Doug and his team worked absolute MAGIC when removing the popcorn ceiling, resurfacing and painting the ceiling! He also patched and retextured the interior walls of our home. He was fantastic to work with and was a man of his word ! Job was finished on schedule with excellent communication through the entire project. In addition to his strong work ethic and professionalism he is an all around great guy. I would highly recommend him with no hesitation!

DHI just completed a project at our home. The removal of popcorn, patching, spraying knockdown texture and painting the ceilings in our living room and dining room. From start to finish Doug and his staff were prompt and very professional. They made sure to protect our wood and tile floors as well as putting tarps down in the garage where they were entering the house. Doug did a wonderful job of supervising all aspects of the job. The end product exceeded our expectations. Unlike many contactors we have had, their cleanup was exceptional. Without hesitation we would recommend him to family and friends. And we will be hiring him again to remove popcorn in additional rooms.

Doug was awesome!! He gives fair pricing and goes above and beyond in his work. He cares about his clients and the job that he’s doing. We were extremely impressed with not only how great the job looks but also fast he was able to complete it! We had to knock down a few walls and he even came a few days earlier to lend us his tools. DHI, LLC removed the popcorn from almost 2000 square feet of ceiling. they then smoothed them, textured them and repainted them. The result was amazingly beautiful. Not only did they create generally beautiful ceilings (the popcorn had begun to come off in many places in the house) but they then replaced about 20 lights. the repositioned them so that the fans did not create a strobe effect and assured that the lights covered the spaces. This was a great deal of work as Doug removed existing poor lights, measured the best positioning for the new lights, fixed the holes in the ceiling and then installed the new lights. the lights themselves are an addition that i did not know would make as much difference as they did. The transformation was amazing and more than worth the price. I have seen the comments on the attention to detail - this does not begin to tell the story. Anyone who is considering a remodel should definitely use Doug! He is also very fast. I did not know what to expect and he was willing to walk me through every step of the transformation!

Doug was tremendous! His work and attention to detail was outstanding. We had him remove the popcorn ceiling in our entire house prior to moving in. He was flexible and worked with us through the closing process to get on his schedule. Most of all, he was a pleasure to work with and he produced a wonderful product.

We contacted Doug Huitt to quote having popcorn ceilings removed from our kitchen and family room along with removal of old ceiling lighting and putting in new LED ceiling lighting above the kitchen counter and in the family room. We also wanted a kitchen ceiling light moved about a foot from the original placement and painting of the family room. Doug was very professional when he came to our house. He detailed everything his company would do and promised the job would be clean. We were a little concerned because we had heard how messy popcorn ceiling removal can be. He gave us a quick lesson on different paints and why he uses Behr paint when painting the ceiling and walls. We had questions before making our decision and Doug responded promptly. He came back out to the house and showed us the lights he would be installing. Doug told us the job would take 5 days and they would be at our house at 7:30 am and out of our home by 3:00 pm every day. He was true to his word. The team Doug works with were as professional as he is. Doug and Robert showed up at 7:30 am and helped us move a few heavy items from our family room, they then proceeded to cover our floors and cabinets. (If you want something from your upper cabinets, I advise you to get what you need before they place plastic covering over the cabinets). We were really impressed with how clean they kept the area. At the end of the day, they uncovered the kitchen counters and lower cabinets and wiped everything down, so I was able to prepare dinner without too much trouble. Our ceilings and walls came out beautiful. The ceilings are a pristine white with a knock down texture, we are so happy with the results. On Friday they completed the job, removed the floor covering and washed the floors. Doug also offered to help move our furniture back into the family room. We highly recommend DHI for popcorn ceiling removal and painting. We will be contacting Doug when we are ready to have the rest of our popcorn ceilings removed.

Doug was outstanding to work with! I was coordinating my project from out of state and Doug was responsive and flexible as the project changed. I had all my popcorn ceilings removed, 40 feet of floor to ceiling mirrors removed and the walls retextured. I cannot say enough about the quality of work and that it was finished ahead of schedule! They show on time every day, very friendly and did a fantastic job on 1700 square ft townhouse . They promised it would done in 6 days and told me that they clean up when there done. As far as I am concerned they went 150% on my home. They got it done in 5 days and they clean everything up as if it was there home. I couldnâ t have ask for anything else as it was perfect, I am having them come in December or January when the weather cools off to do my garage. They are great people you canâ t go wrong

Full service and professional. Removed 1980s popcorn ceilings in entire house including closets and garage. Repaired as needed. Painted the new knockdown ceiling finish. Our house looks clean, bright, and updated. Highly recommend because Doug is the ceiling expert.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Doug and his hand selected/trained assistant are just slap out of sight! Excellent on all fronts. A true team of craftsmanship on display. Very professional, timely, trustworthy, nice, etc. - under promise and over perform must be his motto.

We had contacted DHI after the individual we hired canceled on us at 4:30pm the evening before he was about to start. DHI was incredibly understanding of our situation and agreed to come out the next morning. We wanted to popcorn ceiling removed from the home we had literally just purchased. We were on a tight timeline since we had hired movers and I had a date to process for work and needed to ceiling done within a week. DHI was able to come through and also agreed to install the ceiling fans I was having delivered. We have 15ft ceilings throughout the house so this was not a simple task. The ceilings were able to be completed on schedule and looked amazing, especially compared to the popcorn that was there previous. I would highly recommend this company. The owner was very attentive and answered every time my husband called with a question. DHI made what started off as a terrible and stressful situation manageable. They even made helpful recommendations for my lighting needs which added that extra touch to the new ceiling!

I contacted Doug Huitt, the owner, and he said he would be happy to help but his schedule was full until mid August. He recommended I use one of his staff, Tommy. He forwarded my information to him and he called me pronto. He came out, gave us an estimate and we hired him. Very professional!!! He came out when he said he would, got right to work and fixed the ceiling that the "handyman" left in a horrible mess. Came out the next day to paint. Everything was taped and had plastic draped around all the cabinets. The ceiling looks amazing!!! Looks like brand new and I guess in essence it is brand new. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with Tommy's work and the help of DHI LLC. We highly highly recommend them. Professional, neat and timely. Cleaned up everything. Drop clothes were put down from the entrance, through the hall and in the kitchen. If I ever need ceiling work done again you can bet I'll be calling DHI LLC.

We set up an appointment with Doug to come out and give us an estimate to remove popcorn ceiling and replace it with knock-down. His price was reasonable so we hired him to do the job. He showed up on time and did an excellent work. He did a nice clean up when the job was done.
