i wrote them a check for $250 and they changed it to $!250.. I have alerted my bank and reported the fraud. They put a 1 in front of the 250 and changed the written two to twe, then put in a ve after.

The man came in a UHaul truck. The only chain saw he had with him was a very small one, not suited to trim a tree. His wife told me to show him what to do.. I had no idea on how to trim a Mango tree, but directed him to trim off the branches his tiny chain saw could reach. I was rather angry, so told them to clean up and go as I realized they had no idea on how to trim the tree. They cleaned up the branches then she came to the door to say that they were finished. I gave her a check for the $250 she had agreed on. (photo of agreement enclosed) On the Monday morning I checked my bank account and discovered the check had been cashed for $1250. On looking at the cashed check, I could see that it had been altered.. I enclose photos, also enclose a photo of the carbon copy of the check that I wrote out for $250. I immediately contacted my bank and told them what had happened. They gave me back the $1000 temporarily and I have to send in all the info, check copies, agreement to them and they will take the proper measures.
