The Provider stated he would have the job completed in 3 weeks. He was supposed to begin the first week of January 2013 and finish before I came home from the hospital and rehab after a leg amputation. He did not begin until AFTER I had returned home. He had told us there would be precautions against dust and we would be able to use our bedroom every day. It was horrid. There is still concrete dust all over the house months later. It took him 89 days to complete the job and we had to move everything out of our bedroom and sleep in a guest room! I had to tell him every day what I wanted done even though we had listed everything prior to the contract being signed. I gave him notes, pictures, everything I could think of to keep him on track. Every day was a nightmare. The first 2 weeks or so, he and his helper only worked approximately 4 hours per day an average of 3 days per week. It wasn't until he was reaching the end of his 60 day contract limit that he finally became serious about the job. No one knows what he cut the drywall with but it was the most jagged, uneven edges anyone had ever seen. It took buckets of mud and rolls of tape to repair it. The finish is too think in areas and non-existent in others. He hung the wrong doors, argued about putting a half wall up between the vanity and toilet (I don't know what he thought he was going to put the grab bars on which, by the way, he never put up), he argued about laying the tile floor prior to installing the cabinets and baseboards, put the shower backer board up backwards and of course it warped, got paint all over the tile floors, called a tile man he did not know to come do all the tile in the shower, told him the pan had been poured and it had not so the tile man who had just met Bryan that day had to rebuild the shower seat, pour the pan, and try to flat the tile over the warped backing. We had to go out and buy some tiles we needed to complete the job because he miscalculated the amount needed and didn't order what we wanted (and gave him pictures of). This was supposed to be a "Flat Rate" contract yet we had to pay for light fixtures, shower fixtures, sink fixtures, etc. because he said he only itemized so much money for those items. When we reminded him it was a Flat Rate contract, he told us it didn't apply to those things. After we finally got him out of our house (after I found out he had been using some of my medication), we had to call people in to repair things he had done wrong such as put the shower door up to open the wrong way, put up towel bars and reposition grab bars, sand and repaint doors, and now we have a short in a light switch. Five minutes after the final inspection, I walked into the bathroom to discover water all over the floor because the toilet was leaking. Fortunately, the plumber was only a few blocks away and could come back immediately to repair it. He also tore out all the insulation in the attic above the bedroom which we had just had installed!! Now the bedroom and bathroom are so hot we end up sleeping in another room or on the couch most nights. Everything he did ended up being a disaster and we have ended up paying thousands more for repairs.
