I stopped by to get a quote for custom door panels on April 16th. They quoted me $800. I thought it was a fair quote and asked when could I drop it off and how much to start the job. They advised me it would be 1/2 of the total up front and that I could drop it off on April 20th. I agreed however when I arrived on Monday April 20th they said to bring it back on the 22nd which I did and paid the $400 deposit. They told me it should be ready by Monday April 27th of the next week. I left the car and let them get started. Monday came and I didn't receive a call. So I figured it was taking longer so in turn I called on Tuesday April 28th, they said they were having problems with the depth of the speakers I provided so it would require a little more work. He said to give them until the end of the week. My wife returned on Friday May 1st and again the explanation She received was that the speaker depth was a problem however they were past that and we're going to get it finished up. She asked for a date of completion and they told her Wednesday may 6 but the 7th at the latest. On May 7th we both went to pick up the car however to no surprise it wasn't ready, and their excuse... You guessed it, the speaker depth was a problem. However they were past that and would be finishing by the end of the week, all of this after denying that they ever told us the car would be ready on Thursday. Anyways, he said the only thing left was wrapping the panels which they were in the process of doing so, however before I left he finally decided to ask what color I would like them wrapped?? Material had not even been ordered however he told me they were in the process of being wrapped and that I could pick it up Saturday May 9th. Well again to no surprise my wife went to pick up the "completed" car but as soon as she walks in the individual that we have been dealing with leaves the front desk and goes into hiding in the back room. The person that did stay to "help" her was the last person in the world that should be running a shop. He proceeded to tell me wife that we were rushing them and that it takes time and that we could take the car but the cost is now $850 asides from the $400 deposit that we had already provided. After a while of back and forth the shop attendant called the cops as did my wife and once they finally arrived they advised that they regularly gets complaints on them for bad business and he wish he could assist but by law whatever they changed the price to is what I would have to pay to get the car. By this time I caught a ride there and let them know what I thought of their business and the way they operate. I in the end got a car back that was in far worse that then when I took it there and in 18 days they completed not four doors, not three, not two, not even one door. I paid $450 dollars over the original quote plus had to deal with all this hassle for work that was incomplete and horrible. I will be taking this matter to civil court to at least get my voice heard. Moral of the story do your research first.
Description of Work: Shop was paid to build door panels however never completed any of the work that was discussed. Originally quoted 3 days and car sat for 18 days with nothing completed.
