I used the service for 2 and a half years. He mowed my lawn, he trimmed trees and bushes on request for an additional fee, and once even cleaned debris from my back porch. He mowed my lawn for a flat fee: $80 per month. This included mowing 4 times a month in the summer, and hardly mowing at all in the winter. In all, After two and a half years, he suspended my service, claiming that my check had bounced. I sent him a copy of the cancelled check, and he still insisted that it had bounced. I sent him a letter from my bank, saying that I had sufficient funds in the bank, and that there was no record of a check bouncing on my account. Still, he refused to resume mowing my lawn unless I paid him $160, which included the monthly fee for the month that he had not been mowing my lawn for, because he had stopped mowing due to his mistaken belief that my check had bounced. Finally, I got a letter from my homeowner's association that my grass was too tall, and they were going to fine me. It was at that point that I ended my contract with this business. Now he insists that I still owe him money, and we will still have to iron that out.
