Frank Smith missed our appointment to fix blocked drains. He did not reply to numerous voicemails or texts. Finally he contacted me saying he forgot. When he did visit, he did not bring the right tools but spent 2 hours to show he was trying to fix the drains . He kept asking me if I had one part or another that he could borrow. Why would I have spare parts that a plumber uses? Without the right tools the visit was useless except he charged me for his time. As he did not have the right tools the first visit, he told me he had to come back the next day. The 2nd visit he brought a helper but still did not bring the right tools so would need to come back a 3rd time with the right tools. For 9 hours of his time @ $100 per hour and 2 helpers that werent' needed at $20 an hour, according to him, he ended up charging me $1,600. The $100 per hour is not unreasonable but padding out time and wasting time and visits because unprepared is ********. This man is an unprofessional con man.

Frank seemingly cleared a clogged drain for me. Two days later the drain overflowed again. I called Frank and he returned the next day and using a slightly bigger head on the snake cleared it again free of charge. About five days later the drain was again clogged. Reluctantly, I called Frank again and left a message, but he didn't return my call. I waited two days and with no response from Frank, I decided to hire another plumber. This plumber initially used the same equipment as Frank to clear the clog and then performed the same procedure again using a bigger head to ensure a thorough clearing of the drain which is a step Frank never took. Apparently this was the crucial step since the drain has been clear for over two weeks. Subsequently, I phoned Frank again and left a message asking why he never returned my call. Once more he didn't return my call. I called again and this time left a message that if I didn't here from him I would reluctantly feel obligated to post a negative review on HomeAdvisor. This time he returned my call and stated that he hadn't returned my calls because he was too busy. When I asked why he didn't use the larger head to complete the process, he stated that he didn't have one. When I broached the subject of a partial refund, he hung up on me. I hate writing this review, but, since I hired Frank based on the very positive reviews posted on HomeAdvisor, I feel obligated to offer my contrary evaluation. And who knows? Perhaps my experience is just a Covid-19 induced aberration, but, when in need of additional plumbing service, I will definitely contact the second plumber.

Easy to work with

Frank was punctual, professional with a pleasant attitude. We had three plugged drains and a leaking toilet . All four services were done expediently and successfully. Definitely recommend Frank as he was honest and transparent about costs. Thanks Frank !

Frank was on time, and in and out in about an hour. His work is thorough and exceptional. He advised me on how to maintain health drain system going forward since the problem was scale in the vent pipe leading up through the roof. The thing that most impressed me was his honesty.

Frank showed up when he said he would. Did a fantastic job at half the price I had paid others. I will be using him again. great Guy.

He showed up on time but in hindsight not prepared. The disgusting mess he made all over my bathroom, on the cabinets and baseboards, then dragged disgusting toilet water over my bedroom carpet, through my den, over my patio carpet and left stool drenched water through my carport and down the driveway. I am disabled, cannot kneel or bend at my waist due to double rods in my back and he made a half ass attempt to clean up. For all this he said the charge would be $175 to open the drains on the phone but once here he said and $250 because he had to remove the toilet to snake the lines out. He did not bring any towels and used a bunch of mine and did not bother to do much as rinse or wring them out. He did not have a tarp or garbage bags to put his snake in and asked me for a garbage bag... after he already dragged the sh**** water through all the rooms and outside. I spent six hours cleaning up and besides my disabilities, I have bronchitis and he knew this. I am so disgusted I could spit nails.

Had to come back a week later to repeat the process, but so far so good. May have cast iron pipe problem, which complicates the issues I have.

Frank is an experienced drain plumber who is very quick at calling you back and at having the job done. His fee is very reasonable. He is very easy to talk to and to discuss about the job. He was on time and professional. He explained what he thought was the problem and how to tackle it.

Capable but expensive

Frank, not only cleaned out the old drain but rebuilt with new pvc piping under sink to allow better flow. Awesome job and HIGHLY recommended. His dad was welcome to keep him company, two Jems!!!!!! Thank you again.....!!
