FLOORS DIRECT

Wow what a great experience with Floors Direct. This is the 5th job I have hired them for and they just keep getting and better. They gave me great advice which helped me save some $$ on my remodel. They were very understanding and answered all of my questions with professionalism. When it came time to do my work, they were on time, very clean, very communicative and were an absolute pleasure to work with. John did a great job with my tile including placing pebbles in the window by HAND! And of course Tom and Ruben came in to finish it off by laying the flooring. The installation work was amazing and my bathroom looks so good! My only regret is I am running out of Jobs to hire them for! But I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Working with Floors Direct we were able to complete 3 flooring projects. Both an upstairs and downstairs at one house. As well as an upstairs at another house. Each installation had its own challenges. In one we just removed the carpet and installed vinyl plank flooring. The other had a mix of very old laminate and tile that had to be removed before the new vinyl plank flooring was installed. And the 3rd install was over the current tile floor. In two cases we even had new carpeting installed. In our case Ruben and Tom where the two installers on all 3 jobs and did AWESOME. They helped to answer all of our questions, took the time to work with us for some special need we had..and even did not mind that our foreman ( i.e. our cats ) were there to "help" inspect. The were very hard workers that showed up on time and worked a full day each day. The removed all the old material as well as moved any items before/after. Not only was the installers amazing Tony from the Plantation/Sunrise store. He helped us to pick out the right product in each use case we had. Worked with us to get a good deal and even dealt with a few last minute changes of product from one to another. Clay also did a great job doing the measurements and coming up with a plan that would work. GREAT JOB by these folks as this makes 4 floors we have them do in the last year!!!

As we entered the store, David the salesman greeted us in a professional manner. Throughout the selection process David was knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. We never felt pressured and greatly appreciated dealing with an experienced adult who cared about his job and customers. The store is brand new, clean, bright, and includes a great selection. Within a week our carpet was in and ready to be installed. The 2 installers arrived on time and worked 8 hours with only one 20 minute break. They were neat, diligent, professional, and respectful of our home and contents. This was the best experience I've had in years! An unexpected surprise, NO issues, so rare these days!

They did a great job. Jose communicated well with me. He discussed all of the cost up front so I completely understood the cost of materials and labor. He was on target with his scheduling. They did a great job of installing the wood laminate throughout the house. I would highly recommend Floors Direct for any flooring needs.

There are two parts to our purchase with Floors Direct. The first is the initial contact and subsequent visits. We were referred through Angie's List to Jose at Floors Direct. He was AMAZING. There wasn't a request he couldn't handle, there wasn't an impatient bone in his body and he was ALWAYS there to talk to us. We wanted hardwood floors throughout the first floor of our home, replacing carpet. He showed us hardwood and laminate floors, taking us through the pros and cons of each. We eventually decided on laminate floors. Jose gave us Floors Direct's best estimate and we paid a down payment. About a week after, we learned of tile floors that LOOKED like hardwood. Jose said he had them in stock. We quickly picked out what we wanted and Jose reconfigured our entire order as well as our schedule to install the new tile. He did it with a smile. If everyone in business was as polite, courteous and respectful as Jose, the world would be a great place. 
Unfortunately, not everyone associated with Floors Direct is like Jose. The actual installers of our floor did their job but didn't make clear what their schedule was. Our tile was delayed, so they spent considerable time just lounging in our yard on the first day of work. We had a large entertainment center that they were paid to move -- they didn't even try to move it until five days into the project and when they tried they decided not to do it, which altered how they would install tile around the entertainment center. Worst of all, they left messes everywhere in our house, including our garage, back yard and bathroom (eww). Their inability to not clean up after themselves made our house smell and our yard messy. When these issues were brought up to Ramon, who was in charge of the installation, he acted as if he couldn't care less. He took his check (which there was a miscommunication on) and left. Jose apologized profusely for Ramon and his workers but couldn't do anything more about it. 
Ultimately our floors look great, so through all of the problems we still got what we wanted. The bottom line is that Jose and the folks at Floors Direct are great -- they deserve an A! But their workers left a lot to be desired. They deserve a C. Average it out to a B.

The sales person was very helpful in the store, but not pushy to make a sale.  The business offers many choices of quality products.  The installers arrived on time and the work was all completed as agreed.  The installers were very careful to avoid damageto our property.  They were on time and met my expectations for installation.

We purchased a home that had laminate throughout the house except the bedrooms. Floors Direct was a distributor for the laminate that was already installed in the house. Jose was very helpful over the phone, he verified that the same laminate is available as special order and would take about 5 business days. He had the measuring done the next day, and the material arrived soon after the order was placed. Jose was able to schedule the installation around the painters who were working inside the house at the time.
The installers arrived at exactly 0800 am as scheduled on both days, finished the job efficiently and very professionally, cleaned up all very nicely and the workmanship in the whole house looks great, with great attention to detail.

Jose in the store was marvelous!!! An installer was scheduled (independent contractor), they showed up on time and did a wonderful job!!!||I am delighted with Floors Direct and will use them again as well as recommend them to others.

They were the only ones that gave me the time of day when I told them I was looking for parquet flooring. Everyone else blew me off and told me I needed a whole new floor. Their rep gave me confidence,

The estimator showed up when he said he would (unlike another company;'s estimator who never showed up and never called us). The installers showed up when they said they would. They were tidy and contained the dust in their work area. The installers were subcontractors but were very professional. The floors look beautiful. The whole process went smoothly. I would definitely use them again.

At first everything seemed to go well. We originally wanted to do tile, but Ed said that the luxury vinyl planks would work best for us. That they could be floated over any exisiting tile. They don't actually install the floor, they outsource the work to someone else to install. I had to write two checks, one to Floors Direct and the other to the installer Steve Siegelman. It was never clear who would be responsible if there were problems. Immediately after install the floor lookedreally good and there didn't appear to be any problems. The installers weren't horrible, but they were really bad about the time situation and showing up on time with the install. About a month after the install the vinyl planks started popping out. They came out to look at it and they said that the tile underneath was popping up causing the new vinyl planks to pop out as well. They suggested that the old floor should have been ripped up before installing the vinyl planks. I spoke to a woman at Floors Direct and told her that Ed was very clear that it wouldn't be an issue with installing the vinyl plank over the existing tile floor. I said that I originally wanted to go with tile again, but was told by Ed that the vinyl planks would a better solution for us and he knew that the existing tiles were hollow and it wouldn't be an issue to install over them. The woman at Floors Direct told me that it wasn't their repsonsibility that this was happening and it was my problem. I had to have the installers come back out to tear up the floor, which I wound up having to tear up half of it myself. They re-installed the vinyl planks after the tile was torn up. I had to pay the extra amount out of pocket because Floors Direct wouldn't take responsibilty for the problems with the floor.

The sales department did a great job in finding us the matching hardwood floor that needed. Lindsey was always polite and informative of the process and Ed came out after hours in order to measure and collect all necessary date for the installation. Their contractor installer worked hard in order to meet our time frame and they did a great job. Their warranty and after sales support make it come out as a top notch job.
We are very pleased with these people. In a very short time frame the whole process was completed. We thank them very much for doing such a great job in a 12 day window before we moved in.
