We were going to have the pipes jet cleaned but after inspection it was determined that due to the way the plumbing was installed that they could not guarantee the service. They gave me a price quote to re-pipe the house but we decided to just have them fix the clog and revisit the problem in the future. They are very profesional and were good at explaining the problem. I will use them again when we decide to replace out pipeing.

I was very pleased with the work that was done. I signed up for their service program which covers all emergencies and inspections and did not feel forced to do so. I will most definitely use them again in the future.

I had a problem with a water leak from the faucet which feeds my refrigerator. Mat, the technician, showed up promptly and took care of the problem immediately. He was courteous and professional. It was a very good experience. I will use this company again for future plumbing problems.

When we began seeking quotes from plumbers in the Tampa area we struggled to find a company that would provide a quote; and if they did provide a quote the cost included dry wall repairs and additional labor costs which exceeded $2400. This process took several months and we were frustrated that it had taken us so long to find a plumber that would do the work let alone avoid the cost of dry wall/paint repairs after they replaced the tank. When we contacted Red Cap plumbing; I was skeptical and requested that they provide an estimate due to the location of the tank. Most plumbers refuse to provide estimates in person for this work and prefered to give you a range of the cost over the phone. Red Cap scheduled a free estimate appointment immediately and assigned to Willie. Willie met with us to provide a quote for the work; he was optimistic that he could replace the tank with no extra costs. During his visit I was still skeptical that he could get the old tank out of the house as it didn't look possible and Willie simply stated I welcome challenges and usually when another plumber said they can't do something he finds the way he can complete the job. After our meeting I still feared we would still be faced with additional costs to cut into the drywall to remove the unit, but agreed to move forward with Red Cap because he convinced me that he believed he could complete the work and no other plumber had demonstrated that positive attitude. The day the service was scheduled Willie arrived on time and went immediately to work to drain the old tank before removing it; he then was very meticulous with removing the old tank so that no marks were made on the surrounding walls. Willie also recommended to install a drain pan and offered a service plan to minimize future plumbing expenses. This experience was the best possible outcome when we were faced with removing dry wall to remove and replace a new unit.

Red Cap is the absolute best in the business. I would use no one else.

The entire service took approx one hour. The price was a little more expensive than some of the other companies that I called, but the professional and courteous service was well worth the price.

It went great. They had to make a special pickup to acquire the toilet but all was done in a single morning.

They replaced the shaft. It was a quick fix and it was reasonable. He was in and out and very friendly.

Call Red Cap Plumbing based on their recommendations from Angie's List. They initially came out on 2/20/13 to perform inspection/identify leak source and made recommendations of several ways to fix. On 2/26/13 they returned to complete the agreed work.

I called Red Cap at Noon and was told a plumber could be at our home between 2pm and 4pm. I was told there was a $29.95 charge for coming but that would be waived if the plumber did work. I agreed. The plumber showed up close to 4:30 and then sat in his van for over 5 minutes drinking a soda and "playing" with paperwork. When he came into our home he was a bit slow and brought no tools. I showed him where the disposal was leaking (we had the cabinet totally cleaned out so he had easy access). The shock came when he came back in with his tools and a spiral notebook which he used to show us the price to re-install the disposal, $194! But, if we paid $94 dollars to join a "Red Cap Membership" the cost would be $164. So, by paying $258 our warranty would be two years vs one year which I get from AMEX anyway. I almost fell over. He was trying to up-sell us and all I wanted was a repair done. I pulled out a $30 coupon and gave it to him and instructed him to get started as we had somewhere to be. I declined to pay into a membership of any kind to get a reduction of an over-inflated price since I had a coupon and a two year warranty anyway. I said the price was not in line with the work needed but felt we needed to proceed anyway. He could tell I was not happy but began to work. I told my wife I thought the job would take 45 minutes once he started and that is exactly how long it took. So, I paid $164 (after using my coupon) for this plumber to remove and re-install a disposal in under an hour. The kicker for me was when he told me, in front of my wife, that he knew we would not be using his company again so he recommended the name of a competitor for the next time we needed a plumber as they only charge by the hour! We were shocked. Basically this was total failure with the exception the disposal leak was repaired and on a Saturday when we badly needed that. The plumber was late, slow, the price was out of line with the work needed and Red Cap's approach to up-selling was not appreciated.

I called Red Cap Plumbing the day before we were scheduled to leave on vacation due to a plumbing issue. They were able to accommodate our tight timeline, and arrived first thing the next day. Their crew are professional, and quickly assessed the issue. The provided a clear quote that included several options. Once we selected the option we wanted to correct the issue, they immediately got to work. They also called their manager to have him show up to camera snake the sewer line. They had everything done and cleaned up in no time, and did not impact our vacation at all. This is an extremely professional company that does a great job. Very satisfied with the work performed. Update: 3-19-13 - Turns out that in the course of locating the sewage line in my front yard, they accidentally punctured my sprinkler line. I called them, and they sent out the technician again first thing the next day. He quickly replaced the broken sprinkler line. Can't ask for better customer service than that. I have found my plumbing company.

Scheduling the service was easy and staff was very responsive. Service date was scheduled and technician arrived on time. He was professional, effeciant and thorough. The company required unnecessay written estimate options which made the visit too long. He was clean while doing and completing the service. I will continue to use this company.

The reason for the call was for them to fix my water softener. I already knew what was wrong with it when I called and informed them of the problem over the phone. When the technician got here, I showed him the water heater. He told me what was wrong with it within five minutes, which was the same thing I had told them over the phone. He said the best thing was to replace the water softener. He tried selling me his water softener. The price he gave me was exorbitant. I told him I was surprised he would have even come out if he knew that the type of problem was not fixable as I had told them what was wrong over the phone. I told him I did not want him to replace the water softener, I just wanted him to fix it. He then wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee. What we came out to was that I could go buy a water softener and he could install it. I went to buy a water softener from Lowe's. While I was at Lowe's, I noticed that they had a deal for installation with a water softener purchase. I called my wife to tell the technician that I did not need him to do the work and he said that he already took my water softener apart so I would have to pay him for that which ended up being almost as much as the whole installation. It wasn't a great experience. I bought the water softener, he did put it in, it works fine. He wore the booties when he came in, all those things were great but it came down to what and how they were trying to charge me. With them I kind of felt that, number one, their price was exorbitant; and, number two, they knew the problem before they came out so they should have been up front before coming out and let me know it was not a fixable issue without replacement.

Carl was very prompt and . He arrived within an hour from being called and performed all work professionally and quickly.

Services went very well from start to finish. No issues. They showed up when they said they would and gave me a full disclosure of all work and pricing.

We had recently had a kitchen remodel and I decided I wanted a 3-bowl sink in place of the old 2-bowl sink. My contractor said, "no problem", but, of course, he wasn't going to hook it up to the drains. We put the new sink in the same size sink base cabinet, 36", as the old 2-bowl sink. Not only was there an additional bowl on the new sink, but the bowls were deeper. After the remodelling was completed, we looked under the sink and were wondering how in the world we'd get everything hooked up under there because there just wasn't much room. My DIY husband had begun hooking things up using a flexible hose, but he agreed that this was a job better left to professionals as the flexible hose was just an eventual invitation to mold and smelly drains. We called Red Cap Plumbing and they were able to come out the next day. Jack showed up right on time. He was very courteous and insisted on wearing his red shoe covers even though I told him it wasn't necessary as we had removed our flooring in preparation of putting down new flooring. He was a little taken aback by how little room was available to hook up the drains, reverse osmosis unit and the disposal. He investigated everything that needed to be done, devised a plan, got the parts and went to work. It took a few hours, but when he had completed the job there was still room under the sink for my dish drainer, a shelf on which I placed the dishwasher detergent, some utility cloths, scrub brushes, and dishwashing soap. I would never have believed there would have been that much space available. The plumbing looked very neat and everything works great. I could not be more pleased. Jack is a very impressive professional plumber and a genuinely nice young man. Red Cap Plumbing is fortunate to have him working with their company. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

Very impressive company. We arranged a time for a technician to come by and check my noisy water heater. The office called to make sure I was home and that this was still a good time. Then, before he arrived, they sent an email with the tech's picture and some additional information. Also, they waived the service call fee. The $94 I spent was for an annual support contract, which was simply mentioned by the tech, but he never tried to sell anything, simply told me what they offered. Having had less than satisfactory service from several local plumbers, I'm glad to have found Red Cap.

I came home from work to find my garage covered in water. Upon inspection it appeared as though it was coming from the washing machine but instead it was coming from the wall behind the washing machine. After taking the drywall off I found I pipe had fractured and was now a sprinkler. Red Cap Plumbing was prompt, friendly, and affordable. Would I use them again? Absolutely, and will be calling them tomorrow for a clogged line.

They were readily available, showed up on time, had a selection of alternatives. I chose the mid-priced replacement solution which was installed quickly and the place was clean and operative.

He was very thorough and gave us several prices on the repair. He was quick and efficient and very polite. He left everything neat and clean the the commode works very well.

I made the mistake of trusting this company because they were well rated on Angie's List. I accepted a verbal estimate rather than requesting a written, which was a mistake. The verbal estimate was for $400. They did not detail what they were going to do and not do. They pulled out my vanity and left it in my hallway, saying that they didn't put things back in place once the repair was done. That was his response to me questioning why it was still in the hallway. I called their management saying that I wanted an itemized invoice because I couldn't figure out how the price of the job doubled and I had a vanity in my hallway. It took them two months to get it to me, but it took me repeatedly calling. I wouldn't recommend this company.

Awesome service. took almost 2 hours but he did a great job!!!

Curtis did the work. He diagnosed it quickly but it was late in the day and the job was big enough he had to come back the following day. He explained in detail the problem (which was the result of a poor quality re-habilitation of the bathroom before we bought the house). He did the job faster than expected and sent photos of the work before, during and after the work which was very helpful since we were not able to be there on site. He was very friendly, professional and did great work. He also helped us get a better rate by joining their service program.

Vladimir, the technician, said he couldn't find it and they would have to send out a Leak Locator, a completely different company. This company came out the next day and found the issue. He explained it's not a huge deal, either right below or above the slab. Vladimir came back after the Leak Locator company was here to follow-up to see where the wall was. Instead of looking at this hole in the wall and the issue itself, he proceeded to come in to see all of the piping in the kitchen and bathrooms. He was saying instead of digging up the floor/slab in the house, we could just re-pipe the whole house. He told us that re-piping the entire house would be the best option for the issue. He said if you fix just the leak, it's fine, but you may have another leak in a few months. Really he didn't look at the issue, he went straight in the house to look at everything else. He wanted to simply re-pipe the whole house. He offered me $3200 for re-pipe. I called a few other options and those other options came out and fixed the issue for $300.
