Absolutely a waste of $$$
Description of Work: Wessinger replaced solid steel doors that had rusted and had a low pedestal (stoop) with cheap aluminum doors with a high pedestal. The steel doors had a self closing hinge which I requested that needs to be replaced. He didnt install the doors properly (had the manufacturer come out to inspect) and couldnt install the hinge. He refused to answer calls and correct. Paid another contractor to replace the doors with similar quality. What a nightmare! Appealed to BBB and they were useless (although I note that he is now rated F by FFF) Its nothing more than a shell game for him Avoid at all costs

I fired them. They continued to demand monies before delivery or completion of projects. Payment for Kitchen Bar and Granite Countertop - Bill Wessinger met with me on November 19, 2014 and insisted I pay the $1,080.00 balance for the new kitchen bar. (The 40% deposit of $720 for the kitchen bar was paid on October 23, 2014 per the contract - Total $1800.) He also insisted that I pay the $3,960 balance for the kitchen granite counter tops and back splash. (The 40% deposit of $2,640 for the granite had been paid on October 23, 2014 per the contract Total paid $6,600.) The new cabinet bases deposit of $160 was paid 10/23/14. Bill Wessinger stated at that time that the cabinets and granite had to be paid in full before they could be ordered which was not the contract agreement. As of 4/8/15, neither the kitchen bar nor the granite had been ordered, delivered or completed. On March 13, 2014 I gave Bill Wessinger the opportunity to subcontract with JP Kitchens to finish the kitchen & make this right since Wessinger already had $8,560 of my money for the kitchen work (granite, cabinet bases & kitchen bar). He met with JP Kitchens on 3/20/15 and continued to delay paying a deposit to them so they could start the kitchen saying he had hadn't received the contract, which was sent twice by JP and once by me. Even after he received it, he said he wasn't paying deposit until he had read the contract and telling me that JP Kitchen would have started the work without a deposit if I had stayed out of it. The only reason he didn't want me speaking directly with JP Kitchens was that I knew the truth about the conversations and that JP Kitchens had told Bill Wessinger that he required a deposit to start work. In speaking with JP Kitchens, he told me he wouldn't have started anything without a deposit from Bill Wessinger because he didn't trust him. (JP Kitchen's contract consisted of 8 lines and by 4/8/15 (after almost another month of waiting) Bill Wessinger still said he hadn't read it or paid the deposit.) On that date, I notified Bill Wessinger in writing that they were to cease all work at the house for various issues, but mainly because in 6 months the kitchen hadn't been started or completed. (Placing 2 Lowe's stock cabinets in the kitchen, not anchored down does not constitute completing the kitchen.) I told them in that written notification on 4/8/15 that they needed to return the money I paid for the kitchen (They have over $8,400 of my money for kitchen work not completed.) within 7 days or I would seek legal action, which I still intend to if they do not provide a satisfactory response to the complaint I filed with Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation in Tallahassee and the BBB. Satisfactory response means returning the monies I paid them for work they did not complete. A reputable company would do this without question, because a reputable company would not keep funds that they did not earn for work they did not do. I don't want to retain counsel, who wants that hassle, but I will if they don't do the right thing. Terrazzo floors ? The terrazzo floors were completed and totally unacceptable. There are numerous patches all over the floor in every room and they don?t even come close to matching the color of the floor and patches are flaking and chipping off. The entrance hallway has large patches all over it that don?t match the flooring. The polishing of the floors was also very poorly done leaving spots that look like they have no polish, areas where stains were left, and others that look like too much polish was applied and not removed. The $600 down payment was paid on 10/23/14. (The total cost per contract was $1,500 and a $600 deposit was provided on 10/23/14.) The floors could not be left uncovered as promised because of the poor workmanship, and I had to hire a reputable carpet company to come in and install carpet at a cost of $2,500. Kitchen Cabinet Bases - The cabinets were not delivered to the house until late February 2015 and were actually Lowe's stock cabinets available for immediate delivery, flat front doors and stained which wasn't correct because the original cabinets are natural oak ?raised? door cabinets in design. The cabinet bases were stained and did not match the original cabinets because they are not stained. I asked Don Wessinger specifically if Wessinger Group could match the kitchen cabinets and if they could not, I would replace all the cabinets. I was told that there would be no problem matching the cabinets. Bill Wessigner also took one of my original cabinet doors to match it and never returned the door to me. I hired JP Kitchens and they had no difficulty matching the cabinets and have done so, including the one he kept which was located right next to the other original doors. JP Kitchens started work on the kitchen on 4/10 and completed work on 5/1/15, so there was no reason it took 6 months by Wessinger and still not have the kitchen completed. Kitchen Appliances - Bill Wessinger told me in November 2014 to purchase the new stove, sink and faucet so he had them when he was ready to install in the kitchen, and he would pick the items up from the store. I made the purchase at Lowe?s on November 8, 2014 and the items were never picked up by Wessinger even after I asked him repeatedly to do so. I asked JP Kitchens to pick up the stove I had purchased in Nov., Lowe's said that it was no longer in stock because of the months it had not been picked up by Wessinger, and I had to purchase a different stove. I met with JP Kitchen on 4/10/14 and he picked up the items on 4/13/14. Kitchen Tile - The kitchen tile was installed and paid in full on November 24, 2014 and the tile was installed. As of today, there is still new tile in the kitchen missing grout and another kitchen tile that was chipped by their workers that has not been repaired or replaced although I have asked repeatedly to have it fixed. Payment for Bathroom Vanity Installation - The $500 bathroom vanity installation was also paid in full on November 20, 2014, however, after payment was made, one vanity was not installed until 2015 and the other vanity was not installed until March 7, 2015. As of 4/8/15, the tile wall repair in the bathroom where the new vanity was installed still has not been completed although Bill Wessinger said that it would be repaired after the vanity was installed. After I fired Wessigner, I hired JP Kitchens and they completed the repair of the tile wall in the bathroom in less than a day. (We are talking 9 pieces of 6x6 tile.) Painting - The painting of the interior walls in the house was paid in full on January 5, 2015. However, when I went to the house, I found that the baseboards had not been painted and there were wall switch plates that they had painted around and hadn?t been removed for painting and areas that hadn't been patched before painting. That has been corrected, but as of 4/8/15, the kitchen painting had never been completed. They also did not open the sliding closet doors when they painted and never painted the middle of the closet doors. The painter also did a poor job of repairing the bottom of closet that was damaged. In fact, he originally painted over the damage, until I mentioned it, then he sanded it and repainted, which then made the repair even more noticeable. I ended up hiring someone else to paint the kitchen and repaint the closet doors. Painting of baseboards - Baseboards in dining room have trim paint up on the walls because they did edge properly around baseboard. Painting of patio wall - paint splashed over PVC pipes on wall and there is paint is on the custom drapes in family room and they painted metal locks on front door. They also got white paint on the blue custom drapes in the family room/kitchen. Demo and Dump of Trash - The demo and dump of the trash was also paid in full on November 5, 2014, but the trash was not removed until four months later on March 7, 2015 where it had been thrown by workers in the residence?s garage, as well as some trash left outside the front of the house. Driveway - The driveway has never been repaired and sealed and a $200 deposit was put down for this service on 10/23/14. $300 balance was not paid because work has not been completed. Garden - They took out an overhead sprinkler system over the patio gardens, laid mulch and put sprinkler soaker hoses under the mulch. The mulch was put down without blackout material under the mulch, so weeds are growing through it and the soaker hose was not covered properly so parts of it are lying on top of the mulch. I had no idea they were just laying soaker hoses, instead of an underground sprinkler system; otherwise would not have had overhead sprinkler system removed. All very poorly completed. I have photos to backup all my statements of the substandard work they did if anyone would like to see them. My review is completely truthful based on the work they performed and the work they did not complete. Form your own opinion, but I will not be using them again.
Description of Work: Repainted inside of house, new baseboards, installed new bathroom vanities, installed new tile floor in family room and kitchen, resurfaced outdoor patio, started kitchen, repair and polish terrazzo floors.

TERRIBLE Mr. Wessenger is a scammer. Takes your money and delays, postpones and makes excuses as to why the job is not progressing. His favorite line is "The Code Department is a Bunch of A..holes, they don't know what they are doing". He do not know what he is doing. Totally Incompetent! View these sites for verification: ' BBB http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/business-reviews/contractors-general/wessinger-group-in-coral-springs-fl-11002143 comments: Rating of an "F" and "There is an alert on this business". I took it to the state for arbitration, refused and said if I try to sue him he will "Declare Bankruptcy". What a Contractor.........does not stand by his work, numerous problems on the work he did complete, but I figure I lost 30K based on what I paid him and what he delivered. City of Fort Lauderdale https://ebiz.fortlauderdale.gov/egovplus/permit/cont_search_dtl.aspx?cont_id=CGC048678 open one of the files and view how long a simple job takes and how many times the inspections fail on the work he performed. go to permit and and then inspections. Of course as he says, "It is the City of Fort Lauderdale's" fault that the inspection failed, they do not know what they are doing, but it happens all the time. Could it be his incompetence? YES it is, he is a scammer! Do not hire or do business with any member of the Wessinger Group. Enter a contract at your own risk and be prepared for a very frustrating experience with sub par work quality, delays and phone call that are not returned. And budget about another 40% of your original construction estimate to have it completed (my contract never was) by another contractor.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Description of Work: Mr. Wessinger and the Wessinger Group are dishonest and grifters. Contracted him in 2010 for a remodel/renovation/repairs and as of today they are still not done. Has an excuse for any problem, failed inspection (there were many) and delay, if he chooses to call you back. This has been a terrible experience and I would not recommend him to anyone. Complained to state and he agreeded to a mediation and a completion date with the state and he refused to honor the date, August 2013.. Threatened bankruptcy if I tried to sue him. BEWARE BEWARE ASK FOR REFERRALS SEE IF HE CAN GIVE YOU ANY!

We hire this company (Directly with the owner Don Wessinger) to repair a leak in our roof. The job was done and had a one year warranty. After 9 months the leak came back but they did not honor the warranty. My wife made 4 appoiments with them, all of them were cancel at the last minute. Lats time we call they just left us in hold and hang up. Finally last december (12/28/2012) we found them doing a driveway job in our block. Again we spoke with Don Wessiger about our leak and warranty which he promise to review and honor. We are still waiting for his phone call or a replay to any of our messages. Fernando Arias

Mr. Wessinger is dishonest, unethical and should not under any circumstances be allowed to scam other people. I have filled a number of complaints against the company, and their response to be is that I was the "unfortunate victim of a failing economy and failing company" The company filled bankruptcy and changed their name. The Wessinger Group are still in business albeit under a slightly different name, but I imagine they are operating with the same dishonest business practices. Stay well clear.
Description of Work: We contracted Wessinger to remodel our home. He not only walked away with thousand of dollars but the work he did do on the house had to be redone because of his shoddy work. Needless to say that I will not recommend him to anyone and if anyone knows anyone that is considering doing business with him please warn them.

Bill managed to pay for the demo and other light constructions work until the shell started. During the shell construction I was told he had no money to pay for the shell and I had to complete the GC work myself. To date he still owes me $60K. I believe he has since filed Bankruptcy and is rumored to be in the fencing and roofing business. Needless to say I would not recommend Bill for anything.

These folks did not show up when the said they would, and have not completed they work to date. The people who showed up to start one part of the project were very professional and cleaned up the when they were done.
Description of Work: I contracted this company to put in a screened in patio in March. The told me that the work should be completed at the end of May. It is July, and they have only installed a footer. The people who came to install the footer were very professional. After leaving 7 voice messages and 2 emails over a 2 week period someone called me back, but had no idea on how much longer it would take to finish the work. At the moment it seems this company has too many customers to manage.
