Joseph DeGraaf and his company was very disappointing for the positive reviews they initially had. They do not follow their deadlines like they promised, and seem to be over-worked on projects from many of their clients. They promised to cut the bush in the backyard over 2 months ago, but it still has not been touched. In addition, their days to cut the grass seems to be inconsistent.

As the work was being done on our property, we were not on site to manage the job. Apparently we received 2 different quotes, via phone calls, which confused us, and only half the work had been completed. (No mowing, at all) So someone needs to be there to be sure to supervise. They did some of what we asked, but did not provide an email address prior to the job, so I could of sent them the photos of the yard, and explained what needed to be accomplished. I was re-assured that they are professionals and do the move in/ Move out yard clean ups frequently. We paid too much I think for what was trimmed and yard cut.

"The work that was done for the first phone call was completed. We called while we were there doing the work and made sure what you wanted completed. At that time there was more added to the job at which time your husband said he knew there would be an added charge. I gave him a price and he confirmed he was fine with that. We then proceeded to complete that portion of the job. The grass was cut. It was a week later when you came and inspected the job at which time we returned to see what part was not mowed and explained you have rye grass in some areas and it had grown back up. We then mowed the grass again free of charge. Thank you,"

Scheduled the appointment and ended up having to be out of town for work but we spoke on the phone that I wanted the flower beds weeded and mulched as well as some other general clean up items. They gave me a quote on time and how much per bag of mulch. Easy enough or so I thought. They told me they?d be out the following Monday, but never showed until Friday with no calls updating me, again I was ok as this wasn?t something I had to had done so I was flexible. They showed up and called with a few questions and everything again seemed to be going well. They quoted me 80 bags of mulch which at 3 per bag is $240. They ran short and didn?t finished the entire flower bed, but asked and I said I would finish as they did the hard portion. So I came home to find a couple items not done. One was the flower bed on one side of the walkway. I had asked them not to do a portion on the interior of the courtyard so I chalked that up to a miscommunication and said again I?d take care of that portion. I also noticed some stumps that were left by the previous owner were still there as well as two palm trees untrimmed. I received the invoice that weekend and it included the entire 4 hours he quoted me to do the work. He admitted that he didn?t finished the whole flower bed but was still charging the entire portion of the labor. So here I sit with work that I had to finish myself and things they said they would correct left undone. Use at your own peril. To be fair the person who handles the billing and office work was willing so reduce the invoice, but at what point is it not even willing to deal with people who can?t be trusted and then act rude when you ask for the agreed upon work to be completed.

Second the person doing the billing is the owner and I explained to you we would do whatever it took to satisfy you on the work performed and materials delivered. You was not interested in a solution to the problem which was offered in many different ways. In the end you was offered a reduced price which you did not take and paid the full original price. If you was not satisfied with the work performed you would not have paid the full amount when a discounted rate was offered. Thank you for the opportunity,"

They were extremely fast in regards to response time, and did a wonderful job on my lawn. The rate is also very reasonable for what they did with my yard. The guy who actually did the work was extremely professional.

The only reason I gave this company 1 star was their initial response time. I was quoted a price for spring cleanup and maintenance bi-monthly for my yard. When the crew arrived I was told there was no way they could do the job for the $400.00 quote. I guess they thought I would cave in and offer more money. Bad way to run a business.

These guys did a great job. Lawn service team members are really busy and hard to contact in general so that is why I give 4 stars on customer service. 4 stars for value just because it was a little expensive, but yard work is hard work!

Nice and professional. Only issue I had was with the work itself. It was not great IMO. I think I let them try again 2 weeks later and it still wasn't good so I ended up cancelling the services altogether.

Great work and quick service. They're services are no hassle and I didn't have to be at home. They came and mowed my yard and texted me the invoice and i paid it easily online...recieved my receipt via email. Awesome service!
