Jim Montgomery was AWESOME! I also called two other "Big Guys" for estimates to paint our house. One company wouldn't meet with me for the estimate, they just sent someone over when they had time. The other company said they would call to schedule an appointment for an estimate and never called back! From the first appointment on, Jim Montgomery was always on time, professional and courteous. A very professional and conscientious individual. If there was a question he had about the job, he called to ask and confirm. His work is superior and for a one man operation he completed our house in a very reasonable time frame. Jim pressure cleaned the whole house, prepped, primed and patched. Our house looks GREAT!! I would highly recommend Jim Montgomery.

I was in the middle of a dillema regarding my garage floor. I had tried to do it myself with bad outcome, and now was looking for someone to help correct the problem. I began calling several candidates from Angies list. I had left a message for Montgomery Paint, and Jim called me back promptly. Jim listened patiently to the details of my predicament, and offered suggestions and solutions from his professional position. Although it was determined that he wouldn't be doing anything for me, he actually suggested I was better off taking a few measures myself, he still took the time to talk to me about it. I would use him .for anything I might need based on the character and integrity he displayed. Very pleasant and positive as well

Jim never made me wait and he did a great job at a reasonable price. I will use him again whenever I need painting.

Jim lives up to the descriptive word in his company's name, Montgomery's QUALITY Painting, in all aspects. He has an excellent attitude toward his work, treats customers with respect, and does Grade A work! We are very pleased with the superb pressure cleaning services Jim provided. I would highly recommend Montgomery's Quality Painting to anyone needing staining, painting or pressure cleaning services. Jim, the owner, not only did an excellent job staining my driveway, he helped me solve a problem that I had been having for over two years. (I have a large driveway with an antique colored stain that has been chipping away in various spots no matter what I did to resolve it.) I spoke with several different contractors and Jim had the best approach of anyone. He was friendly, professional and on time, which is something you rarely see in South Florida. I'm not sure how Montgomery's prices compare to other companies, because I was more interested in finding someone that could get the job done right, but the overall value I received was well worth the cost.

The quote was a little higher than what I found through another company. They were not as competitive as the other company. My wife primarily dealt with the technician who came out. I think the owner came out. They are a small business. I had no problem contacting them or scheduling the quote.

He called me immediately, and we set up a tentative date. He came over to see what had to be done. On the day we scheduled he was right on time, with all the materials necessary. It took 2 days , and each afternoon he would clean the work space and leave it in good order. His attention to detail was great, and he always asked me if i was satisfied. GREAT GUY!!!!

We collected three quotes from vendors on Angie's List. Jim's quote was comparable to another company - one quote was considerably more expensive without a clear reason why. Jim works alone, and paints by hand, versus the other vendor that was going to use a crew and spray paint. We have a brand new deck at the back and were nervous that paint spraying would leave it with tiny flecks of paint...when we were finally ready to begin work, Jim was on another project and outlined when he would be available. He asked for $100 deposit (unlike another company that wanted 50% before ever showing up). We spoke a number of times, as the timeline did shift due to weather delays he encountered. But unlike other contractors, Jim DID call me when he said he would to give me new updates, and never promised an earlier date than he could actually do. Once he started, the work was done smoothly. Payments were made along the way, with the final amount due only after the job was complete and we had a chance to inspect the work. He showed up punctually, and finished the job on time. The house looks great, we couldn't be happier. It was probably one of the best experiences with contractors we've had. Would not hesitate to call him back or recommend Jim to friends and family.

HE SHOWED UP ON TIME EVERY DAY AND DID A TREMENDOUS JOB. WHEN WE HAD A REQUEST HE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE. WE LOOK FORWAD TO USING HIM AGAIN.

Better than I could have imagined. The realtor exclaimed that it looked as though the whole condo had been repainted. There were no paint drips or mess. I wasn't sure what paint I'd used 6 years ago, and since Montgomery was just touching up, the paint match was critical. He matched the colors perfectly. I was very pleased that the work was completed on time and on budget -- indeed, a bit better than budget, since he had to buy more paint than initially contemplated. Mr. Montgomery is a pleasure to work with. He's a highly skilled painter, very reasonable, prompt, polite, a man of his word and honest. We have used him before and will use him again. We left him with a key to our condo when we were away for a month without a worry that our place would be in good hands and look terrific when we got back. We were right.

Jim Montgomery did a great job. He was very responsive to our initial request for an estimate to waterproof and paint some outside stucco that we had recently had repaired. Jim's price was very reasonable for the amount of work required. He started on the date that we agreed to, and finished in the number of days that he had estimated. The finished product looks awesome. Jim was very professional in his work, and we will definitely utilize his services again on any future projects.

Jim was a pleasure to work with. He showed up every morning at 8:00 and only stopped working for lunch or rain. His work is excellent and he goes above and beyond what we had come to expect from previous painters that we had used. Jim takes great pride in his work and the results show that. We can't be happier. We have already asked Jim for a quote on doing some interior painting.

Delighted with the results. The contractor initially responded to my inquiry while he was on vacation, promising to follow up when he returned, which he did. The contractor was very careful in cleaning the asphalt shingle roof to limit shingle coating loss. He used bleach in cleaning the exterior walls (with prior consultation) and was very careful to avoid contact with landscaping plants and to liberally rinse all plantings afterward. The contractor epoxied the minor facia insect damage and then primed and painted to match. I inspected the work in progress frequently and NEVER had to ask for rework. The exterior appeared to be newly renovated afterward. During it all he kept the work area clean and thoroughly cleaned up afterward without prompting.

This went very well. He did a very good job, and he is very professional.

Jim was punctual, unobtrusive, amazingly tidy, and meticulous when it comes to matching paint colors and applying paint, and left our outside walls, pavers and sidewalk looking new. Visitors have commented that the indoors looks as if it has all been freshly painted, in rooms where he only did touch up work. Jim is a true pleasure to work with. He spent the time it took to do the job properly. His honesty is remarkable -- twice he corrected us when we were carelessly overpaying him per the contract. We plan to have him touch up our condo before we put it on the market, and to have him back any time we have painting, drywall and power washing work to be done.

We have used Jim Montgomery as a painter for years, and he is, without a doubt, the most professional painter you could ever use. He is always punctual, does a beautiful paint job, cleans up nicely, and pays total attention to detail. I would never use another painter again. Once you've had the best, you can't settle for the rest!

/ If you are looking for a painter, Jim Montgomery is your man . He is extremely professsional and very price sensitive. As for the painting of our home he started each morning at 8 AM and finished in the late afternoon! He used a brush and a roller, there was no spray painting . He also went the extra mile fixing fixing areas of our home that had nothing to do with what he was hired to do. We were very satisfied and impressed. We will definitely hire Jim Montgomery again the next time we have to repaint our home.

Jim was extremely professional and knowledgable in his field and was able to match our existing exterior paint and finish perfectly. We recently had a leaking overhang which dripped rotten wood down the house and columns. Jim was able to seal and paint in a timely fashion and efficient, not to mention, he is licensed and insured -- just perfect.
