I met everyone the first day of work after that I left my door unlocked, the guys let themselves and in worked ALL day long. Every night everything was cleaned up and neatly stored. I would hire them again for sure!

Paul was prompt in returning my initial call and scheduling an onsite visit for a quote; he arrived for the appointment on time. Paul was upfront, honest and answered all the questions that I had regarding the quote . All work was performed as described in the quote and the job was started/completed on time; the quality of work was excellent. Workers were prompt, polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. Its refreshing to work with a contractor that lives up to their word. I plan on using Paul's Professional Tile for future work and would recommend them to others.

Great Work! Very professional and skilled workman with many years experience. They put down drop cloths to protect the floors and they cut all materials outside and away from the front door and open garage door. Paul allowed me to buy my own materials, which included everything they would need. This was a savings. I bought most of my tile on sale. I was able to get a refund on some of the unused tile. I bought everything they needed. My total labor cost for Paul's work for the two bathrooms was approximately $2300. Another Angie's List contractor wanted $4,000 labor for just the one bathroom and would not let me buy the materials. I wrote back to him that I could not see the bathtub project taking 100 hours at $40 per hour. This was only 70 square feet of tile surface. I think he is so busy he does not want my job. My labor and materials cost for that job was less than $3000. That included the cast iron tub and the anti scald valve. With Paul and Dunedin Plumbing, I spent less than $6,000 for two bathroom jobs. That includes all materials and labor.
Description of Work
Removed old shower stall tile and plasterboard behind it--took it back to the studs. After Dunedin Plumbing installed the new faucet and shower pan, PPT installed vapor barrier, cement board and tile of my choice. Also installed towel rack, two grab bars and a shower corner shelf. In April, PPT did a similar job on the bath alcove after Dunedin plumbing installed a new cast iron tub. The excellence of the work, and reasonableness of the estimate caused me to schedule the above mentioned shower stall work in the master bath room.

My brother used Paul's Tile, that's why I looked them up. I used them on my rental house. I had an insurance claim. I have a rental property, the first house I bought after college and I don't live here. The renters called me and said they had water damage. I called the insurance and they finally, after 2 months, they gave me a check. I called my brother and asked if they were good since I gave him the name off of Angie's List. I actually used them to use a shower off of a insurance claim. His part of it was awesome, he did really good work. Incorporated into the price he did the baseboards, he did the shower pan, the new shower drain. He actually centered it. He had to make a new seat in the shower.

Having worked with contractors and subs on jobs ranging from a few hundred dollars to millions of dollars, I've seen the full range of performance. Paul's Professional Tile is the best. Their quote was timely and reasonable. They started the job on time. When they encountered unexpected challenges (the plumber had made several critical mistakes during the build out and prep) Paul presented options and costs to remedy the situation, and then performed the work perfectly. Professional tile work does not get any better. I would never use any one else again. (And I've built and renovated more than a dozen buildings, houses, condomiums and apartments during the past thirty five years).

I met with Paul in May for an estimate. I chose him over other service providers who gave me estimates. He was very nice, personable, and professional. he even made suggestions after going over what I wanted. He suggested I to pick out new trim kits to go along with the new tile and to replace my tub that was scratched. He was very knowledgable and even mentioned that I needed posi temp valves for they type of plumbing I had. He said he would do all this plumbing work himself. I went out and spent $300 on trim kits. He called the day before coming out for the job and asked if he got the trim kits. I said yes and he offered better trim kits to purchase through him. He said they would be cheaper and a better quality. He came in the day of the job with the exact same trim kits I had purchased myself but they were $60 more through him. Paul arrived with Lorenzo and another helper. Paul left after being there only around 10 minutes and the other workers stayed to do the job. I had difficulty communicating with workers that Paul brought and they had a hard time understanding me. Paul forgot to bring the brazzing kit used to work on the copper piping and said they were going to have to use plastic connectors instead. After they finished one bathroom, I tried to use the turn spout on the tub and it was overly flexible and not working properly. I did my own research and found they replaced all of the copper pipe with plastic piping in both bathrooms which was unnecessary. I was not pleased with this and asked Paul to fix it. They had to cut the brand new tile and concrete board in order to get to the piping. I aslo found the valve in the master bath was potruded from the wall, which caused the handle of the faucet to stick out too far form the plate. Paul was never did any of the work himself of was present to oversee the work. Many of the mistakes made could have been avoided if they just remembered the brazzing kit. They also gave us the wrong shower head in one bathroom that did not match the trim kit. He told us it was a bigger head and we should be happy with it. I also sent him picture of faucet sticking out two inchs from the pipe and he said all his bathrooms were like that. I called the manufacturer, Moen, and they said it was installed incorrectly. After finding he did not want to correct these mistakes, I canceled the check and emailed immediately. He was upset and we agreed to send $2000 for now and pay the rest when he corrected the mistakes he made. We rescheduled for July 5 and Paul never showed up. Two other workers came instead and had to cut a huge hole in wall to pull pipe backwards. They used 2x4's in the wall to make plastic pipe more rigid. This made the faucet stick out too far. When they cut the drywall they left a hole in the wall that is only covered by latex and has no drywall behind it. Paul never even came out to inspect any of the work done.
Description of Work
He removed existing tile around tub and shower areas. He also installed new tile around those areas, including new trim and faucet heads and shower spouts. He replaced one of the tubs with a new one.

Service Provider Response

We have read the comments regarding our work on these bathrooms. We happily accept the personal compliments, but must take exception to the derogatory expressions of the actual work. All was done in the customary fashion that has produced a long list of satisfied customers. In this case, conflicting direction and indecision was probably the source of discontent. Beyond this, we will never accept responsibility for personal prejudices regarding our employees or their workmanship. Language and ethnicity is no measure of an individuals ability. We hope this commentary will set aside doubts. Final payment was made with an expression of complete satisfaction. We always appreciate the opportunity to provide quality service. Respectfully, Paul McNabb

The job could not have gone better. Paul had a crew of 5 men and the entire job was completed in 7 days. One highly rated contractor on this site gave a quote of $27,000.00 and said it would take about 4 - 5 weeks! The first day the tile was removed Avardo, the supervisor, asked how long they could work! The men took about a 45 minute lunch break each day but worked continuously without any other breaks. Their attention to detail is unbelievable.
Description of Work
Removed original builder's grade ceramic tile from floors and two bathroom walls along with one cast iron tub. A shower pan was installed in one bathroom and the walls retiled with floor to ceiling 12 X 24 porcelain tile and new plumbing fixtures were installed. The wall tile in the second bathroom was also replaced with the 12 X 24 porcelain tile along with new plumbing fixtures. 18 X 18 porcelain tile was installed throughout the apartment as well as on the balcony with virtually no grout lines.

The job could not have gone better. I needed to replace a leaky shower pan and I just couldn't seem to find some one that would do the job I wanted. It was starting to seem like everyone wanted to do a total bathroom remodel or else they seemed to be totally incompetent. Finally, I found Paul's Professional Tile on Angie's List. He had very good reviews and was very close to my home. I gave Paul a call and he came to my house the next day. I explained what I was looking for and asked for my options. Paul gave me the option of everything from a basic shower pan job to a complete remodel or anything in between. I had actually found a contractor who listened to what I wanted instead of telling me I needed everything but the Brooklyn Bridge. I decided on a complete new tile shower and removal of the old tile in the rest of the bathroom. I also needed the job completed within two weeks. At first, it seemed impossible because of all the work Paul already had scheduled, but, somehow, he managed to reschedule another job and he actually had my job done within one week. I am much more than pleased. Paul and his workers are true professionals. He did everything he said he would do, when he said he would do it at the price he quoted. The bathroom looks beautiful. The price was fair and the workmanship is top shelf. I would recommend Paul's Professional Tile to anyone, without reservation.

After calling, Paul was able to come and give us a quote the next day. All the work was done exactly as promised. He even came up with the idea of replacing a wooden ramp into the house with a formed concrete ramp finished in matching tile. All phone calls were promptly returned. He and all his employees are very professional and do excellent work. The ramp came out beautifully. It blends in and the transition is smooth as silk!

Paul's estimate and description of how the job would proceed was exact. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. The first day, the existing flooring was ripped up, the sub floor was prepared and the installation of new tilke was begun. The second day the remaining tile was installed and grouting was done. The job included reinstalling a toilet in the powder room. From start to finish the work proceeded smoothly and efficiently.
Description of Work
Paul and his crew ripped out parque flooring as well as old tile. They then installed porcelin floor tile on the entire first floor. The work was done efficiently, expertly, neatly. The entire process took two days.

Paul was very professional in his estimate and having his workers on the job site as promised. The work was completed in 2 days. They had to remove 4 walls worth of tile and old sheetrock and remove the floor. They put in a new shower pan and a mud-based buildup for drainage. They installed backer-board and re-tiled all 4 walls and the floor. The workers were very thorough and cleaned up everything when they were done. My wife and I were very happy with the work performed and the manner in which it was done. I would strongly recommend this company. We are already in the process of having them do a similar project in another bathroom.

After receiving three different estimates from tile installers, we decided to contract with Paul's Professional Tile. His estimate included all plumbing required to complete a shower, tub, vanity and floor replacement in our master bath. On day one, Paul showed up with five workers and left them to do the job. This was a complete demolition of the old bathroom and they had the old bathroom cleaned out in about four hours. The workers were fast and neat. Plastic was installed as necessary to minimize dust and a dropcloth was placed on the path to the bathroom. They were very careful to protect the other areas of our home. This was a major project for us, but these folks have the experience to do a great job. There were questions along the way, as we had a decorator's drawing to work from and a few changes had to be made to get it to work, but this was all handled without a hitch. Paul's payment philosophy is that you pay when the job is completed to your satisfaction and we liked that. He checks in with the workers and the customer each day and is available by cell phone if you have any concerns. They did a great job and we are planning to have them remodel another bathroom in our home.

This company was a pleasure to do business with. Paul came out the day after I called and gave a tentative estimate (a formal one would follow) and told me what to purchase for the project and where to buy it. He did mention that he had other projects he was working on but that he would fit us in on a Friday or Saturday in the next couple of weeks. I called him to say we had purchase everything and were ready to start whenever he was. He surprised us and called saying he would be out the next morning with a crew as another project had been delayed. They worked very quickly. They were very professional and worked well together. It was fun watching. They needed to come out another day to seal and put on sockets. It took a couple of days but they always arrived when they were expected. The project was finished and it looks beautiful. It even cost slightly lower than the estimate. A good honest company! ! !

Paul was very responsive and responsible in providing both the quote and the installation service. The installation was done neatly, quickly, and in a completely professional manner. Paul also took time to review other areas of our home which might benefit from tile work and upgrades. He also provided helpful information on various aspects of tile and grout maintenance. Highly recommended.

Description of Work
Paul tiled a shower and bath floor which looks fantastic now. I could not believe how fast, professional, hard working and tidy the employees were. Some of the tile I had ordered did not come in so Paul selected an alternate which looks great. The job took 2 days to tear the shower down to studs, rebuild, tile and grout. Amazing. I only wish there was a higher rating than A! I will use Paul again and highly recommend his company.

Be open minded and ask the worker is he has any specific suggestions. The worker indicated that he felt the bar would be best at a point that you could extend your arm down to in-order to support your weight at in the event that your feet slip.

The worker from Paul's Tile installed three bathroom shower "safety bars" to prevent falling. The worker shower up at the scheduled time. He completed the work in 1 hour and did a very good job. Paul came to our house 2 days later, inspected the work and collect the fee. I would recommend his firm to anyone.

Paul's Professional Tile has now completely renovated 3 bathrooms and a laundry room. They also tiled my kitchen backsplash. However, this job was our masterbath room and laundry room. the guys came in and demoed everything in one day!! then cleaned up everyday before they left. tarps are laid each day and they covered all furniture in the immediate area with plastic. Both projects were done in close to a week. I am very happy with the work performed and enjoyed having the guys around.

Called and spoke with Paul to get quote on work. He set up an appointment to look over job and arrived promptly on time. The job was very smooth arrived a bit late but called to inform me of this prior which is refreshing. Did most of the work on first day asking to stay late and working until 7pm. Next morning they finished the job before noon. Put down tarps to keep carpets clean and cleaned up after themselves very well. I asked them to cut an access hole through 3 inches of tile and mud as an additional item. They added this to the job and handled it in a professional fashion as well. I need to have a copper pan made to cover this access hole. Will be putting a planter on the pan. Paul recommended a local metal shop for this called Tack and Warren in Clearwater this was also very helpful. Over all the job was done on time as promised in a professional fashion with high quality personnel. I would recommend Paul's Tile to anyone looking for personal touch no sub's tile work!!! Dave Howe

The job was beautiful. The guys he has working for him are really good. There was a little difficulty with the billing part of the work. We had two duplexes that were owned by two different people but everything was put on one bill, and it took some time to get everything figured out because it was initially all hand written and we needed it on two bills.
