Arlene's Auto Transport

Having never hired anyone to transport a vehicle, I was nervous. Although my car was 10 years old it was in pristine condition with only 51k miles on it. I was extremely pleased with the transport of my vehicle. When he picked up the vehicle he told me he thought the transport would take 5 days and he was exactly on time. Richard was very responsive to my messages throughout the entire trip. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for vehicle transport.

Having never hired a car transport company and read some horror stories, I was nervous. Although my vehicle is 10 years old it only has 51k miles and is in pristine condition. When Richard came to load my car he said he thought delivery would be in 5 days. He was exactly right. Richard was very responsive to my calls during the trip as he made his way up the East coast. I would definitely recommend Arlene's Auto Transport to anyone.

I contacted Richard from Arlene’s Auto Transport to transport my Ford Explorer from Massachusetts to Florida and in then return my Ford F-150 back to Massachusetts upon delivery of Explorer. The process for the trip down was slightly delayed, but having many vehicles brought back and forth, this is expected and not the reason for negative review. After picking up my F-150, he had a mishap with his trailer and dropped my truck from the second level. It damaged 2 wheels (rims), the front quarter panel on the driver’s side and left the care covered in hydraulic fluid. The interior was filthy as well, assuming that they were jumping in and out of it after the trailer level collapsed. You would think this would also be enough a reason for my negative review. And I wish it was. Richard informed me of the mishap and offered to pay for all cleaning and auto body work out of pocket, as he was trying to keep his insurance rates down. I reluctantly agreed, but as a business owner, I could understand his plight. I have many long time relationships with local body shops and an auto detailer, so I was able to repair my truck relatively inexpensively. Since then, I’ve made dozens of unanswered phone calls, emails, registered mail and faxes trying to get repaid for my out of pocket expenses after getting my truck repaired and cleaned. I’ve paid out all the repairs, as I wanted to keep my good relationships just that, good. I’ve received no response from Arlene’s other than to be told I would receive a check. Weeks later, no check ever arrived. I judge a company on how they handle things when they go wrong. This was poorly handled and you’re better off going elsewhere for auto transport!

This was a horrible experience!!!! First he did not pick up the vehicle as promised, showed up 4 days late. Anytime you called his cell phone number, the message said that the phone mail was full. They were supposed to bring the car to the long term parking lot at the Tampa FL airport and call us with the information to locate the car there. That never happened! Our flight was 2/23/15 with an arrival time of 10:38 am. At 8:15 pm on 2/22, we received a call that he was still in Delaware and that he would not be there. We immediately went on line and rented a minivan at the airport car rental. We did not hear from him again until Tues. 2/24 evening, telling us he would deliver the car to the house in Davenport on Wed. 2/25 around dinner time. He never showed up or called. On Thurs. 2/26 someone finally answered at the main phone at Arlene's we demanded to know when the car was being delivered. We also complained that the driver's cell phone phone mail was always full and that he had not communicated with us. Not much help there, she just asked if we were not aware of the weather issues in the northeast. Countless messages had been left of the company phone mail as well. Finally, Rich called at 11:30 am on Thurs. 2/26 and he told us he would not deliver the car as promised as his rig's fuel injection system was broken. We asked where our car was and he told us at his place of business at 7841 Leo Kidd Ave. in New Port Richey, FL. We asked for directions and said we were coming to get the vehicle. It was almost a 2 hour ride each way. When we got there, he was not apologetic, nor gracious. The car was covered with mud, don't ask me how or why, and we wanted some water to wash the windows so we could drive it. He said the water company had the water off for maintenance and he could not help us. We even asked to use the restroom and he said we couldn't because of the water turn off and that we could go to the WaWa on the corner. Unbelievable!!!! As we stood there the water was turned on and he did let us use the facilities and he sprayed the car windows with a hose. He then pulled out a $100.00 bill and handed to us for our inconvenience. I proceeded to tell him that would pay only half of the car rental. He just looked at me. It was not the best area and I did not feel comfortable there, so we just left. When we go to the house, we noticed that both running boards were semi detached and that there were several scratches on the passenger door and the running boards. We had to bring the car to a body shop the next day to have the running boards reattached. Our daughter needs them to get into the car as she is disabled. We lost 5 days of our vacation as we had to stay around the house the first 3 days waiting for him, 1 day to retrieve the car and 1 day to have the car fixed. Since the car was packed with all our clothes etc. we had to purchase a few things for all 6 of us, and then we had to ship 4 big boxes back home as we could not fit them in the car with us in it for the return trip. Not wanting to take another chance with a car transporter, we cancelled our return flights, and made the 3 day drive back home. Then there is the added cost of two hotel nights for two families on the drive back, food and gas. All in all it was a horrible experience. I would never take a chance having a car transported again. This is a VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY, there are NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, and ZERO COMMUNICATION SKILLS. BUYER BEWARD!!!!!!!!

They were quick, friendly, and showed up on time. We were totally satisfied with their service.

I was happy with the auto transportation service of Arlene's Auto Transport. I would definitely use them in the future.
