I got quotes from 3 different people before coming across Chris (owner) and his team. They have a very reasonable and honest rate for the high quality they gave my commercial show room floor. They set reasonable expectations on the time and service on the initial quote, and when I asked for a little extra, it of course extended the time and price point a little, and they ended up over delivering on their promise. I initially thought there were going to be a few dark spots after treatment just because the state of the concrete was so horrible, but they outperformed their own expectations on the prep and it came out virtually without imperfections, on budget, and on time. Most people leave reviews to say something bad, and I think it is worth noting that I'm going out of my way to say these guys were friendly, professional, trustworthy, and skilled. You are in good hands with the doctor of terrazzo! haha.

It was a very poor job. I have emailed him photos and showed him what I was dissatisfied with. He does not respond to a complaint. He doesn't come into look at the job and give you a realistic idea of what the job will look like when it is finished. If you are going to hire him make sure someone comes out to look at the job first to tell you what the expectations will be. They did not clean it correctly. There are stains and gouges in the floor. Do not pay it all up front. I would suggest paying half down and and pay the rest once you are satisfied with the job.
Response from Dr Terrazzo
"this customer did not pay ONE DIME upfront! We don't take ANY deposits or money upfront...ever- Her floor was in bad shape, we made her aware of it, some people choose to not listen, and are thus disappointed. We worked VERY hard trying to make her happy, but were unable to do so. We charged her less, as she was not satisfied, but please bear in mind, she was not happy because of the condition of her floor, not our efforts. Again, her total statement is false, in that she says "not to pay it all upfront"...again, we don't take money upfront-she paid after seeing the results and paying on completion, like all of our other customers. God bless and good luck with everything, [Member Name Removed], sincerely."

Their Web site showed before and after pictures. We got NO repair, none, to the Terrazzo at all, there was some cleaning,  used it for areas that were clean, they didn't do corner areas that they couldn't reach with large machine.. There are nails in the floor and holes bigger then silver dollars. There was NO written documentation. The owner called and gave a verbal cost. Then  showed up at 11pm at night to collect after they said they were done. Could not go in and see floors as they were wet from sealer and it was too dark to see the job.   they did not remove the refrigerator, stove or in the closet, they didn't even touch the front of  step that goes down. Called them the next day Thur 6/19/14  to tell them I was unhappy with the job and there were holes that they had  not fixed.   Nathan told me then that that was not part of the job it would be $8 per hole extra. I told Nathan that had never been mentioned in the beginning.  My biggest complaint is that I called them on Friday to let them know there were things that needed fixed, I have tried both companies, they got very, very defensive right from the start, they wouldn't even listen to me.  We are not picky people, I tried to talk to them first, they never offered to even come out to see the job or fix.
Called and gave them a second chance to make it right and Nathan came out on Wed 6/25, but had a very defensed hostile attitude.
We tried to talk to him but would not listen. Took his man and left.  We do not want him in our house again because of his attitude.
Response from Dr Terrazzo
"Unfortunately, the whole truth of this situation was not communicated by the customer...firstly, I am a gentleman, and NEVER not ONE TIME was EVER disrespectful to [member name removed]-this is false. Secondly, Nathan and I partner up on jobs from time to time. Nathan is a verifiable expert on all stone surfaces, including terrazzo. The entire problem that has not been mentioned here is that her daughter is very combative and nasty person, full of threats and the like. the big thing is she had NOTHING to do with this whole situation! She called me and right out of the gate started threatening me. Said we should issue a credit due to the fact that carpeting had been removed from the floor prior to our arrival. I didnt really know how to take her after she said she could "ruin me" on the internet...I told her I had an attorney to which she replied "everybody does". I tried to reason with her, but to no avail, she seemed very hyped up, and there was no reasoning with her-told her to have her mother call me and we would work it out. I did receive a call form [member name removed] and upon her informing me, I assured her we would do our best to make her happy. It was a pleasant conversation, this is where I am confused where she states that I was otherwise courteous. Nathan showed up to rectify her problems, and informed me he was not going to even charge her for the hole repair which is NVER included-this type of repair is very costly for us and I would never nor have I ever told anyone that the repairs would be included-there is no chance for a misunderstanding due to this fact. When Nathan arrived, low and behold her daughter was there and IMMEDIATELY started berating him. After awhile, after being threatened and talked to like a dog by a person who had no involvement, and has no idea of any conversation that was had, he decided it best to leave before further escalation. Please note that he shoed up, with one of our helpers to rectify any of her concerns, but could not after the combative attitude directed towards him. During our last conversation, I informed [member name removed] that we would not be threatened by anyone, including her daughter, and asked her please to have her daughter refrain from any further contact with us-she assured me she would talk to her, and we would work this out. This didn't happen! Her daughter called me form a NC number, do not know if she lives out of state or not, not really an issue, but be all of this as it may, she told us she wasnt happy, asked her to keep her arrogant and nasty daughter out of the situation, which she assured me she would do, we were fully ready to do WHATEVER it took to make her happy, and the daughter basically ran Nathan and our helper out-we gave her a good deal, which she requested, and that she didnt have the money to spend-a job this size, with repairs etc, typically runs in the realm of $2500-3000.00. We did everything possible to rectify this situation, but her daughters threats and involvement dod not allow us to do so. These are not just my words, but I also can obtain statements form Nathan and our helper as needed. We NEVER intended for any of this to happen, and again, had we not been threatened, we would have taken every reasonable measure to try and make her happy-she was pleasant, and never had a problem...given the PROPER opportunity, we would have been glad to do whatever it took, as always..."

They had a delay in getting started due to a death in their family.  I understand the delay and my prayers go out to their family.

Dr. Terrazzo cleaned my terrazzo floors and made them look like new again. There were a few hideous stains on the floors that needed to be removed and he got them up to where you can hardly see it. If I didn't know the stains were there to begin with I'd never notice them. My wife and I were very happy. We will definitely be using Dr. Terrazzo again!

Chris was very professional and prompt.  He removed carpet and carpet tacking then cleaned and polished 710 feet of terrazzo flooring in our condo.  He was honest and realistic about what could be done with our stained and cracked floors.  They look and smell clean at a very fair price! Thank you Chris!

He was amazing.  He was punctual and professional.  He gave a detailed explanation of the work being performed and delivered in spades.  He properly set my expectations in advance of the work so that I had realistic expectations of the outcome.  The work was terrific and I've been enjoying the floors ever since.  I would definitely use him again.  I found Chris through word of mouth, but he just happened to be on Angie's List as well.  Unfortunately, he is the only contractor that I've used from Angie's list that has done a professional job.

It was a disaster from start to finish!
Response from Dr Terrazzo
"We went out and did OUR BEST for this customer...the floor was in terrible shape, and there was extensive damage to the floor. I NEVER told the customer we would fill ALL of the holes, and from the start, he told me they were on a "budget". After him not being satisfied, I agreed to come back and re-do the job, which we did-as far as me getting angry, every time I tried to respond to him, he interrupted me, constantly...this became EXTREMELY frustrating, to say the least. From the start, I was courteous and knowledgeable, (his own words), and he decided to go with me based on, "my way of selling myself". I was also upset, due to the fact the customer stopped payment on his check without allowing me to correct any problems, (a violation of Florida State Law-theft of service, which I did not pursue), We did go back and re-do the ENTIRE job for him. When completed, he said he was happy, and signed the "accepted and satisfied" portion of his bill, and paid us another check. He said he was happy now, we shook hands, and that was that-the last I heard of him. I have received no further correspondence from him that he was not happy, and this is nothing but a vindictive immature way of handling an adult situation-had he called me and told me he was not happy, I still would have STILL done EVERYTHING within my power to make him happy-I just never had the opportunity to do so...we put over 22 hours total on this floor for the customer, did everything we could do, and I truly believe at this point, had I paid him to do it, he wouldn't have been happy-I never even had the opportunity to fix any scratches or issue a refund...I NEVER heard about any of this till now-I regret that he isn't happy, but should have given me the opportunity to fix it...before posting on here-we were punctual upon arrival, were very professional on the job, and his statements are mainly false and untrue...I do plan on further action against this person, as his statements are definitely not totally true, and will seek legal remedy for thiese lies-I have completed over 1000 terrazzo refinishing jobs, and have NEVER had a complaint, or something we couldn't fix-please visit (my web site) for an actual testimonial from a critical care nurse that we had to re-do a job for for legitimate truthful information-I take pride in my work, and I am disappointed this person has chosen to lie..."
