within budget. I would certainly recommend them to anyone and will use them in the future.

They pressure washed and prep house and garage l removing numerous wasps nest. They removed all the mold from the house and garage. They paid attention to detail. It turned out beautiful.

Cullen Painters do all the most important things...and do them well. They were quick to come and give an estimate, scheduled the job in my tight time-frame, brought a team of painters that were experienced, worked well together, and were in and out in a day and a half. The owners were on the job before and inspected afterward. The "ease of doing business" is so vital here in South Florida as well as having a quality outcome and reliability. Thank you for a job well done. I also had them come back in December after new kitchen counters were installed and repaired the drywall and retouched the paint. They were very gracious to do a small job also.

This was one of the best companies I've ever hired to do work on our home. They were prompt with their estimate, gave me a fair price, showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job. Brenda kept in touch with me every step of the way to ensure everything was going smoothly. We are very, very pleased, and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again, or recommend them to anyone who asks.

THROWN OFF THE JOB - FULL PAYMENT SENT VIA CERT. MAIL 5.20.2015 I decided to use Cullen Painting because of their price and ratings on Angie's List (AL). Unfortunately, the work performed DOES NOT in any way match the "A" ratings. May 18: The workers arrived in the morning the started pressure cleaning the house. I decided to go out and see how the work was progressing and found the pressure person on my roof. I was very concerned because there is NO REASON for a painter to be on a roof, especially when the house is one story. I called Brenda and the excuses changed as the conversation continued through her husband and onto the foreman which left the job before the pressure cleaner got started. Imagine that liability claim if the worker fell off the roof. The pressure cleaner knocked out my electricity. The foreman tried to get the house back on by flipping the main power switch and the GFCI safety switch. The power surges might have ruined my refrigerator which now flickers ever time the doors are opened. The power was off for 2-3 hours to which Mr. Cullen said, that happens because those switches can be tricky. After twenty-five years of experience you think Cullen Painting would cover the electricity boxes and outlets before they let a guy with a high power pressure cleaner loose on the house...how lame. The electricity should not go out when you paint or pressure clean a house, period. Though the contractor will tell you differently even though, to my knowledge, he's not a licensed electrician. The foreman and I walked around the house before work started and I asked him if he needed to pressure clean the enclosed patio...NO, we will only do some light SCRAPING. The excuse after the pressure cleaner went onto the patio and started pressure cleaning with all the furniture, plants and nick-nacks in place was classic. Another call to the office and more excuses. The prep work was downright lousy. I have the photos and will place them on AL when I get my new computer. Not only was the house not properly cleaned, they did not properly calk or prime the naked concrete...let me repeat, they did not properly calk or prime the naked concrete. They also painted over "new" window calking...the excuse from Mr. Cullen's mouth...you want all of that dirt and mold showing...I reminded him the windows were installed in September of 2014. He offered to replace the calking, I told him to get a properly state licensed professional to do the work. They also painted the front door insulation. May 19-20: The workers arrived at about 8:30 and worked for about five hours. They painted over the utility boxes even though I told Mr. Cullen not to. His excuse they were already painted,to which I responded, I told you not to paint them, it's not to code. His workers also PAINTED OVER THE EAVES VENTS...I will have to call in a professional to have those fixed and will hand the bill to the contractor. All of the prep work (tape, plastic window coverings, etc) were removed on May 19. On May 20, the foreman arrived and started replacing all of the lighting fixtures on the patio. I asked him when was he going to do the second coat, he said, we did that yesterday, he was only here to do the trim, a second time. I called for Mr. Cullen and quite frankly, after all of the excuses and lies, I had just about had my fill of the Bovine Manure. He proceeded to blame the house, the person who painted the house before, which by the way, was the original developer and my anger for the mistakes made on this job. The argument will take up more than allowed on this web site. We discussed having another crew come out next Wednesday, Cullen refused to give me an ETA. After thinking about it, I called and left a message for he or his company not to come back. To recap: the "professional" did not properly prep the house, knocked out the electricity, NO REASON for being on the roof, painted over the utility boxes, painted over the eaves vents, painted over the window calking, painted over the front door insulation, painted the garage door shut...it almost came off the rails when I pushed the auto door opener. You think, after twenty five years in business the "professional" would have learned how to avoid these problems...by the way...I was a professional house painter (which Mr. Cullen knew), real estate developer and broker...Cullen Painting Got Caught Big Time. The only remedy to these problems; hire a state certified roofer to fix the eaves vents, hired a state certified window contractor to remove the painted calking and have someone come out with some mineral spirits and a tooth bush to fix the utility boxes. I will not allow Cullen Painting Back on the Property. It was so bad that when I pointed to a spot on the eaves where paint was peeling, Mr. Cullen pointed to another spot and said that was nothing. They are not welcomed back. I cannot wait to read the imaginative excuses for such a bad job...you weren't finished? Then why did your guys clean up all of the tape and plastic window coverings if they weren't finished painting? Another error? You do fresh tape and plastic for each coat? Don't believe it. August 24: After reading Mr. Cullen's response I have to say...lies...and how can you file a complaint with the county sheriff's office when you're trespassing and not living up to your contract. On your own contract is said...DO NOT PAINT UTILITY BOXES and you did. There were no two coats of paint, WHICH IS ALREADY PEELING. If this is the quality of your work...find a new line of business.
