Brian went around and checked each head and made adjustments where needed. He educated me on my system, and what could be done to improve my system. I would recommend this big deal to everyone!

Great customer service. They came back at no charge to redo a couple of sprinklers. This is the second year I have done business with them.

It went well, but there were problems with a couple zones that they had to come back a different day to fix. The zone problem cost us a bit more than the original estimate.

He knew what he was doing, explained everything to me, made corrections and replaced things as needed. He was finished in less than half an hour and the sprinkler system runs like new. I'm very pleased with the service.

Scheduling was easy, they showed up on time, and they did the work as promised. Unfortunately, their repairs didn't make much of an improvement because the system still didn't work after their visit.

It went very well! I had not remembered our initial appointment so they were good enough to come back at another time without any negative attitude... very accommodating and responsible. They did all that they said that they were going to do and didn't charge anything over and above the quote! Great job and a great service technician as well!

The person who came out to my house was very knowledgeable and helpful and able to correct the problems with my sprinkler system immediately. He also gave me advice about my lawn and how to manage the fertilizer. Great job and definitely recommend.

Great! No pressure for additional service. I did ask for estimate for new control box as we have been having issues with it. They sent me estimate with very fair price. I will definitely have them replace it when the time is right.

We recommend that you hire someone else. Although this company seems to do good work for most customers, it's a roll of the dice. The serviceman was punctual and, though we had to wait several weeks for our appointment (because of the Angie's List deal rush), that was okay with us. The serviceman installed a few new sprinkler heads to fix those that were broken, and offered some other useful advice. He was very friendly and completed the work in a very timely manner. However, he didn't know that some of the attachments were part of our existing system, and he didn't fix them. The whole reason we hired the company was to get our existing system (we just moved in) in working order, even if it cost extra. They did not do so as several standard attachments still do not work. He also told us our timer was completely dead when, in fact, it just had a dead battery (we learned that after he left). We replaced the standard battery and use the timer regularly. All functions work normally, including the multiple program settings and the manual controls. The rep also left piles of dirt on our walkway and in our yard instead of cleaning up. We didn't expect a dirt-free job (he did, after all, have to dig out the old units), but he wouldn't have done this to his own yard. Overall, the price was great, but the service was not. We would have gladly paid more to get the other attachments working, but now we must fix them ourselves. Update in response to the company: We are confused by the company's response, and so we are updating this review. The timer, which we think was installed by the prior homeowner, is not homemade; it's obviously a digital timing gauge. It's labeled as such and a quick Google search reveals that it's a popular model on Amazon (it's ranked in the top 20 controllers on Amazon; a sister-model that looks identical and has the same features is in the top 10) and it is well-reviewed by dozens of reviews (four stars). We were not advised to upgrade the system or do anything except replace a few sprinkler heads, which we gladly hired them to do, and to replace the timer if we wanted (it would still work manually without a timer, and the rep recommended we use them). The rep told us to ignore the backflow valve issue and to use the manual valve control. That will not work if we use the timer, so it was not good advice. We have downgraded our rating in quality and price ratings to a C because, based on the company's response saying for the first time that we need to update the system in unspecified ways, we have to hire someone else and start over. If they would have told us that the first time, we would have hired them to do it on the spot. We have also downgraded the professionalism rating to an F for taking unnecessary shots at us in their response and for characterizing the top 20, very common timer as some sort of home-brewed monster, which they did presumably to save face instead of admitting their rep did not know about it.

Great - would have been a good value at $85, but with coupon, it was only $42.50!

We have invested roughly $500 through Angie's List offers, as well as work through ALC recommendations and still have what amounts to a less than operable irrigation system. I have one head that is doing an incredible job irrigating the street, one head that is, remarkably, not getting a single drop of water on our lawn but we have a sparkling clean sidewalk, one head that doesn't have a head at all and is shooting straight up onto the air (technician indicated that was his first priority -- nope) and a head that, to his credit, same technician found under our pool deck (that was his second priority - fixed; nope). Got a very cool ~100' feet of cable running out of my garage rendering it, the garage, virtually unusable. Finally after installing a new irrigation box ($173 proposed; ahhh, I don't think so) the zones are so haphazard as to be well, haphazard, and not allowing a sequential use of limited number of zones. I just 'want the bad man to go away'. I am going to do a little more due diligence and see if I can find a company that can correct the problem/s the first time. I will not recommend this company for ANY work and,frankly, will have them prosecuted for trespassing if they come upon my property again. This simply was one time that Angie's List did not work A quick response to ALC and to all reviewing: If noticed, you will see that I did indeed recognize their responsiveness, graded A, (they did indeed fit us in quickly), I did recognize their punctuality, graded A, ( within minutes of the time promised the technician was in place at our residence), and I rightfully recognized their professional response. I do not take exception to any of that in the response from ALC and in fact applaud the quick response. My rating is simply an appraisal of the end result. After three vists and over $500 expended we did NOT have an operable irrigation system.

Company emailed me notifying me that I am outside their service area.

It was perfect. They were on-time to the minute. Did exactly what they said they were going to do and easily made a few small adjustments. Could not have been more friendly or professional.

When I signed up for the Big Deal they informed me I was outside their service area, but would honor the offer anyway. They showed up on time and went over the details of the system at the house I just bought. All sprinkler heads were adjusted to the proper range and coverage. They also replaced three sprinkler heads that were damaged or leaking, at a very reasonable cost. I would recommend them to others and I would definitely use them again but am out of their service area.

I purchased a Big deal for a sprinkler tune up for $45. When they came out they told me what I already knew about which sprinklers were broken. Then his quote was too much money to fix them. I just requested a refund.

Supervisor was very helpful. There were some mess-ups, but everything addressed. Employee that came out was very helpful, but was getting phone calls to hurry the job up. It turned into a larger than expected job. My plants are all very happy.

They were on time, called ahead of time and did everything they were supposed to do. They did a great job and I will be using them again soon.
