VSL Computer services

It went great! He was on time and really took his time in explaining what he was doing and my different options. Additionally, he advised I wait on certain things instead of purchasing them at this time to see if I really needed to or if I would be fine using the ones that came with the computer. Really appreciated his guidance.

I was unable to download printer and Kodak programs to a new computer. VSL services was quick to set up an appointment for a house call that day. Sheldon arrived on time, got right to work and was able to solve my problems. I appreciated his skill and professionalism and would not hesitate to use his service again.

He came as he indicated and went away with my CPU as to remove contents from my hard drive (I was unsure of why it just stopped but I was assuming it was the motherboard). He was polite, professional, and quite knowledgeable and actually opened the box here in my home and showed me the fried motherboard. I felt confident when he left that he would know exactly what to do. He was able to get all the contents from my hard drive onto a portable hard drive. This was a much larger hard drive than I believe he thought would be necessary. When he returned he had priced the service (as quoted) and gave me the option of paying for the drive if I chose since it was not indicated or quoted while he was in my home as an additional fee. I have since been able to retrieve my vital files. I am MORE THAN SATISFIED with the services of VSL and would recommend and use them again if I needed.

After having my computer "fixed" by Office Depot the week before, I decided to call VSL. I am new to Angie's list and I'm very impressed at the work that was done to my computer. It's working like it did when I first bought it.

It took Sheldon about 15 minutes to fix the pc (a Dell Optiplex 755) and began the installation of 2.5 hours of updates. We discussed the options and I decided to install the updates myself. When all the updates were installed I discovered that the speakers did not work and called VSL again that afternoon. A tech came out and was able to install the necessary drivers. I'm not much when it comes to pc repair, as I've proven, and it's a blessing to be able to call a knowledgeable IT and have the repairs done on site. I will call VSL in the future, before I get in over my head!

They called and came out right away. It was nice not to have to haul my computer to them, and I knew I would have my computer up and running the same day. Much much better than taking it somewhere to have it worked on and wait 3-5 days to get it back. The cost was worth it for that reason. VSL is in my contact list now. Hopefully I won't need them often, but I know who to call when I do. Irene

I was having issues with accessing my browsers (aol,firefox) I was also getting an error message that I was unable to remove from the screen. VSL was called and Sheldon showed up promply as scheduled. I identified the problem and he went right to work. While the system worked ok after the repair there were still some issuesI was perplexed about and a very long list of able/disable items that I had to figure out so I asked Sheldon to take the computer with him. I am not computer illiterate but I have an idea when I should stop digging. I also asked him to check my "system restore" which would give me only one restore date. I have used the services of VSL on two other occasions over the years. Sheldon is always friendly ,courteous and respectful. He also makes quick assessments, explains what he has found and sets about doing the job in a professional manner. I would, and will, reccomend VSL to my friends.

The service was performed in a timely and professional manner. It was fairly priced. We are llikely to use VSL services again in the future.

I called the office on Thursday and Sheldon was out Friday afternoon. I briefly outlined my problems to the nice office manager, and she set up an appointment immediately. Sheldon arrived ahead of schedule and had me up and running in about an hour. After he had left, I gave my computer a thorough work out, visiting past websites, etc. I was so pleased with the result, no problems and much faster than before. Sheldon offered advice about a software program I was using, very helpful to know, and it will save me money to boot. I am so glad that there is this type of personal, professional service available in this area.

The owner was the one who visited. While he was low key in his overall demeanor, he was also pleasant to interact with the entire time. Too, he showed an understanding for my situation and what I needed to have done. He spent just the right amount of time both professionally and on a personal level. I would easily utilize him again as well as recommend to others to use.

I was experiencing intermittent issues with sending email from my Outlook program. Sheldon arrived on time, assessed the issue and returned the next morning to complete the repairs. Being that the issue was intermittent, it makes the problem difficult to diagnose, but it appears the issue has been resolved. Normally, by this time of day, I would have had to restart my computer once, if not twice! So far, so good! Thank you for all of your help!

Everything went well. He arrived right on time, took the computer, did his thing and returned it several days later. Sheldon reconnected the computer and made sure we were satisfied with the end result. It worked great...no more issues!

It went well. I was delighted with the results. it was the second time I used VSL Services. Last year Sheldon removed viruses which had paralyzed my laptop. At about $170 it wasn't cheap but it did totally restore the computer and Sheldon picked up and delivered.

We were quite concerned with the crash of the hard drive. He was able to work on the old computer and install a new hard drive. Kept me posted via e-mail and again was timely in his response. He delivered the computer and then hooked everything back up. Very happy with his work and would recommend highly. We did not loose any important material including photos.

On a weekend my hard drive appeared to shut down and I could do nothing. VSL came right out within hours and determined it was a virus. He took the computer with him, repaired it within a few days and returned to reinstall it. I'm using it right now. Even though I was very stressed about losing all the data, he was very reassuring and professional and made me confident that the problem could be fixed.

I contacted the office, spoke with Maggie, she was professional and gave a very realistic estimate of labor. She said Sheldon could come out in a few hours and he arrived in that interval. He worked on 2 computers and got them going so much faster. I would highly recommend their service.

The virus also infected the antivirus I was advised to install and after they took care of the problem and it was fine. I talked to the receptionist there and told her about the virus I had on my computer and she said that they were familiar with it. I spent $171 on that service I think and I had a 10 % discount for being on the list.
