 + -1 moreIt all went well. Some days they were at our house for 14 hours to get the job done within the estimated time. They never seemed to take a break! We both worked, and felt no hesitation at giving them free reign. We have yet to have a better experience with construction than this one, would use again in a heartbeat! If they had an A+ category, they would get it!
Description of Work: We wanted a bathroom in our basement, which was starting from scratch without plumbing, walls, etc. We had two estimates that were higher than we'd expected, and all the time heard how much work and difficult the job would be. Third time's a charm. We found ACH group on Angie's List, and heard back from Pavel within a day. He made an appointment to give us an estimate, and arrived on time with references, pictures from previous jobs and a quote that was not only great, but made with enthusiasm that the job would not take too long and would be easy. What impressed us most was the education Pavel gave us on our rights, and his insistence that we call his references from previous jobs. His professionalism and confidence in his ability to do the best job at the best price, was irresistible. Although the work was performed during the holiday season, Pavel and his workers were tireless workers. Their European work ethic puts many American workers to shame. They were super tidy, courteous and conscientious. The end result was an original design that fit the space perfectly. If we could build a house by this company, we'd do it in a heartbeat! It is without any hesitation that we wholeheartedly recommend Pavel and the ACH Group. One word: AWESOME!

 + -1 moreI don’t have any problem with them. Sometimes they are slow birds. I don’t have any bugs anymore. I don’t think you can get this job done for any cheaper. I think they are very fair in their price. His prices have been stable. They show up the day they say they are going to be here. They are very professional.

 + -1 moreIt did not go very well. They came promptly after the new sod was installed and sprayed for bugs. Within a week or two the sod was beginning to die. I communicated with Bay Area that this was happening and they sent another guy out to spray again for bugs. The treatments did not seem to make a difference. The lawn then started to show signs of leaf spot (fungus) I notified the Co. and sent photos. They took over a week to respond and by then the grass had taken a severe down turn. Over 60% of our grass has died. We of course were upset and wanted answers. They then pointed fingers at the sod people, if in fact the Sod was bad sod they shouldn't have sprayed in the first place and should have notified us immediately about the problem. It wasn't that they weren't trying, I just expect more from a company who is supposed to be an expert in this field. I believe that Bay Area was either not able to identify the problem with the lawn, or that they did not respond to the problem in a timely fashion, resulting in the death of our lawn.
Description of Work: They were hired to care for our new lawn. They agreed to treat as necessary for bugs, fungus, and weeds. They came out numerous times and sprayed our lawn with various chemicals.

gutter cleaning
 + -1 moreThe worker arrived on the appointed day. He quickly and efficiently cleaned the gutters, removed the gutter covers and installed the new gutter and the new piece to fix the problem of rain water running over the side of the house. The gutters were tested the very next day because we had a very bad rain storn with tornado like winds. After this storm, we had downed tree limbs and more tree branches in our gutters. I called Marvin and asked if he could give me a price on removing the debris from the gutters. Since it was only two days after my original cleaning, he said he would remove the additional debris in the gutters at no charge. His workers arrived and not only re-cleaned the gutters, but they also removed tree branches from around the house. In my opinion, this is A+ service. It was a pleasure working with Marvin and his entire crew. I will definitely use them for my future gutter cleaning as well as for any future roofing needs.
Description of Work: We had gutter covers and the gutters were no longer catching water so I assumed they were filled with debris. We also needed to replace a gutter that had been damaged and removed due to an ice dam this past winter. In addition, there was a problem on one side of the house where water ran over the side of the house instead of into the guttter. I asked M.G. Roofing to provide an estimate on removing the gutter covers, replacing the missing gutter, cleaning the gutters and also to assess if we needed new gutters. Marvin Garcilazo promptly responded to my call and scheduled a time to come by. He agreed to replace the damaged gutter, remove the gutter covers and clean the gutters. He also said we did not need new gutters. He recommended against gutter covers because of the steepness of our roof. He also identified a problem with the design of the house that was causing water to run over the side of the house and said he could create a gutter extension to alleviate this problem.

 + -1 moreI was having a specific insect problem and found this company to have the more reasonable price out of 3 others (before I was an AL member). First guy came out, just did the normal spray around the house type stuff, didn't even look for the problem. Was here and gone in 15 minutes. Waited a week to see if he took care of the problem but not to my surprise he didn't. Called the company and told them they needed to send someone that would take care of the issue. They sent the other tech out, he did a good job, found the source and took care of it. About 9 months later I started having a rat problem. I mentioned it to the tech and showed him some areas of concern, he simply told me I needed to block the holes off. Couple more months went by, issue still existed, tech filled a couple holes and was packing up to leave, I asked about setting traps and doing something to get rid of them. The reply I got was "I'm not a trap checker". Needless to say I took care of the problem myself and won't be renewing my contract.

The junk team came in and told me that the best way to do the job was for me to just take out what I wanted, and they would return the next day and remove EVERYTHING else. I was AMAZED that they did it in less than 2 hours. They were very friendly, easy to schedule with, and reliable. The owner has local roots. I would use them again if I ever had to. The price is dependent on how much space your JUNK takes up in trunk. They are a GREAT COMPANY!!

HE SAID THEY WOULD SEND SOMEONE TO SPRAY THE SEWER TRAPS AND THE CEILING, BUT WHEN HE CAME HE SAID HE ONLY WAS THERE TO DO THE CEILING. HE GOT UP WITH THE LADDER AND SAID THAT HE SPRAYED AND I DIDN'T SEE HIM DO IT OR SMELL ANYTHING AND SAID NO WHEN HE REQUESTED THE PAYMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL $184. HE SAID THAT HE DID THE WORK AND I DIDN'T PAY HIM, BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A CANISTER OR ANYTHING WITH HIM. HIS BOSS CALLED ASKING WHY I DIDN'T WANT THE WORK DONE. RECENTLY I CAME HOME TO A BILL THAT THEY SPRAYED AND I OWED THEM $120. I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH ROBERT SAID TO TAKE ME OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM, HE ASKED WHAT THEY COULD DO TO SATISFY ME. ROBERT CAME OUT AND CHECKED THE WORK BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THEY DID ALL OF THE WORK, ENDED UP CRACKING MY WATER PUMP THAT COST ME $150 TO GET FIXED AND WOULDN'T PAY FOR THE REPAIR.
Description of Work: Inspected for termites - They said that I had termite damage and sprayed for termites. It was supposed to be a team of an experienced person and an apprentice, and they sent just the apprentice. He was reading and re-reading directions the whole time. I had to run an errand and said that he could work on it while I was gone, and when I came back he had made holes in my porch (in the concrete) to spray instead of drilling close to the ground where the termites live.

Description of Work: I had an overflowing gutter (moss collected on roof) and I called for service-with all the rain we have been having (it is getting old,isn't it?) I was lucky to get someone out quickly as he is 3 weeks booked. Came out on a Saturday.
