They are very professional and are perfectionist. They did an AWESOME job and I would hire them again and again. They pressure washed and cleaned everything before they started. We had to pause for some raining days, but that happens in Florida. But they made the right choices on which days would be best to apply the paint and I appreciate that. I feel like I have a new house again. They really know what they are doing and have a great work ethic. I highly recommend them!!!

8/18/14 The crew of 3 worked from 8:30am to 1:30pm. They did caulking job. They had to leave at 2 PM, after the rain.
8/19/14 8:26am to 3:40pm - Only Russell and Chris worked today. They caulked and Russell worked on patching the right bottom frame of the French door. Also, door's rotten bottom left. While Chris cut paint. Russell sprayed the first coat of paint.
8/20/14 8:30am to 4:25pm - All 3 of them came today. They cut paint. Russell started spraying and Chris followed with a roller. They finished spraying the left and front sides of our home.
8/21/14 8:28am - Russell and Chris arrived. Then Roger. They applied the trimming. They finished spraying the right and back sides of our home. They left at 3:14pm.
8/22/14 All 3 came at 8:29 AM. Left at about 3 PM. Chris painted the 2 back doors. Russell sprayed paint on the front door. They applied second coat on the trimming.
THEY ARE AWESOME PEOPLE, AND DO AN AWESOME WORK!

Russell Rowell and his two man crew (Chris & Roger) completed the projects in their usual timely, professional manner. A great job as always. They have worked for us before and will shortly be hired again for an interior painting project. Russell job estimates are always met and sometimes finishes below estimate..

We were pleasantly surprised with Russell. He showed up on time and he and his crew have a great work ethic. They even worked on the Holiday weekend to get the job done. I would highly recommend Russell and Perfect Painting to any one. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the work is A+

Russell the owner, came out for the estimate (which was very reasonable) and was able to begin the project the next day! He and his team were knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. They arrived right on time each morning, answered all of my questions through the day and cleaned up every afternoon before leaving. They were very careful to protect our new patio and didn't get a single drop on the pavers. The job ended up taking less time than anticipated, so Russell reduced the amount due by $125 (unheard of and a pleasant surprise). Our pergola is beautiful and we are happy!

This was my second time using Russell to do work in my home--and once again, he did not disappoint! I hired him to remove wallpaper in my master bathroom, repair wall damage, prime and paint the walls, frame two large vanity mirrors with moulding, and install two recessed lights. The job took approximately seven days from start to finish and the entire time, he and his co-worker Roger were very punctual, professional, and courteous. Each day after work was completed, the guys made sure the bathroom was clean and usable (he re-installed mirrors and light fixtures most days when there was not wet paint to contend with). They took their time with the tedious task of removing wallpaper, and because of this there was minimal wall damage. After the walls were repaired and mudded and sanded a few times, they applied primer and paint and it looks amazing! Sure, I could paint myself, but the way the walls look when I paint vs. when a professional does it...world's difference! I could not find one single place that needed to be touched up. Both guys are true professionals, painting without tape and cutting in like pros! They also painted the trim in my bathroom and now it looks brand new!
Russell also framed out mirrors over both of my vanities with some white trim and it looks awesome! He admitted he was treading on unfamiliar territory, but with much thought and planning, he was able to create the moulding frames and secure them to the mirrors--and my, what a difference! He also installed two recessed lights in my bathroom to provide more light, and once again, amazing! After the entire job was complete, he cleaned my bathroom and left it much, much cleaner than what he started with!
Russell was very thorough, giving me a detailed invoice with a breakdown of labor and materials costs (the final cost ended up being slightly more due to him having to complete more hours of labor with the wall repairs). His pricing was fair and I appreciated him showing me all the receipts even thought I totally trusted his judgment when it came to cost.
I highly recommend Perfect Painting and I would not hesitate to hire Russell (and Roger) in the future!

They tried to change the start date due to scheduling changes but we weren't able to do that and they were able to accommodate us with just one day later than originally agreed upon. They were very neat and cleaned up every day. They were very pleasant to work with, helpful with moving some rubbermaid sheds and helping my husband install a new fan on the back porch (additional cost, well worth it). They took less than 4 days and we would highly recommend their work. They were at our home in Gainesville, promptly, at 7:30am and usually left about 4:30pm. the last day earlier. We will definitely ask them to work with us the next time we need any type of painting, we were very impressed. They came from Middleburg, Florida to SW Gainesville and were pleased to be here.

Russell did a great job painting the exterior of my house. He did a thorough job of measuring the house before giving me a quote. I appreciated him emailing me the quote (pdf) and sending me pdfs of the types of paint he was going to use. The quote included the cost of materials. He was great about returning phone calls and following up on questions I had. Russell and Roger paid close attention to detail while working around pesky t-storms. I highly recommend Perfect Painting.

Mr. Rowell came out to the house to provide an estimate on the job. He was very thorough and specific about the amount of paint needed. He was, in fact, the only bidder to actually measure the house before providing a verbal estimate. He followed up by emailing a written estimate and proof of insurance.
We were planning to select him because his bid was very reasonable, and then we got lucky in that a postponement of one of his other jobs enabled him to get started on ours right away. In preparation for that, he provided references, answered our remaining questions, and was patient while we worked out a scheduling difficulty on our end. That sealed the deal.
He showed up on time to do the pressure washing and got right to work. An unforeseen difficulty arose with our well pump, and instead of telling us to call when we got it fixed, he said, and quot;I can fix that for you.and quot; He went off to Home Depot, picked up the required parts, and put the pump back into working order--which was service above and beyond! (And, even adding that in, his final bill came to slightly less than the original estimate because he didn't need to buy as much paint as expected.)
After completing the pressure washing that same day, Mr. Rowell and his assistant arrived to do additional prep work the following day. They caulked wherever necessary on soffitts, fascia, posts, and trim. We have an old house, and they were very thorough, so this took most of the day.
The following day, they did a bit more caulking but suggested we put off the painting for a day because of impending rain. This was a very good call as it poured all afternoon.
The next day was sunny, and they again arrived promptly. Soffitts and posts were painted by hand, and some areas where we had had new fascia installed in a separate roofing job, were primed.
The last day was a Saturday, but they again arrived early in the morning and proceeded to paint the trim.
The job was meticulously performed, and they were thoroughly pleasant to have around. The house looks great. It was all done by hand (except the garage door) to insure that the coquina was protected The whole thing came in under the estimate, and we got our pump fixed!
I would hire Perfect Painting again any time.

We got several estimates, and Perfect Painting was the lowest. He was prompt to respond to our call for an estimate, quick to get us the estimate and able to start the project the next week. Russell sent us to the Color Wheel to get our paint, where we got great service and a good discount. What we thought would be a one or one and a half day project took three days because the walls were in worse shape than could be initially seen once all the wall decor and old fixtures (that we were permanently removing) came down. The prep work alone took an entire day. Russell and his helper worked carefully and meticulously to patch the walls and fill and smooth every single hole. We had some significant holes in the walls from old fixtures but now you'd never be able to tell they were there. The painting then took two days, and Russell and his helper showed up promptly each morning at 8 a.m. and worked the full day, painting the walls, the moulding and the trim work and caulking where needed. The final product turned out better than expected - the paint makes our 90-year old house look new. We were very impressed by Russell's professionalism and pride in his work. We feel that we got an incredible value for the cost. We will use Russell again and would recommend him without hesitation.

Arrived on time. Courteous, professional, and customer oriented. Very thorough prep work prior to painting. Meticulously painted soffits/facsia, shutters, doors/trim, gutters/downspouts, and gable ends of brick home using a high-quality, brand name paint. Entire job was completed in about a day and a half by a two-person team. Outstanding work overall and would highly recommend to others. Very reasonably priced. (Received bids from three other companies).

I hired Russell to paint several rooms in my home: my formal living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, and a hallway. I had him paint everything one color and had him paint stripes in my dining room. I initially contacted Russell by phone and he was very responsive to my call. He immediately set up a time to come over and give me an estimate and was punctual for that appointment. The estimate he gave was $500 for labor and $200 for supplies and I was to purchase the paint on my own. After getting several estimates, I found that Russell's was very reasonable and affordable, so I called him and asked him to do the work. He stated that it would take him 2-2 1/2 days to complete the project. He arrived on time the first day, and was very thorough with prepping the walls. He patched several holes and fixed some damage to my walls, sanded them out, and also cleaned the walls prior to painting. He also slid some furniture away from the wall that I was unable to do myself. He was very professional and courteous, respecting my property and cleaning up at the end of the day. The next day he was punctual as well, got right to work on the other rooms, prepping, patching, sanding, etc. I had some water stains of my ceiling from a prior roof leak and he tended to those, covering them with the proper primer. I could not recall the color of the ceiling, so after a few trips to the hardware store and still without a perfectly matching color, he improvised and added some white paint to the color until it matched. In my opinion he went above and beyond what he was supposed to do, telling me that he wanted to and quot;make it right, and quot; which he certainly did. He was unable to complete the project on the second day and asked if he could return the following morning (a Saturday) to complete it. He arrived on time and finished very quickly.

The walls look amazing and it is all thanks to Russell. He is a very courteous and professional painter, and he knows what he is doing when it comes to painting. I am very happy with the results, the walls look brand new and the stripes look great! Definitely hire this man if you want some painting done, interior or exterior. I am definitely going to hire him for future jobs in my home! Thanks again, Russell!

My husband and I moved into a new home and I contacted Russell to paint all the walls. He was able to come by for an estimate and gave me a fair price and also allowed me to buy the paint on my own (separate from the $975 estimate--that was labor only). Russell also let me know how many gallons of paint I would need. When the job started, Russell and his partner Jeff were on time both mornings. They came in and got right to work. They were extremely efficient and hard working. Unlike other service men, contractors, etc. that I've dealt with, I really felt like they respected our home and our belongings. They worked two full days from 7:30am-3:30pm and got the whole house done. It really looks great. We didn't change the colors much, but friends who have come over since we got the house painted have noticed that we no longer have the bad paint job from the previous owners on our walls! It looks clean, theres no roller marks, all the holes in the wall were patched really well, and my husband said its been the best money we spent so far since we moved in! Russell even fixed a giant crack (15"+) in our drywall! My only qualm is that one of the colors of paint we chose for our three small bedrooms was overestimated and we now have three unopened gallons. Not a huge deal, but its about $90 in paint that we could have saved. I'm now trying to convince some friends that their house would look really great in that color! :) Aside from those unopened gallons, Russell's estimate of how much paint would be needed was spot on. I would definitely hire Russell and Jeff again if we needed more painting done.

Russell first provided an estimate to paint most of the interior of my home. He was very professional and took his time to calculate how much time it would take and how many gallons of paint per room. I appreciated the break-down in cost so I could pick and choose which rooms to paint. He also was kind enough to allow me to provide the paint on this job, as well. His estimate seemed reasonable for both time and cost and he was able to start work on the job with just a day or two of notice--which I appreciated. Russell and his co-worker showed up every day when they said they would, worked a full day, and did great work! I'm very pleased with their service. He is professional, punctual, tidy, and thorough. Russell took the time to make sure that the drywall surface was well-prepared for painting, he sanded and filled in gaps, he took the time to clean up from the sanding, covered all the surfaces before painting and cleaned up each day before leaving. I was pleased with his service and really appreciated having someone working in our home that had such a pleasant attitude. A great attitude and a great work ethic. You will not go wrong with Perfect Painting. I will hire them in the future. I also requested a quote for exterior painting, and while I've not seen his work on stucco surfaces, I will hire Russell to paint our exterior based on my experience.

This was the first time I used Angie's list and I couldn't be more delighted with my experience. I called and asked Perfect Painting for an estimate and Mr. Rowell came out the same day. We agreed on an incredibly reasonable price and they began painting two days later. Mr. Rowell and his helper Jeff were very professional, experienced, friendly and patient with my constant changes to the job. My house went from a plain jane on my street to one that now stands out. Thank you!

Overall the job was  outstanding.
Response from PERFECT PAINTING
"What the member doesn't realize is Mr. Cummings paid for all material up front. And I only painted the walls for him except for kitchen baseboards, chair rail, and fire place mantel. He was also moving out so there was hardly any furniture to move around. It took me two days. We also bartered a large television. That's why his price was less than her's. Her price included material. She had less square footage but I did drywall repair and painted all of her trim, (baseboards, chair rail, 10 door frames/Doors, mantel, front door sidelights and entry knee wall cap/column. I also painted her hall bath cabinets and medicine cabinet. It took me 4 days and I had to move her furniture around. I could have charged her more but instead gave her a great deal. Prices will vary according to all factors considered- including time, level of difficulty, and cost of materials. My prices are always competitive and my quality superior. I would have been happy to explain this price discrepancy if I had been notified of the customer's dissatisfaction directly, prior to receiving this post."

Serious WOW factor! Russell was one of the best or the best painter I have ever used. He showed up on time each day and was exceptionally clean and neat. Very high quality painting job for a very fair price. He cleaned up after each day of painting. There is not one spot of paint where it does not belong. He was flexible since I changed paint colors a couple times and he repainted a couple of areas. He and one other painter completed all of this painting in only two days. Do not hesitate to higher this company.
