8/19/14 8:26am to 3:40pm - Only Russell and Chris worked today. They caulked and Russell worked on patching the right bottom frame of the French door. Also, door's rotten bottom left. While Chris cut paint. Russell sprayed the first coat of paint.
8/20/14 8:30am to 4:25pm - All 3 of them came today. They cut paint. Russell started spraying and Chris followed with a roller. They finished spraying the left and front sides of our home.
8/21/14 8:28am - Russell and Chris arrived. Then Roger. They applied the trimming. They finished spraying the right and back sides of our home. They left at 3:14pm.
8/22/14 All 3 came at 8:29 AM. Left at about 3 PM. Chris painted the 2 back doors. Russell sprayed paint on the front door. They applied second coat on the trimming.
THEY ARE AWESOME PEOPLE, AND DO AN AWESOME WORK!
Russell the owner, came out for the estimate (which was very reasonable) and was able to begin the project the next day! He and his team were knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. They arrived right on time each morning, answered all of my questions through the day and cleaned up every afternoon before leaving. They were very careful to protect our new patio and didn't get a single drop on the pavers. The job ended up taking less time than anticipated, so Russell reduced the amount due by $125 (unheard of and a pleasant surprise). Our pergola is beautiful and we are happy!
Russell also framed out mirrors over both of my vanities with some white trim and it looks awesome! He admitted he was treading on unfamiliar territory, but with much thought and planning, he was able to create the moulding frames and secure them to the mirrors--and my, what a difference! He also installed two recessed lights in my bathroom to provide more light, and once again, amazing! After the entire job was complete, he cleaned my bathroom and left it much, much cleaner than what he started with!
Russell was very thorough, giving me a detailed invoice with a breakdown of labor and materials costs (the final cost ended up being slightly more due to him having to complete more hours of labor with the wall repairs). His pricing was fair and I appreciated him showing me all the receipts even thought I totally trusted his judgment when it came to cost.
I highly recommend Perfect Painting and I would not hesitate to hire Russell (and Roger) in the future!
They tried to change the start date due to scheduling changes but we weren't able to do that and they were able to accommodate us with just one day later than originally agreed upon. They were very neat and cleaned up every day. They were very pleasant to work with, helpful with moving some rubbermaid sheds and helping my husband install a new fan on the back porch (additional cost, well worth it). They took less than 4 days and we would highly recommend their work. They were at our home in Gainesville, promptly, at 7:30am and usually left about 4:30pm. the last day earlier. We will definitely ask them to work with us the next time we need any type of painting, we were very impressed. They came from Middleburg, Florida to SW Gainesville and were pleased to be here.
Russell was very professional. He gave us a great price adn did great work. He did what he said he would do and also
communicated with us well.We were planning to select him because his bid was very reasonable, and then we got lucky in that a postponement of one of his other jobs enabled him to get started on ours right away. In preparation for that, he provided references, answered our remaining questions, and was patient while we worked out a scheduling difficulty on our end. That sealed the deal.
He showed up on time to do the pressure washing and got right to work. An unforeseen difficulty arose with our well pump, and instead of telling us to call when we got it fixed, he said, and quot;I can fix that for you.and quot; He went off to Home Depot, picked up the required parts, and put the pump back into working order--which was service above and beyond! (And, even adding that in, his final bill came to slightly less than the original estimate because he didn't need to buy as much paint as expected.)
After completing the pressure washing that same day, Mr. Rowell and his assistant arrived to do additional prep work the following day. They caulked wherever necessary on soffitts, fascia, posts, and trim. We have an old house, and they were very thorough, so this took most of the day.
The following day, they did a bit more caulking but suggested we put off the painting for a day because of impending rain. This was a very good call as it poured all afternoon.
The next day was sunny, and they again arrived promptly. Soffitts and posts were painted by hand, and some areas where we had had new fascia installed in a separate roofing job, were primed.
The last day was a Saturday, but they again arrived early in the morning and proceeded to paint the trim.
The job was meticulously performed, and they were thoroughly pleasant to have around. The house looks great. It was all done by hand (except the garage door) to insure that the coquina was protected The whole thing came in under the estimate, and we got our pump fixed!
I would hire Perfect Painting again any time.
The walls look amazing and it is all thanks to Russell. He is a very courteous and professional painter, and he knows what he is doing when it comes to painting. I am very happy with the results, the walls look brand new and the stripes look great! Definitely hire this man if you want some painting done, interior or exterior. I am definitely going to hire him for future jobs in my home! Thanks again, Russell!
"What the member doesn't realize is Mr. Cummings paid for all material up front. And I only painted the walls for him except for kitchen baseboards, chair rail, and fire place mantel. He was also moving out so there was hardly any furniture to move around. It took me two days. We also bartered a large television. That's why his price was less than her's. Her price included material. She had less square footage but I did drywall repair and painted all of her trim, (baseboards, chair rail, 10 door frames/Doors, mantel, front door sidelights and entry knee wall cap/column. I also painted her hall bath cabinets and medicine cabinet. It took me 4 days and I had to move her furniture around. I could have charged her more but instead gave her a great deal. Prices will vary according to all factors considered- including time, level of difficulty, and cost of materials. My prices are always competitive and my quality superior. I would have been happy to explain this price discrepancy if I had been notified of the customer's dissatisfaction directly, prior to receiving this post."
