I received what I considered to be sub-standard installation skills. Work ethics were lacking. Tile installer only worked a four hour day. Took two days to do a one day (8hr.) installation. Did not properly clean tile after installation. Would not recommend this company. Service was not commensurate with fee charged.

The entire process was perfect. They were prompt, polite and honest. Everything the salesman told me was true and accurate. The installer was knowledgeable, quiet and left the area he was working in cleaner than he found it. Here is the bottom line ... i am thrilled with the work they did for me. I have added them to my favorites list and would highly recommend Groutsmith of Central Florida to family and friends.

It is obvious when someone takes pride in his/her work. I am very pleased with the results. I am amazed at how much better the tile looks now. It is a job well-done. I plan to use The Groutsmith company in the future.

After I posted this review and complained via email, they sent out a supervisor named Mike. He reviewed the issues and corrected them. He was extremely courteous and did good work. I left the review at a 3 because of the original problem. Everyone was extremely pleasant to deal with I called the company because they had good reviews on Home Advisor. It was a classic case of a sales person promising one thing, and service delivering another. It one of the worst experiences of my life. They were great on the phone. The sales guy was on time. I knew what I needed done. I had a stand up shower that needed to be regrouted. It was starting to show mildew around tthe base My second bathroom had grout that was starting to crack and I figured it was time to get that one done as well. I called two companies. The first company was in and out, left me a quote, but I was not comfortable with the lack of reviews. Groutsmith came in evaluated the job, spent time explaining what would be done, wrote the estimate, and left. The guys came to do the work. this is where everything went south. They started by cleaning the floors. OK. About an hour after they arrived, one of the techs came in and said he needed to talk to me. I went into the master and he asked me what I expected the end result to look like. I told him the same thing I had told the sales guy. He said that I was not going to get what I expected. He had removed a couple of tiles (the same ones I showed the sales guy) on the outside of the shower and said there was water damage. Sales guy missed that. OK Then we started talking about the other work on the order. He said that if he did what the sales guy outlines, the work would look terrible. Nothing would match. He said it would look like crap and he wanted me to know before he started. He said he was tired of people yelling at him. He said he tries to do quality work and that there was a big difference between what I was told and what it would like at the end. He said that that has been happening a lot lately?????? They took a couple of hundred dollars off the invoice and did a small part of what I was expecting. They cleaned, stained, and sealed the front hall, the family room, and a hallway. Looks about how it looked before they started. Except for the haze on all the tiles. I have to mop it in 72 hours, cannot put any of the rugs back until then, and get to live in a mess until then. Guess the guys statement that it will dry in a few hours was off. He said that by the time the guys left, they could put everything back and it would look ok. Nope. On to the second bathroom, Needed some grout replaced and the edges sealed. They sealed the edges but guess what. None of the regrout work was spelled out on the work order so they did not do it. And would not do it. I said now what, call someone else to do the other work? The guy said yes. What did I get for 750. Some seal work, the floors were cleaned, and I did a bunch of prep work for nothing. I could have paid a handiman and a maid a couple of hundred dollars for the same result. These guys tout themselves as professionals. They listen to what you want. They accomplish very little of what you wanted done. I am sure the tech did what was outlined. Problem is that did not match what I wanted done and what I was told would happen. What a rip off. On the way out the techs thanked me for not yelling and cussing at them They said that happened regularly and they appreciated the fact that I kept my temper. Scary
