They arrived early, made two trips for hardware to Lowe's & then made an appointment to return the next business day to do touch up work. JR did exactly what he promised and performed beautifully. He came back Monday and touched up the ceiling paint, and also shortened the rack chains, after suggesting that I see how my husband liked the height, which did need adjusting. The work was a little expensive but good! I did mention that I'd found him on Angie's List and after the work was done, he asked if I'd write a review. I'm happy to say that JR & son are great and I'd call them again or recommend this little company for handyman work. Honestly that is a great incentive for those of us needing a reliable service, and those providing honest, quality work.

I purchased at Big Deal for JRs painting. He was quick to return my call, and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate. JR arrived on time and I had the estimate the next day. Work was scheduled for November 19th. I requested Benjamin Moore paint for the job, which wasn't easy for JR to find. He had to go to three different locations to get it. He did a fantastic paint job for me, he was neat and careful when moving items in my home. I will hire him again for my next painting project.

The service was good overall. They definitely knew their service trade, and their attention to detail was good. They were also prompt and courteous.

Don't use this service -- JR Naugle took money for materials, didn't install the materials, and will not return $1,300. Filed a complaint on BBB on December 10, 2012. JR had until December 26th to respond. He has not as of 27 December 2012. It's been three months and he still has my money.

JR was professional, on time, and painted a bedroom beautifully. I will definitely use his services again!

I called them on Saturday, September 1 and left a message that I would like to get an estimate to have the entire interior of my 6 year old, 3600 sq ft home painted including all doors and moldings. Since it was the holiday weekend, I wasn't expecting a call back until Tuesday. I left my phone number very clearly at both the beginning and at the end of the message. By the afternoon of Tuesday, September 4, I had not heard from them. So I called and left them another message explaining I wanted an estimate to have the entire interior of my house painted. Again, I clearly left my phone number both at the beginning and at the end of the message. It's is now 10:45am on Thursday, September 6 and I still have not heard a word from them. I guess they have no interest in doing the work.

John did a great job. He got a quote to me quickly and when I agreed to have the work performed, he had the job done within two days. The door and door frame were rotted, so John installed a steel door. He did an excellent job and made sure that the door was properly sealed so I wouldn't have the issue again. I was very impressed with how well the job was done and J R Home Improvement is now my go-to handyman service.

Been awhile, work was great from what I recall though.

I have had ceiling patches done before in other houses and once in this house and I could always "tell" there was a patch. In this case, I have looked and looked and honestly cannot see the difference from the rest of the ceilings. He and his son also replaced the wood underlay in another bedroom that had molded and rotted from a patio door leak and a wall in my garage. JR made a point to make sure the paint matched. Everything was done expertly and finished--including painting. They finished the job when they said they would, even coming over on a Sunday morning! Everything was cleaned up. I was very pleased with the results and would hire them again.

John washer when he said would be through & carries about his work. Dewey pleasant as i joined Angie's list because of past bad experiences. all completed project when he said he would. UPDATE 2/28/13: Previously, I had given John straight A grades, however, the follow-up to this job has made me change my mind. They splattered paint everywhere and didn't clean it up. John had promised to come back and clean it up. I had to call them back to powerwash it. They had taken down a big, heavy arbor that they had taken down, partially, which had attached to my garage. The remainder of the arbor was left hap-hazardly in the front of my home, and John said that he would figure out a way to tidy it up and cap off the metal stripping that attached the arbor to the garage. In ten months, he hasn't come up with a solution and I haven't heard a peep from him. When they took the arbor down, John's son threw everything in the trailer, which included my house numbers that had been on the arbor. John never apologized and never replaced them after I brought it to his attention. Alongside the garage, (which is made of wood panels) he replaced a woodpanel that used to have an outdoor outlet. When he replaced the panel, he was supposed to leave a mark or something to indicate where this outlet is located. He didn't do it, and now I have no idea where it is, or even if the outlet is still live. John's son also broke several outdoor lights when taking the arbor down. I pulled them out and haven't been able to replace them. On the north side of the house, they replaced the entire side of wood paneling. They put one coat of paint on it and within a month there was black mold developing. He did come back out for that issue and power-washed before repainting. I'm surprised and upset that he didn't think that bare wood would need more than one coat of paint for protection against the elements. On the west side of the house they replaced one panel. The panel only had to be replaced three quarters of the way up and they didn't make sure to match it up with the rest of the panel above. I can no longer say that John and his son were professional. They would work only work a few hours at a time and then leave the job to probably go to another location. Over the course of six days, they only worked 19.75 hours. There is still work to be done and he hasn't come back, even though I have told him that I would pay extra to finish up the few things that need fixing. At this point, I wouldn't want him back here for free. Update 3-2-13: He did return my call and we came to an agreement that the situation can't be rectified by him.

JR can out twice to evaluate the job. After the second visit, we never heard from him again. We were expecting a qoute but got nothing.

The service was very, very good. He does quality work. The price was definitely right. He was incredibly polite--the perfect gentleman. He has come back to correct something I asked him to adjust. He gave me an Angie's List discount. He was even able to get a stain out of my driveway that no one else has been able to remove--I've gotten compliments on my driveway!

Great came out did an estimate. He final price was the same as the estimate.

I contacted JR for an estimate, it was timely and reasonable. He began work when he said he would. The work was completed professionally, and the results were outstanding. Most importantly JR contacted me daily to let me know the status of the day's events. I would hire them again.

The job went great, we had to keep adding things to the list and JR was able to do all of them. He is always pleasant and professional and did a wonderful of patching a kitchen ceiling from water damage. The painting looks great and his price is always fair. I hired him to do all of this at my Mom's house and she was very pleased with all of the work. I recommend him and will use him for any future jobs that may come up.

I had my living room painted. He brought his son with him to help., They did the job in one day and it was very challenging as the room has 20 foot ceilings. They responded to my request promptly and the work was done professionally and looks great. This is the second time I have used this company and I recommend them highly.

JR has completelly upgraded the look of our home. He was a pleasure to have in our home, very friendly and profesional. When my husband told him one thing and I came in with a completely different opinion, JR worked until we were both happy with the results. He is the only one we will hire for any remodling in the future.

This provider took a day or two to get back to me after my initial call. He was not available for a quote until a week later which we scheduled. He did not show up for the appointment and didn't call to cancel or reschedule. That evening, he called and apologized for missing the appointment. He was sincerely apologetic and asked if he could make it up to me by coming the next morning. I was driving at the time of his call and asked that he call me back in the morning. He did call the next morning and I said he could come bid the job. He came over and again apologized for missing the appointment. He did bid the job, getting the quote to me in a couple of days. We haven't made any decisions yet on whom we are going to use, but I am not ruling JR out. His "recovery" was good and I understand that things do happen. The score I gave him reflects his missing the appointment, however I am satisfied with his recovery and genuine demeanor. If we choose him to do the work, I'll update the score.

JR was very quick to respond to my phone calls and emails. He came to give an estimate in a timely matter. He arrived to do the job on time. He was quick and clean.

This company just refused to do the job for me. He did not even come out to do an estimate. He claims that he does not have the licensing information as a contractor. Because it is the exterior, structure, of the house, whoever does that job needs to be a Florida licensed contractor. He has not received his license yet, but he is working on it. He did not tell me when he would be done. He was very nice with me. He should have disclosed the fact that he does not have a license, on the web.

JR came to my place to work on two ceiling fans I needed help with. The first fan was installed into a location I did not know for sure had a working electrical outlet. (which my home's electrical isn't too nice). He had to spend some time troubleshooting the electrical system of my house to ensure which switch impacted the location. After some work there he was able to install it and it worked beautifully. Her also did repair another fan that partially fell out of the ceiling and got it securely installed back up onto the ceiling. Overall I am very happy with the work he did and would definitely hire him again.

I didn't know how I was going to paint this room with its high ceiling- and then I saw a coupon on Angie's List! JR Home Improvement would paint one room for $99! So of course I jumped right on that deal- and what a good decision it was.JR showed up right on time and completed the job in 4 hours. No smudges, drip lines, globs of paint,and no paint on my ceilings or trim.The room looks great and everyone who sees it, loves it.I am very pleased with the way the job went and with JR himself. I plan to have him do some plumbing work soon!

JR did a great job and was very accommodating to work when my schedule supported it. He was prompt, courteous and helpful on a variety of other topics I inquired about. I am now referring him to my friends and have already hired him to do another job for me.
