Frankly, I was shocked at the estimate price as we hadn't even gotten to looking at cabinets, or any design elements. I asked for an explanation of the high cost and was told he would get back to me and has not. One of our walls was an angled wall and part of the estimate included making a straight wall. I expected an estimate higher than a usual kitchen remodel, but not this high. The wall was non-bearing and was only being moved approx 3 inches. We never discussed cabinets, counter tops,? flooring, sink or lighting and the estimate was over $40,000 for a small kitchen space.

Getting the plans went OK but the follow up to getting the job done was slow so I decided to postpone the work to sometime in the future which is where it is now

They were very good in terms of scheduling. We discussed plans for remodeling the bathroom. The service was a little disappointing. I received the plans but they were not as unique as I hoped. They were also delayed in getting the plans back to me.

He arrived as scheduled. Took measurements. Came back several weeks later with designs. Measurements were off. Remeasured. He couldn't find anyone to make the drawers I wanted (to accommodate the pipes under the sink). Long delay since last time he was in touch. I've done some legwork myself and decided on what I want, but no word from him except that he'd been sick for 10 days. It's been 4 months, I believe, since we started. I think he could do a good job but he doesn't seem interested.

It took several calls before the guy actually came and the feeling I got was it was an Angie's List special but he was not really interested. He took loads of measurements and gave me a couple of drawings that didn't look anything like what I had requested and in fact I would and could have created more professional drawings myself.

They came to look at the area, but since they are unfamiliar with the building they were not sure what they could or could not do. They did take measurements and sent me some preliminary sketches but there was never any follow-up. I went with someone who knows the building/codes etc. and have been very happy with the service so far.

He did a wonderful job for me. I was very happy with him.

Representative arrived on time and was professional. Drawings were supposed to be emailed within the week, and had to contact them when they did not arrive after that time.

Stephen is by far the best contractor I have ever used. Not only does he show up on time, take care of everything exactly as he said he would, but he is someone I can trust to be kind to and careful with my animals. I gave him a key to my home and he comes and goes as needed. I trust him completely. I have referred him to many friends and all have been as delighted with his work as I am.

He came out and arrived on time for the estimate. I never heard from him again nor did I receive an estimated price. I moved on to another.

It went really well. He was very nice and considerate of our home. He was neat and clean. He came when he was supposed to and even called when he was on his way. I was happy, overall, and would hire him again.

Stephen was quick in responding with his quote for the work. He was also very responsive when I'd call to ask questions or discuss things with him. He always showed up on days he was scheduled to work on our project. Stephen created a beautiful guest bathroom. He performed all facets of the construction except the plumbing. He built a knee wall, installed the vanity, helped install the drywall and durarock, framed out the shower and laid all the wall and floor tile. He provided the name of the cabinet company that we used for the vanity and the granite company. He coordinated with the plumber and dry wall installer to complete the project. Stephen worked closely with me throughout the project to make sure things were done to my satisfaction. We are very happy with the results. The project finished in line with Stephen's initial dollar quote, but he underestimated the time that the project would take, so the work stretched out longer than we expected.

He did a great job, he's fine, everything worked without a question. The price was reasonable, it was great.

When you start with the bright idea of remodeling a 60 year old house - my first advice is DON'T. If you are convinced that you have had enough surprises as things fall apart, make you hire someone who knows what they are doing - and what other trades will have to do to finish the job. The project was started with an expected time line of 12-18 months. That was two years ago January. I began without the benefit of Angie's List and went through three carpenters, two contractors and two electricians. Finding a generalist with lots of experience and patience can save a lot of time - & MONEY. Things are within a few weeks of completion and I still have money and hair left!

Stephen worked on the project and did the install, the installation was flawless. He was always on time, his work excellent and keep in touch with the other contractors on the project. It all went very smoothly. He worked with Kitchens By George and between them my place looks fantastic. The work was done when promised and I had "zero" problems.

They were not good. He wasn't dependable. He replaced a bathroom door with a defective bathroom door that wasn't gone tell us about until we brought it to his attention and then he said yeah I knew about that. He wasn't punctual. He did three rooms for us. His price was average.

Stephen was a gentleman and we will call again.

He showed up, did the job and left; that's what I like. He was on time and was fine.

He was here for awhile, but he did an excellent job. He was funny and great to work with.

We were in need of a quality handyman that we could count on. We decided to become a member of Angie's List and we then checked out the handyman listings. We found Stephen on the list and gave him a call. He was very friendly and came out to discuss the things we wanted completed and he shared with us ideas as to how to best do the job along with his estimated time and ycost to do the job. We agreed on the project and adding a floor to our attic along with taking down a structure that had been built around the hanging furnace in the garage. He came at the time he said he was going to be here and finished within 30 minutes of the time he said it would take for the total cost of the project. Our garage had been a model office since our villa was a model 10 years ago. We have received several complements on the work he has down for us. We plan on using him whenever, we need a handyman. Thanks to Angie's List for having such quality people to pick from. Keep up the great work.

Stephen is courteous, responsive, and looks for ways to save us money. His rates are low - and because he saves us money, we don't hesitate to tip him! He is not only friendly, but engaging as well. His sense of humor makes the overall experience gratifying!

He left and said he'd get back to me with an estimate.....never heard from him again.

Stephen has a unique quality of knowing what it is you want to accomplish and to plan the work in a methodical, practical manner. Until he took up the old boards he had no way of knowing what the problem with the support members would be. He kept us informed at every stage of the remodeling, apprising us of the costs of time and materials. He is a very thorough craftsman and has all the tools needed to get the job done. It took us a while to get on his schedule, but it was well worth the wait.
