In October I spoke with one of the owners, Mark, and sent pics of what needed to be done. I received a quote of $450., and gave Alumflo the job. We scheduled the work in a reasonable period of time, especially considering all the Irma repair work going on. The work was done on 10/26, and looked good. However, less than 2 months after a section of the soffit popped out of the channel. I called Mark snd sent him photos, and then he got the same guy that did the job the first time to contact me, which he did promptly. That person told me it would cost $100 to fix it. I told him I thought Alumflo should stand behind his work, and that I didn’t think it was right to pay again, but I was over a barrel, and would pay. He was scheduled to come out 3 days in a row, and never showed, nor would he respond to my texts. At this point my review went from A to F. Then I called Mark to tell him what wad going on. He agreed that I shouldn’t have to pay, and set up the repair job quickly at no additional charge. At this point, the review grade went back to A. Bottom line, this is a family run business, and they are sensitive and fair to their customers. Mark made sure I was taken care of, and satisfied. There were bumps in the road, but I am satisfied, and will use Alumflo next time I need aluminum work done. I believe they tun their business the right way.
Description of Work: Irma took out our roof, plus @20 soffit on the north side of our house on 9/11/17. Our house us 3 stories. Our soffit is about 28 feet high. It was hard to find a company that would go that high, especially since Irma took out so many one story homes. I called several companies on Angie’s list, plus other sources. Alumflo was the only company that was interested in the job.

Ernie gave me a quote for both. I recently got some money together and wanted to start with the repair before doing the windows replacement, so I contacted this company. I called early last week, Ernie called me back and said someone would contact me to make an appointment. Never got another call. So I called and left a voicemail. No call back. Then on May 6th, I emailed them to follow up. There was never any mention that the price of repair was contingent on agreement to the rest of the job. But that was not the issue. Here is my email with the company. You decide for yourself: Steve, What really bothers me is no one had the SIMPLE COURTESY to call me. Especially after I left 2 voice mails this morning. And prior to that, I was expecting a phone call to make an appointment after Ernie told me that someone would call. I was following up because no one called me. And then I'm told in a bloody email message that you don't want the job at all. I still need the windows done, and if the quote was conditional, I would have worked with you on it. Or maybe I would have paid you $350 a door. But you didn't call me to figure it out. I actually re-fied my home recently and put aside at least $2000 so that I could pay you for the job once I got the rest. So we were pretty much ready to do the job, then I get this email: "After showing to my boss what you wanted done he has declined. We aren't interested in doing the wood cap that price was with the windows. Thank you, Ernie" So Ernie just told me that you don't want my business. I called this morning to give you an opportunity to CALL ME and fix this, and here I am with another email instead. I find it wholly disrespectful. I just went through 9 months of **** with a bad window contractor, and you were recommended by Eastern. Just to put things in context, I have not even entertained any other quotes for the rest of my windows. You were the only contractor I wanted to do my windows. Not anymore. What this series of events tells me is that you don't care about your customers. So be it. I'll move on, thanks and good luck with your business. I am going to be calling Eastern to find another contractor now. On Wed, May 10, 2017 at 10:30 AM, wrote: We gave you the price for wrapping the wood based on doing the windows at the same time. While we are there it is easier to complete both jobs. The price would change if we are coming just to change the bottom of doors. We have to pull the doors out and remove tracks. If we come out just for that it is 350.00 each door. Steve
Description of Work: I needed new windows. I also needed repairs to windows that were installed by another (bad) contractor.

Ernie came out to look at our project & quoted around $400. He mentioned that he needed to check with his boss to see if it would be possible and said he would get back to my husband that very same day. We never heard from him & he never returned my husbands 3 messages. When I finally reached him he said his boss didn't get back to him & was not excited or interested in our project. Never gave us the courtesy of getting back to us so we could look for someone else to handle what we needed. Would never contact this company again.
Description of Work: Asked for a quote to replace an aluminium door to our patio or to turn it into an outswing door.
